Within depths of darkness and despair,

I’ve foolishly stumbled along the way.

Still looking for hope to find me there,

aware that I could find a brighter day.

I am told that forgiveness sets us free,

from mistakes that were hastily made.

I pray that those I've wronged will see,

my regrets and how they are conveyed.

I seek hope, so that it can life me up,

as I venture forth to find my way.

Trying not to look as sad as a lost pup.

wishing that hope can carry the day.

All I can ask for grace and understanding,

from all those who I have hurt in living.
