《That teacher Who Saved Me / Adopted By Gerard Way》26

Laysa's pov
I remember the first time I met Gerard, the first time I met the other guys, and the first time I came over.
And sometimes I still can't believe that all of this happened.
But I'm thankful for every second I get to be with him.
He has really helped me.
And I believe I've helped him too.
I've been living here for a month and things have started falling into place.
But today is a complicated day.
"You'll be fine, plus I'm always here to pick you up if needed." Gerard said. I had a feeling that he was trying to convince himself instead of me.
But today was the day. First day of school.
I was nervous. A whole new school after all. Everybody knew each other already, had their own groups and favorite teachers. I on the other hand... had nothing. Except From Gee.
I stepped out of the car and walked towards the door.
This is it. Last second being free I thought as I stepped in.
Everything was so bright I almost lost my eyesight. But people were laughing and giggling amongst their little groups, enjoying their time. I was lucky no one noticed when I stepped in. My goal for today was to go unnoticed.
So obviously there I was. Front of the class.
"So tell us a bit more about you." A friendly looking teacher said.
"Umm- I'm Laysa and..." what do you even say in these situations. When you feel like everything you knew about yourself was swept out of your brain. I should know about myself, right?
I felt my heart beat faster and faster.
"What about your hobbies?" The teacher asked.
"I like reading, I guess..." I said.
"Okay... you can go ahead and sit at the empty seat in the back.

There was only one empty seat.
And it was next to a blonde girl who was on her phone. And let me tell you she didn't not look welcoming. Great. Isn't it?
I sat down hoping that she was caught up on her phone and didn't notice me.
She looked over to me for a second and then put her phone down.
Shit.
"Hey, your name is Laysa right?" I nodded facing the whiteboard hoping she would get the memo that I didn't want to talk to her.
"Cool, I'm Zara." After that she left me alone.
Class ended what felt like in no time.
I was wandering around the halls searching for the next class when I saw Zara talking to a group of girls.
It didn't take me long to realize that they were a popular group. Isn't that great? Popular girls already knew about me?
Suddenly my way is blocked by a tall girl.
"So... you're the new kid Zara has been talking about."
She has? She pushed me against the locker looking deep into my soul
I started to slightly panic but then I heard Zara yell.
"Get your hands off her Rebecca! She hasn't done anything."
She let go of me and walked off.
Zara ran to me asking those questions.
"Are you okay? You sure?" Stuff, that
I was just nodding along too.
She grabbed my hand and pulled me towards her friends.
"Oh hey Laysa it's great to meet you!" A brunette girl said.
They didn't seem so mean anymore. But I was still scared of them.
"What class do you have next maybe we can help you find it, if you haven already,"
Zara said.
"Umm yeah that would be awesome. I should have English with Mr.Ballais." I said looking down at my schedule.

"Oh cool we are in the same class I'll show you the way. Oh and by the way I'm Clare." A girl said. I greeted all of the girls and then made my way to English with Clare.
She told me about the teacher along the way.
Soon enough it was lunch time and I was sitting with Zara and her friends. I've learned that they were actually pretty nice.
"So... you like it here so far?" Zara asked.
"Yea it's pretty nice." We saw Rebecca walk in and glare at us.
"Oh, don't pay attention to her, she thinks she's all that and can mess with people."
Claire said.
We enjoyed our lunch and went off to our next classes.
The rest of the day went pretty quick.
Right as the last Bell rang I was out the door walking towards Gee's car.
I jumped in and rested my head against the headrest.
"So? How was it?" Gee asked quietly.
"Pretty okay actually. I'm not sure but I think I made friends."
Gee lights up.
" Really? That's great news honey." He said hyped.
I could tell he was relieved that today went somewhat okay.
As I stepped into our house I was greeted with the smell of pizza.
There were five pizza boxes on the coffee table.
"Umm I invited the guys over to eat pizza with us and just hang out if that's okay?" Gee asked.
"Of course it is." I liked spending time with the guys.
And soon enough they were here.
As we all sit down in the living room they started to shoot me with questions.
"How was your first day?" Mikey asked.
"Did you make any friends?" Ray asked.
"Did someone mess with you cuz I can show them-" Frank started but Gee cut him off.
"Calm down you little bad boy." He said.
We all laughed at the nickname. They all turned to look at me.
"Umm, the first day was great and I think I made friends, not sure though." I said looking down.
"You're not sure if you made friends?" Frank asked.
I nodded and continued "I think I did but there's always a chance they were just being nice."
Frank nodded along.
"Seems like your first day went okay." Ray said.
We ate the pizzas and talked and played video games for hours.

The world isn't fair. If anything, the inherent injustice of the world is what separates it from the fiction we so adore. Luis Freighthold knew this all too well, and that was why it took a bit longer than it should have to realise when he suddenly had everything he could ever have wanted. Raised in a working-class single-father home, Luis had no other escape than fiction. Specifically, vampire stories of varying quality and genre. There was something appealing about the ability to fly, turn into shadows and become smoke. Danger. An unfamiliarity with the social world that rejected him so. Was it so wrong for him to hope for a different life? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, now he had it—a lust for blood and abilities beyond the understanding of civil man. Could you really say that he had anything left to complain about? A vampire story following an unconventional vampire boy forced to accept that maybe becoming a vampire doesn't magically solve all your problems. As a matter of fact, it might just make a whole bunch of them even worse. Regardless, Luis is prepared to try everything to live up to the vampire books he had previously gorged on. What did it matter that his vampire form had no teeth, replaced instead by a long, needle-tipped tongue? He was still a vampire, wasn't he? Chapters are around 10 A4 pages long, releasing once a week on Mondays, 01:00 CET.
