《Yuri life! In Another World》Chapter – 61 : DEFEATING THE SLIME

Airi could feel two kinds of power welling up inside of her. By sucking blood from Mia, her elemental manipulation control had grown stronger.
But a new skill had unlocked and revealed itself to her. Airi quickly analyzed the information inside her as if her blood was being burnt and reformed with new information.
“Yui I want you to let me get close to the slime.”
“Airi that’s dangerous. I can’t let you do that. And my vitality is at its limit I can’t continue to defend.” Yui was already busy trying to doge te continuous acid-throw attacks from the big slime.
A single drop of that acid was potent enough to leave a hole in the ground and Yui had already lost her armor to it. She could not risk getting Airi in danger.
Airi brandishes her hands and concentrates on her newly achieved power. Her eyes glow red and a myriad of magic power exits her palm.
At the same time, Yui’s body blazes with her blue aura. While she had thought her magic level had almost been depleted, it was rekindled again. More precisely she could feel herself a lot stronger and still growing.
“Airi did you do this?” Yui asks in astonishment noticing the surge in power inside her body.
“Seems like it's working fine on the first try itself,” Airi says with a confident smile on her face. Her fatigue and weakness had vanished after sucking blood from Mia.
One of the new skills Airi learned was augmentation support magic.
“Now can you do it for me?” Airi asked again.
“….Fine.” Yui said forcibly because now she possibly had no reason to refuse Airi.
“Ok. I will make sure this ends in one blow.” Airi was back to her usual perfect magnificent self.

“But let me first tire it out a bit more. I think I am around that part.”
Yui like a warrior girl rolled to her feet, dodging another fast projectile of the demon slime, her eyes now blazing with determination. She knew her power had been quadrupled by Airi’s support magic so she had nothing to fear.
Her defense and attack power was at their peak now.
She raised her sword and charged forward once again, this time aiming for the center of the slime.
The demon slime laughed, its body splitting in two and then reforming as the warrior girl's sword swung through the empty air. The demon flowed towards her, its massive body crushing everything in its path as it sought to engulf Yui.
But she did not flinch and as if her instincts had already seen that coming, she jams her legs into the ground. Rotating her torso, she swung her hand this time charging her sword with her blue aura.
“Take this.”
The blue aura ends up splitting the slime further and pushes it back. Putting a huge distance between them. This was the first time the slime had backed off.
But Yui did not decide to stop there. Receiving Ari’s continuous support magic, her movements had become fast and she could already feel the difference. Like lightning she catches up to the demon slime.
Yui takes position, her sword flashing as she continuously hacked and slashed at the demon slime. Her strikes were quick and precise, each one sending a spray of the demon's smudge flying through the air.
The demon slime roared in rage, its body swelling at the same time it prepared to unleash its full power. But Yui was not afraid. Its body began to glow blue and something in between its body popped in the middle.

“That’s it. Yui’s that’s its magic core. Till now it was mixed in its slime. This is the first time it has revealed it.”
“Yeah. I know.”
The big slime opens wide from the top and big greyish clouds of acid rain form above.
Yui had already left the close proximity and headed towards Airi who had by then raised a magic barrier over herself and Mia.
“Are you alright Yui,” Airi asks worriedly as Yui takes shelter in the magic barrier.
“Yes, that support magic really helped. It made me almost four times stronger than I usually am at my full power.”
After the acid rain stopped and it seemed like the demon slime had used most of its magic power.
“Ok. Then let’s finish this together.”
Yui holds Airi by her waist and in turn, she puts her hands around her neck. The two feel closer and Airi felt herself much safer in Yui’s arms.
“Mia we will be coming back soon. You can rest here safe.”
“Yeah, I will be fine. Please defeat that monster.” Mia despite her weakness somehow was confident that the two girls in front of her could achieve this victory. They were not afraid of the demon slime and worked together to figure out a way to overcome it.
“Let’s go,” Yui yells and she dashes towards the demon slime with her sword raised. Airi was holding onto her tight and it made Yui feel more powerful.
The demon slime seems to be reconstruing its magic and replenishing its slime part. This was the only cool-off period the duo could exploit.
And Airi exactly knew how to do it.
In a last attempt, the slime launched a few acid projectiles at them, but Yui blocked them with her sword.
The two were now almost five meters apart from the big slime monster.
Airi could now finally see exactly how big the slime was and Yui was fighting it all alone till this time.
“This is close enough.”
Airi concentrates while Yui stood by her side ready to protect her from any danger. Airi’s body was now burning with a fiery red aura and her hands a much deeper shade of red flames.
“Airi you need to be fast. The slime might hide its core again.”
Yui already knew that if she tried to directly strike the core her sword would melt, so their best bet was magic. But the demon slime was capable of devouring magic.
That’s why Airi had decided that instead of using magic to kill it, she would evaporate its whole body.
“Crescent Flame Magic.” Airi with her raised hands channels all her magic power releasing a tempest of flames at the slime. But instead of being concentrated, it revolved around the slime without actually hitting it.
Soon the flames transformed into a tornado and the slime was at the center of it.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes

Wander West, in Shadow
BOOK 1 COMPLETED A young wizard journeys west, through dark forests and dangerous lands, searching for something. Accompanied by a wild witch who has secrets of her own, they come across terrible creatures, hauntings, cursed villages, and memories from their past. Who else will they meet along their journey, and to find what he is looking for, how far will the wizard have to wander west? NOTE: The above synopsis is intentionally written to be as spoiler-free as possible. If you would like a more in-detail synopsis, one that contains minor spoilers, please check out the "Synopsis" chapter at the beginning of this fiction. If you read and enjoy, please leave a rating or review! FORMERLY TITLED: THE GLIMMERLING This story was formerly titled "The Glimmerling", because the first part was a short story of that title; it has since been expanded upon, thus the title change. Chapters 1-8 (30k words) are the first 'arc', if you want to get a feel for the story. To give some context on the setting: Magic is a bit weaker in this story than you might be used to, and we start off following some relatively new magic users. For some perspective, being able to light a campfire with magic is considered relatively advanced for someone who is the age of the main character. Magic can become very powerful - and there are some examples of powerful wizards within this story - but it's not where the main characters are yet. Part of the story is about following them as they learn more about magic. Enemies are also very dangerous, and running, hiding, or trying to talk their way out of a dangerous situation is often a better choice than fighting for the characters. While I have added tags for traumatizing content, sexuality, violence, swearing, etc. I try to avoid super-explicit descriptions of these things. But they are part of the story.

Kill the Harem
I was never a person who struggled with anything. Whatever I wanted to achieve, I achieved, except for finding a good reason for living. That was until I died. Perhaps it was karma, or perhaps it was some particularly sick god. I woke up in a world full of magic and encountered all these women who became romantically obsessed with me. It bears an uncanny resemblance to those garbage isekai series that I had the misfortune of reading in high school. The problem is, I loathe isekai. It got to the point where ever time I read about a busty elf-girl wanting to follow the protagonist, I wanted to throw something. It's illogical and it ruins the flow of the story. But now, I'm the one getting harassed by such illogical people? What complete and utter drivel. If any obsessive crazy person tries to make me theirs without even caring about my opinion, I'll f*cking kill them! I'll kill them all! I'm getting back home no matter what. My favorite manga hasn't finished yet and I want to read it to the end. Q&A Section Q: Is the protagonist mentally healthy? A: No, not even close. Q: Are all the female characters stupid? A: Barring extenuating circumstances, nobody rational would fall for a guy like the protagonist, so there's a bit of selection bias going on here. Q: Is this about a Gary Stu killing a bunch of irrational harem characters in a cliche isekai world? A: Go reread the title and the synopsis. Q: Do the women die because they won't sleep with the protagonist? A: No. I'm not sure where anyone got that from since it's entirely the opposite of what happens.
