Spring arrived and a new season began in the Madonia castle, the weather growing noticeably warmer and fresh leaves sprouting on trees. The day of the grand banquet had arrived. Maya woke up to Dexter caressing her bare back, planting gentle kisses there. She smiled, unwilling to open her eyes just yet.
The hands wandered to her breasts, softly caressing and teasing the erect nipples and Dexter's lips travelled to her neck. He had pressed her body against his, wedging a leg between her thighs, his growing arousal nudging her back. Her eyes shut tight, Maya tried to stop the moan from escaping her lips.
His hands ventured even lower as he turned her around to suck on her hardened nipples, the soft sucking sending sensations around her body. Unable to hold it in an longer, Maya let out a moan, her heart racing. Finding the sensitive nub, he began to rub against him, sending shockwaves through her entire body.
"Dexter..." She groaned out, her body arching to meet his. Already she could feel herself growing wet and she began to part her legs for easy access. Letting go of the reddened nipples with a pop, he stared at her, a small smile on his face. Maya hands dived for his hair, pushing him back to her body. Completely beneath him now, her hands roamed his back, caressing and digging into his flesh.
Dexter hands pulled her thighs further apart, before easing himself into her wet, snug channel. A groan escaped his lips, to be joined her moans as he entered her slowly, gently till he was completely fitted into her. Only then did he reach up to kiss her as she rhythmically thrust into her, sending her to a frenzy.
Heat spiraled through her and she strained to reach, needing more body contact. There were as close as two humans could ever get yet she craved more. He didn't take her as roughly as she would have liked, but her orgasm still had a soaring, gasping for air as she shuddered underneath him. He came with a groan afterwards, her body milking out the last of his release. He fell on top her, his breathing erratic, heart pounding. Very gently, he pulled out of her.
"Good morning." He murmured a while later, his voice light. He had rolled back to the bed, carrying her along so she was laying on top of him.
"Good morning yourself." Maya replied, smiling down at him. "I can get used to that." She mumbled, kissing his chest. He chuckled his eyes glowing.
"Really? Then I'll make sure it happens frequently." He replied and she chuckled. They fell into a comfortable silence afterwards with Dexter caressing her hair. "Isn't the banquet today?" He asked.

"Yes, it is." Maya murmured, a frown hitting her lips. After all the weeks she had spent preparing, she suddenly didn't want to go anymore. It seemed as if Dexter was thinking the same as well.
"Then we have to get out of bed." He said as he sat up, placing Maya back down. Kissing her forehead, he murmured. "If it was left to me, I wouldn't let you leave this bed. But we can't do that can we? Not after all of the preparations that was made to make this banquet a successful one."
With that, he stepped out of the bed, draping his robe around his body. "I have to check on the security. Can't have any hiccups, especially today. The maids will be coming in soon which means I have to be out of here. Sorting through his clothes, he brought out a few dropping them on the bed, before going ahead to wash himself. Maya just laid there, feeling wonderful. Today was going to be a great day, judging by the morning she had.
Dexter returned with water dripping from his body which he quickly cleaned off before wearing his clothes. Only then did Maya step out of the bed, the bedsheets wrapped tightly around her, helping him to tie his buttons and ropes together. Once he was done dressing, he kissed her nose, muttering his thanks.
"I'll see you soon. Take care of yourself, okay?" He asked.
"Alright. I'll see you as well." She replied. She watched him as he walked out of the chambers before going back to bed. She was soon drifting off to sleep when a knock came on the door, interrupting her.
"Come in." She called out, disgruntled. Rosa stepped into the room, bowing her head immediately.
"Good morning, your majesty. I'm here for you. We need to get you ready for the banquet." She announced.
"Right now?"
"I'm afraid yes, Your majesty. There are a lot of dresses you will be trying on to find the ones that fit. It would be best we get started early." Rosa explained.
Maya grumbled underneath her breath but she still stood up to wear her clothes. Letting Rosa lead her out of the king's chambers, she followed her till they arrived at hers where she met a number of maids already waiting for her arrival. They bowed on seeing her, greeting her in unison. Maya glanced around the room, stunned. There were racks and racks of stunning dresses she had to try on, numerous boxes of accessories and a grand scented bath.
"I'm going to be trying all of that?" Maya asked, pointing at the dresses.
"Yes, till we find the ones that fit you most. You need to look your best." Rosa replied calmly. Maya stomach turned, nausea hitting her. Today is going to be an awfully long day. Wearing a smile, she glanced at Rosa.

"What are we waiting for then? Let's get this started."

Just as Maya had feared, it took her almost the whole day for her to get ready. After a long careful bath, they prepped her body, rubbing scented oils and massaging her muscles till she felt as soft as butter. Next, she had to try on multiple dresses with matching accessories. The maids couldn't decide on one since they all looked better than other.
Eventually they settled on a purple gradient ball gown, that glowed freely around her legs and was studded with diamonds around her neck. Her hair was meticulously arranged over head, with expensive pins and jewels used. Professional hands applied make up on her face and by the time Maya would stare at her reflection, she could barely recognize herself.
Though she had eaten before they began, she has already began to feel hungry. They brought her a slice of cake that she munched on while they added their finishing touches. By sundown, Maya was finally ready to go for the banquet. Draping a cape around her shoulders, Each maid stepped back to admire their creation.
"You look amazing, My Queen!" Olivia squealed clapping her hands together. Maya smiled warmly at her. " That's because you helped." Maya checked her reflection in the mirror, softly touching her dress, she indeed looked beautiful. The smile on her lips grew wider.
A knock came on the door and Dexter walked into her chambers, with a guard accompanying him. Just like her, he was also dressed up. She watched as his eyes lit up while he stared at her. It took everything in her to not run up to him, wanting him to wrap his hands around her.
"You're all dismissed." He said to the surrounding maids and they bowed exiting the chambers, leaving the two of them alone. That's when he walked up to her. "Beautiful doesn't even begin to describe how you look like right now." He murmured softly as he caressed his face. Maya caught his hands, planting a kiss on his palm.
"I'm glad you like it." She whispered. Glancing back at his face.
"Here, I brought you something." He said as he beckoned to the guard. The latter brought out a box from his cloak, stretching it towards the king. Dexter collected it from him, opening it. Inside was a shiny necklace with strange ornaments encrusted on it.
"I know it's nothing compared to the accessories you have on, but it was my mom's. She had gifted me this on my 14th birthday, asking me to give it to the woman I loved, if I ever found her. To her, love was the most powerful thing in the world." He said as he placed it around her neck.
Tears filled Maya's eyes as she stared at the gift, her lips trembling. Could her heart get any bigger? She wondered as she touched the necklace that was on her neck. Right now it was swelling of love for this man. "Thanks, it's beautiful." She whispered.
"Do you mind if I wore it?" He asked. Maya immediately removed the necklace she had worn earlier, accepting the one Dexter had around her neck. Brushing her hair aside, he helped her wear it, staring at her reflection through the mirror.
"Thank you so much. This fits even more." Maya said, cleaning off the tears that had trickled down.
"It's almost time for the banquet. Are you ready?" He asked.
"As ready as I'll ever be." She replied, grinning at him.
"Whatever the future holds, I hope we'll be facing it together." He said as he picked up her crown, placing it on her head. They walked out of the chambers together, Maya's hand in his. Though he had a neutral expression on, whenever he glanced down at her, his eyes would light up. Maya would always smile at him.
Her heart racing, they reached the huge doors of the banquet halls. The soldiers guarding it bowed at their arrival, with one of them walking in to announce their presence. The loud chatter that was heard earlier soon died down and they stepped into the banquet hall.
One by one, everybody present in the banquet knelt down at the presence of royalty. Music briket out from the orchestra, wafting through the huge hall. Dexter led her to the throne room, his steps in alignment with hers. When they finally arrived at the raised pavement, everyone greeted out in unison. "Long live the King! Long live the queen!"
Dexter turned to her then. Kissing her fingers, he stared into her eyes. "You do the honors." He offered, his lips still lingering on them. Maya nodded before facing the crowd. Her hands fisted into Dexter's own, she called out with an authoritarive voice.
"Rise."
THE END.
