Thaddeus POV

I thought falling asleep with my mate in my arms was amazing, but waking up with him was even better! 

I thought it was so damn cute when he crawled on me in the middle of the night. He kept trying to snuggle closer and closer until he was right on top of me. Once he was on me he never moved again. It was like he was finally comfortable and content. I chuckle as I sit here in my office thinking about it. 

I was awake long before he woke. I just didn't move. I was too happy and wanted to enjoy laying like that as long as I could. When he woke, I was hoping not to scare him with a certain situation that happens each morning down below. Unfortunately, he began to wiggle and move around, which of course only made things harder for me... Literally! 

But he surprised me when I felt he was getting hard too. Then if that wasn't bad enough, the wonderful delicious scent of his arousal began to fill the air. 

I tried to warn him, but this little minx simply smirked and began grinding against me... Fuck! 

The way he got excited like a kid on Christmas as he yanked our clothes off was adorable... His face was lit up, and there was so much excitement in his eyes.

Then like the flick of a switch he turned completely innocent again, as he sat there trailing his fingers over my tattoos with so much wonder, so much innocence like a little kid experiencing something for the first time.

Then again that switch flicked, and he turned into a little minx again as he leaned forward and licked the tip of my dick. But then again the way he did it was more like curiosity. I think he was curious like his body was doing it on its own.

When he wrapped his lips around me and I felt his tongue run along my length, I almost died. His mouth was so warm and wet. And the smell of his slick was so sweet, I thought I was going to explode!

His soft little moans were music to my ears. Feelings his body tremble and the beautiful expression on his face as he reaches his climax was incredible. 

I wasn't surprised he fell asleep. Poor little thing exhausted himself. I carefully climbed out from underneath him and put my pillow next to him since it had my scent on it.

I quietly slipped into my chair and went into the bathroom to grab a warm rag, then came back and cleaned him up. After tucking him back in, I slipped into the shower and then got dressed. I wanted to go to the office and take care of a few things before we went to the training field to see what Aiden and his sister could do. 

I sat next to the bed, staring at him for a few moments, taking in his beautiful face. I wrote a quick little note and set it on the table beside the bed. I looked back at him once more with a smile, then headed down to the office.

Aiden's POV

I woke up and quickly realized I wasn't in Thaddeus's arms, instead I was hugging his pillow. I reached over for him, just to feel his son. The bed was cold, letting me know he was gone for a while.

I sat up, and looked around and didn't see him anywhere. I listened closely, trying to see if I could hear him in the bathroom, but I heard nothing. My stomach dropped, did he leave?

I climbed out of bed and went into the bathroom just to make sure. And sure enough, no one was in there. I checked the closet, but he wasn't in there. I came back out, looking around once more before running to the door wall and opening the sliding glass door. I stepped onto the deck, but he wasn't there. 

I slowly walked back into the room with my head down. I walked back over to the bed and sat down, looking down into my lap. 

Why did he leave me? What did I do wrong? Should I not have done what I did with him? Did that make him mad? I felt so cold and empty as I lay down and curled into a ball. I felt tears roll down my cheeks as I began to cry. I don't understand what I did wrong. He didn't seem mad, but he must have been. How do I always manage to screw things up?

Thaddeus POV

I have Xander, Marcus, and Zendaya, sitting in my office with me. We've been in here for about 30 minutes, going over training and patrol reports, when I suddenly start feeling sad. 

I was in the middle of talking as I slowly trailed off and zoned out, trying to figure out what this feeling was, and where it was coming from.

I felt so sad, alone, empty, and abandoned. 

I finally snapped out of it to Xander roughly shaking my shoulders. I shook my head and looked at him. 

"Man, what's wrong? I can't remember the last time I've seen you cry." Xander said. 

"Cry?... What are you talking about? I'm not crying." I said as I touched my face just to realize I was. 

I looked at my hands not really believing it. I looked around the room at everyone, confused. 

"I don't know where these feelings are coming from..." I said.

"SHIT! It's not me it's Aiden!" I said. 

Unsure of what was going on with Aiden, I shifted to Zeus so I could get there faster.

Xander followed me so he could open the doors, as I raced back to my room.

As soon as Xander opened my bedroom door, I raced in, jumping onto the bed and shifting back to my human form. My abrupt entrance caused Aiden to jump, startled as he turned to look at me.

I quickly grabbed Aiden, pulling him into my arm and wrapping my arms around him as tight as I could. His head went into the crook of my neck as he wrapped his arms around me.

"Baby, what's wrong?" I asked.

I could feel tears on my neck, so I knew he was crying. I pulled his head back, and held his face in my hands, wiping his tears away with my thumbs. 

"Baby please tell me what's wrong so I can fix it," I said. 

"Nothing, it's silly," Aiden said. 

"No, it's not silly! Not if it made you feel like this. Please, tell me what's going on." I said.

"It's just... When I woke up you weren't here. You were just... gone. 

I didn't know where you were, I thought you were mad at me and left." Aiden said.

I let out of breath, as I pulled him back into my arms.

"Shit hun, I'm sorry. I wanted to go to the office to get a few things done before we went to training this afternoon. I left you a note on the nightstand, see." I said as I pulled away and leaned over, grabbing the note and handing it to him. 

He slowly took it from me and looked at it for a few moments, before he turned away from me.

'What just happened?' I wondered.

I put my hand on his shoulder and turned him around. 

"Hey what's wrong?" I asked.

He looked back at the paper and a tear slid down his cheek. He handed it back, and I took it confused. 

"This wouldn't have mattered."

"I don't understand. What do you mean?" I asked.

"I… I can't read," he whispered.

'SHIT!!! Goddess I fucked up!' I thought to myself. 

'Shit, I'm so sorry Aiden, I wasn't thinking." I said, then went to reach for him, but he got up before my hand was able to reach him. 

"It's okay." He said quietly. 

"I'm going to head down to my room to take a shower and change." He said as he pulled his sweatpants on, then walked toward the door with his head down.

"Wait!" I said before he reached the door.

Aiden slowly turned around, as I scooted to the edge of the bed. I extended my arm out and held my hand out to him. He looked at my hand, then back at me.

"Come here Aiden…Please!" I said.

He let out a shaky breath as he walked towards me. As soon as his hand was in mine, I jerked him toward me and his chest collided with mine. 

I wrapped my arms around him, with one hand going to the back of his head, and my fingers threading through his hair. 

"Aiden baby, please don't shut me out.

I'm sorry, I'm an idiot for not thinking about that. Please forgive me." I said, my chest aching, knowing I made him think I was mad at him, then made him either feel stupid for not being able to read the note I left. Or thinking I was rubbing it in his face. 

He pulled back and looked at me for a moment before reaching his hand up and placing it on my cheek.

"I don't need to forgive you." He said in his soft voice and my stomach dropped, thinking he was mad at me, and not going to forgive me.

"There's nothing to forgive. You didn't do anything wrong. I'm sorry I overreacted." he said.

I let out a sigh of relief, I thought he was still upset. I reached up, taking his face into my hands and pulling him toward me as I pressed my lips to his, sucking his lip into my mouth as I ended the kiss, then pecking his lips once more.

With his arms around my neck, he rests his forehead against mine with his eyes closed.

"I love you, Thaddeus!" He whispered, and I swear my heart stopped, and my breath caught in my throat.

I grabbed his face and pulled him back to look into his eyes. I searched his eyes and all I saw was sincerity. He really felt this way. My mate really loves me... I felt the sting in my eyes as tears filled them.

"I love you too!" I said in a shaky, breathless tone before I crashed my lips to his. I squeezed him tight as I kissed him.

This wasn't a kiss of lust, but a kiss of love. We said I love you with this kiss, and I'll never let go!
