‘Day 3’

Ilario was woken by the sound of women singing. It was like yesterday but this time he heard the voices from women. They all have beautiful and charming voices. He detected the area and found out that there were 9 Sirens staying near the entrance of the cave. It seemed that Siren from yesterday called the others to come here, aiming to lure him toward them.

He walked out of the cave and saw the sirens was sitting on the rocks. Their appearances like normal women. Their faces were different but all beautiful. They were wearing their pastel dresses which matching with their hair colors, white, brown, yellow, green, and light blue, like the color of bird features. Their eyes were jet-black, their lips were ruby-red, and their skins as white as show. They were singing louder after they saw Ilario.

He pretended to walk toward them as if he got lured by them.

They slowly walked toward him one by one and surrounded him. Their faces changed to be ugly women, their teeth changed to be sharp teeth. They aimed to eat him.

He used “Teleport” to dodged them. He activated “Wind Dragon Wings” to fly up in the air, then activated “Ardeat” with strong power to blow them all at one shot.

All the sirens got burned without ashes. It remained only big hole on the ground.

Lyra went to hunt since early morning. She killed many monsters, medium to high level, along the way easily. She ascended the steep path up the mountain. She followed the path until she saw Monstrous Dragon, an enormous creature with large wings, grey scales, black eyes, it has poisonous, pointed horns all over its legs and tail.

There were 6 types of dragons in this world. Black and White dragons were the elite class of dragons, their existences and powers were mysterious. Apart from Helius in Black Dragon form, there were some of elves had seen the real one once at the ancient time. The other 4 types of dragons were the normal class, their existences had been being seen periodically since the ancient time; The strongest one among the normal class were Red Dragons or Fire Dragons, they were staying in East World; The next one were Blue Dragons or Ice Dragons, they were staying in North World; The next one were Green Dragons or Wind Dragon, they were staying in South World; The last one were Brown Dragons or Earth Dragon, they were staying in West World. The normal class of dragons were secluding themselves in the large mountains since the ancient time. They showed up when they were hunting their preys, and mostly near the mountains. They did not attack humans if the humans did not intrude or attack them first.

After the incident of monsters in the past, Diabolus changed Earth Dragons to be Monstrous Dragons, their scales changed from brown to be grey, their eyes turned black, their wings were larger than the old form, and all over their legs and tail grew pointed horns with venom. They also got the ability to breathe toxic gas. Normally, the Earth Dragon cannot breathe fire but they have very thick skins and scales, and the concealed ability. As the combination, it made Monstrous Dragons the cruel and strong monsters. They killed every lives in front of them since then.

Lyra activated “Water Barrier” and “Wind Floating” to prepare herself for killing Monstrous Dragon.

It sensed Lyra’s magic powers and looked at her, then reared up. It was roaring, snorting, and beating its wings.

Lyra shot fire magic arrow, aiming at its head but it used its wing to sweep the arrow easily. She activated “Fire Shooting” to shoot many fire balls to attack it, then changed her direction with high speed and flew up to the sky before it breathed toxic gas toward her. She was activating water and fire magic on arrows, and shooting at Monstrous Dragon from many directions continually. Her attacks worked well, the Monstrous Dragon was injured from the attacks.

Monstrous Dragon began to fly and follow her because she always kept distance when she was attacking it. It flew toward her and breathed toxic gas at her.

Lyra activated “Water Barrier” very thickly and dodged its toxic gas. She waited for a chance to attack back while she was flying away from it. She was faster but smaller than Monstrous Dragon. She could dodge its attack with her speed.

Monstrous Dragon continued to follow her and breathe toxic gas.

Lyra got a chance, she shot strong fire magic arrow at its mouth while it opened its mouth to breathe toxic gas. The arrow pierced through its open, fanged mouth to hit the area near its brain.

Monstrous Dragon yowled and screamed loudly. It flew toward Lyra aggressively. Lyra flew up, then shot fire magic arrow at its eyes. It went wild after it got shot in the eye. It beat its wings aggressively. Lyra hurried to shoot strong fire magic arrows at its head continually until it stopped moving. She activated strong fire magic power on her sword, flew toward it, then cut off its head. She activated “Fire Burn” to burn its body and destroyed dark magic stone.

Antlia went to the area near the cave like yesterday. She hoped she can find Cyclopes and kill all of them to rush her scores. She surveyed the surrounding area and found a group of Cyclopes coming out of the cave, there were 5 of them in total.

She changed the tactic because it wasted time to kill them when they went wild and run madly. She activated strongly “Fire Wall” to block and surround them. She activated “Wind Floating” to fly up in the air, then shot fire magic arrows in their eyes and heads one by one continually. Some of them tried to run away but they were blocked by ‘Fire Wall’. She continued to shot fire magic arrows at them and activated “Flame Slashing” to cut off their heads and bodies. She activated “Fire Burn” to burn them, then destroyed dark magic stones inside them.

Norma went to hunt since the early morning. She wanted to make scores as much as she could at the last day. She killed many monsters which were mostly medium level. She looked for the high level of monsters to rush her scores.

She went to the area near the cave and encountered with 3 Minotaurs. She hurriedly activated “Wind Floating” to fly up in the air.

The 3 Minotaurs was throwing the rocks to attack her. She dodged and shot fire magic arrows at them. They threw larger rocks to her. She flew up higher to dodge their attacks. They were attacking her nonstop. She focused on killing them one by one. She shot fire magic arrows at head, one of them, then repeated the shots aiming at its head and eyes. She activated “Wind Slashing” to cut off its head and body while dodging the attacks from another 2 Minotaurs.

She focused on next Minotaur. She shot fire magic arrows aiming at its head but it used a rock to block her attack. It learnt her tactic.

They threw the rock to attack her continually. They tried to limit her movements. She changed her tactic, she flew toward them by shooting the rocks along her way. She activated strong “Water Bubble” to cover heads, both of them, to make them suffocate.

They ran to smash the trees, hoped that they could destroy water bubble on their heads. She waited for them to suffocate and stop running madly. Afterward, she activated “Wind Slashing” to cut off their heads, burned their bodies, and destroyed dark magic stones.

Sagitta walked through the woods. She was a lot more chill about hunting today. She was confident that she hunted many medium and high level of monsters in the last 2 two days.

She found a group of Chimeras, there were 10 of them in total. She climbed up the tree, then shot set of fire magic arrows, aiming at their heads and vitals areas.

They were running toward her, some were surrounding the tree, some were crashing the tree to make her fall.

She activated “Wind Floating” to fly up in the air, then shot many sets of fire magic arrows, aim at their heads and vitals areas. She killed half of them very quickly.

The remaining Chimeras started to run away. They knew by their instincts that they could not attack her.

She followed them and killed them all. She collected all of their bodies to pile up in the same area, then activated “Fire Burn” to burn all of them, and destroyed dark magic stones.

Oliver started to hunt at dawn. He killed many low and medium level of monsters until the sun climbed higher in the sky. He walked through the woods and saw a group of Griffins eating their preys. There were 5 of them in total.

He hid himself at blind area and climbed up on the tree. He shot fire magic arrow at head, one of them, then continue to shoot in vitals area to kill that one. He changed to another direction to hide himself very fast.

The other 4 griffins were frightened after saw one of them got killed and looked around to find the source of attacks.

Oliver shot fire magic arrow at head, another one of them, then continue to shot in vitals area to kill it. His instinct of hunting was very high. His attacks were all the effective attacks. He hid himself well and find a chance to attack the remaining griffins.

The other 3 griffins were finding the source of attacks and breathing fire randomly. One of them flew to the sky to look for the intruder.

Oliver hid himself well, he was always staying at blind area. He was careful in each step and wait for a chance patiently. He shot fire magic arrow at head, one of them, then continue to shot in vitals area to kill it. He did the same with another one.

The problem was the last one that was flying in the sky. It swooped down from the sky to attack him. It saw him at last. It breathed fire at him continually. The trees were burned by its fire.

Oliver ran and dodged its attacks. He found new blind area to hide himself, then shot fire magic arrows at its head and vitals area.

It was still moving and breathing fire toward him. He dodged and climbed up the tree, then shot fire arrows at its head and vitals area until it was dead. He destroyed all dark magic stones and continued to hunt without a rest.

The hunting competition was about to come to an end.

We began to gather at the gate one by one. Ilario was the first one who came at the gate. He did not make himself seriously compete in this event since the beginning. He just killed the monsters that got in the way. Lyra, Norma, Sagitta, Antlia, and Oliver came toward him respectively.

“You’re fast,” Lyra said.

“Yes,” Ilario said and smiled at her.

“Did you hunt a lot?” Norma asked.

“No, I hunted some,” Ilario said and asked, “what about you?”

“I hunted a lot,” said Norma enthusiastically.

“I’m sure I will get the prize,” said Sagitta confidently.

“We’ll see,” Antlia said.

“If you three said so, I will lose for sure. I hunted for day and night!” said Oliver, he has grim expression on his face.

“Ahaha…” Antlia, Norma, and Sagitta laughed at him.

“All right. The gate will open soon,” Lyra said.

The gate was open. We walked through the gate and reached to the training ground. The time did not change from the time when we went inside The Hunting World. Everyone came back from the same gates which they went inside from the start.

“I will announce the highest scores for the top 10,” Queen Agnes said and activated fire magic power in shape of large scoreboard in the air.

Lyra took the first place with highest scores. Ilario took second place. Antlia took third place. Sagitta took fourth place. Norma took fifth place. There was no Oliver’s name on scoreboard.

“Did you say you hunted some?” Norma asked.

“Yes, I did. I killed monster 1-2 hours a day,” said Ilario honestly. He was also surprised by his rank.

“What kinds of monsters you had killed?” Lyra asked curiously.

“A group of Basilisks, 5 Hydras, and 9 Sirens, that’s all,” Ilario said.

Everyone looked at him with surprise.

“Is it hard?” Ilario asked.

“Yes,” Everyone said.

“It’s hard to find a group of Sirens, not even talked about its level,” Lyra said.

“Man, that’s unbelievable,” Oliver said.

“All the top 10 come here to get the white apples,” Queen Agnes said.

All the top 10 received white apples from Queen Agnes respectively. Apart from Ilario, they were all young women elves. It was true that young women elves greater than young men elves in fighting. After he saw the others clearly, more than half of Bellators were young women elves.

We grouped together after received white apples.

“Eat it. It will help you to increase magic power,” Lyra told Ilario.

“Um…” Ilario was speechless. He knew the fact about this matter as well but he thought that it was no need to say it out loud.

“Are you sure?” Lyra asked Ilario.

“Yes,” Ilario said, “I had eaten once.” He reassured her with a trick. It was true that he had eaten once but it was gold apple from Athena Goddess not white apple from the world tree.

“All right. If you say so,” Lyra said. She asked him because she did not want him to lose a chance to eat white apple.

“Thank you, Ilario” said Oliver sincerely, he has a happy expression on his face. He lowered his voice to a whisper and said, “I’ve never gotten chance to eat it before, you know, that’s why they look so young.”

“Just shut up and eat it!” Lyra said. She heard his whispers.

“Haha…” Ilario laughed at Oliver. In his heart, he wanted to know the real age of them as well but he knew that it was rude to ask them directly.
