《Drakon the Necrolord v2》Chapter 24

Chapter 24 First things first I headed up the stairs to the balcony and entered what looked to be my room. Opening the door the room inside was a lot larger than expected. The width inside would overlap where the next door would be. Looked like individual rooms wouldn't have any size limitations. Aimee fluttered up behind me as I went in. The room looked like a copy of my old room at the school. The only difference was that Grim's bed wasn't there. "The room's contents can change to whatever you like, right now it defaulted to the last place you called home." Aimee chimed in from behind me. "If you look out the window it will even have a simulated view of what it would be like if you were there." "Now as it's a bedroom when you are in a physical location you can use this room to sleep and rest in. When in dream mode of course that won't work as time stands still." Aimee snapped her fingers. "That's one thing I forgot to tell you, your time in the dream version is now maxed out at 10 minutes times your level. Unless it's for important events like this when it's technically unlimited." I wondered why that was and I think Aimee saw it on my face. "As you can now use your room to train and learn new skills it would be a big exploit if you could spend hours and hours here just training. The physical version just has the 8-hour limit, so you can use that to sleep or train or whatever you want in that time.“ I spent a few minutes looking around the room before heading over to the other side of the hall and entering the room of the Chosen. As soon as I entered the room I saw a bunch of skeletons standing under what l; looked like showers, they all turned to me and screamed. "Knock before you enter." and one of them slammed the door back shut. Aimee was rolling on the floor laughing. "You should see your face, They told me they would pull that prank on you." She knocked on the door and then opened it. The skeletons were now standing in what looked like barracks all standing to attention in front of me. the room itself had alcoves in the wall instead of beds that had what looked like coffins in them. In the back of the room was a small training area set up with armour and weapon stands. In the middle between the alcoves, there was a random assortment of round tables and chairs set up to make it feel like a bit of a common room. The bannerman stood in front and saluted me "Sorry about that sir, the guys wanted to pull that prank on you. When we are not summoned this is where we will hang out." And he gestured to the tables and the training area. "We just spend our time playing cards and doing training. When here we have a bit more freedom and personality than on the outside. We are confined to this room and the throneroom downstairs." Still a bit de in the cheeks from earlier. "As you were. Well if you need anything just let me or Aimee know. Here I don't mind pranks. Outside don't do it to me, Grim is fair game though." Winking at them which git me a slight chuckle. "Dismissed, and next time just keep doing what you were doing if I come in here, no need to get to attention." With that, I turned around and headed back down to the table in the throne room. "Now let's get to leveling up. Do I do it one point at a time or all at once, how will this work?" Aimee replied "You can do it both ways, but i suggest one at a time, that way you can change your mind about the point depending on what you get. Also as stated earlier what bonuses you get depends in part on what points were spent in other categories as well." Current Level 5 Level ups remaining: 5 Commander (necrolord) : 1 Necromancer (necrolord): 2 Dhampir (race): 1 Fighter (necrolord): 1 Unpicked available paths: Mage (Int above 10) Priest (parents) Skald (parents) Wolfrider (Luna) Architect (study) Summoner (Necrolord) Reviewing the list I decided to do one point at a time as suggested starting with commander. Commander lvl 2: Banners now gives a morale and damage bonus depending on the unit and its accolades. (for the chosen banner that gave it only bonus damage against wererats, as undead have no morale stat) This would come in handy for when I would be able to use other units. As soon as that trait activated next to the door of the chosen a banner pole appeared with the banner unfurled showing a skull and crossbones motif, and a wererat skull on top of the top spike. Continuing on. Commander lvl 3: New unit slot unlocked (now 1) I looked in surprise at Aimee. "Shouldn't I already have a unit slot?" "Right now you have 1 summoned slot and you just unlocked your first normal unit slot. If you were a level one guy, your first commander unlock would probably be this perk instead of gaining it at lvl 3." I already decided that the next unit would be my scouts so the extra slot came in handy. I would talk it over with Sissy and see how that worked later. Deciding that next I would lean a bit into riding Luna. Wolfrider lvl 1: All wolves and units riding wolves now get a small speed boost and a reduction in stamina costs. This would come in real handy on longer travels to reduce travel time. Necromancer Lvl 3: Extra unit type unlocked Ghost wolves. Ghost wolves can now be used instead of skeletal wolves for mounts of units. Or be made into its own independent unit. Mount and rider count as separate individuals for troop count purposes. Summon unit slot unlocked (now 2) I probably wasn't going to unlock a cavalry unit yet, Thinking just going with a unit of archers for my second unit would be a better choice. Wolf rider archers though. The last point I would use to increase my race. Dhampir lvl 2: Vampire Alacrity, Toggle skill: At a cost of increased stamina can double speed for a maximum of 5 minutes total per day. Time seems to move at half speed to you while using this giving the impression of increased reaction speed to those viewing this from the outside. My new levels were now: Current Level 10 Level ups remaining: 0 Commander (necrolord) : 3 Necromancer (necrolord): 3 Dhampir (race): 2 Fighter (necrolord): 1 Wolfrider (Luna): 1 Unpicked available paths: Mage (Int above 10) Priest (parents) Skald (parents) Architect (study) Summoner (Necrolord)

Greys II - Ghosts
There he stood, dark eyes, dark hair, beautiful in the most devastating of ways. It scared me how little he had changed, his hair was longer and black, his frame thinner, like he hadn't eaten since I last saw him. His eyes were different, lacking something they had always held before, lacking anything really, and yet he was the same. He looked weak, but I knew he wasn't. "Hi, angel."His voice was just as dead as his eyes. It sent a shiver up my spine. That was the reason I felt sick, that was the reason he seemed different. He was dead, and as much as I wanted to hate him, I was sad he was empty, sad he wasn't the same man anymore."Hello, Gabriel."My voice came out softer than I would have liked, the words burning my tongue. But it didn't matter, I got the desired effect even if the volume wasn't there. He flinched, his eyes widening, his eyebrows twitching up and together, his jaw setting for just a moment. But then it was gone and he looked away, death settling back in his eyes, in the lines of his face.» ✦ «#2 in Angel Romance#3 in Demonology#11 in Thriller#Mature, 18+ for all the reasons. Not a YA novel (again).**Due to disturbing themes, violence, depression, language and literally everything else, this is not for the kids. Ghosts is darker than Intentions.
