April was tapping her feet constantly on the floors of Inez's living room. She was anxious, starved , exhausted and running impatient.

"What's taking him so long?" She asked Inez who was standing by the bar counter, holding a glass of whiskey. The driver was taking his needed time to arrive..... And Inez made a mental note to fire him after this. He could've picked any other day to be late but not today.

"Too eager for the flight?" Inez chuckled , unmoved by April's unstableness. The poor thing must've slept in the streets again, intoxicated by the drugs she kept on taking, Inez thought. Inez wondered why her brother ever paid April attention, took her in and requested that April be employed in Inez's fashion house. To Inez, April was a nobody. That's one thing Betty had over her, atleast Betty was actually smart and could work her heart out and deliver despite her meaningless background. April was useless. A junky and an absolute failure. That's how Inez thought of April.

"I want to see James. So yes, I'm eager." April's green eyes were wilder than they ever had been. She spent two years praying that James would wake up. The number of nights she intoxicated herself so that she wouldn't think of James as a dead man. She actually loved him. It wasn't some silly obsession, to April, James was her only person.

"Listen to me April , and listen carefully. I know you can't wait to see my brother but this isn't a reunion. You are aware of what must be done. Elisabeth can't end up with my brother. Take care of that matter."

April was already living in hell. She had lost everything, even her own mind. When life turned upside down, she turned to the streets. First, it was the accident. The thought of losing James had her running from dealer to dealer. She wanted anything to take the pain away. She was already an unstable girl, she didn't know any better. It was only a matter of time until the world swallowed her. When she finally got tired of being wasted on drugs, it was too late. She could no longer live without a dose. She needed help. And so April found a way to return home.

But her family wanted nothing to do with her no more. Especially after what became of her. She was unrecognizable. It's like a part of her died that day James stopped opening his eyes. It messed with her head. She was scared, alone, worried. She didn't know him for a long time, but that didn't matter. Atleast he cared about her somehow. Even though it was a little bit. She always had attachment issues. And James made her feel safe. And she loved him. That was enough reason to grieve.

"And why should it be me? You can hire anyone to do it. " April questioned. "Why must I get my hands dirty?"

Inez downed her whiskey and looked directly at April. "Because I'm paying you to do it. And besides, I'm sure you want Elisabeth out of our lives as much as I do. You are the only one who can get close to that mansion and directly inside without causing suspicion and I'm sure they won't be alarmed by your arrival. From there, you'll do what you must."

"They'll know it's me. That I did it." April raised her voice.

"And I'll do everything in my power to protect you and get you out of there." Inez responded. If April got caught, both of them would be compromised.

"What If she dies?" Deep inside, April was terrified.

"She won't." Inez assured. "Elisabeth will only be in a coma for probably less than six years until her nervous system resumes it's precise function. Whatever is in that injection would make all our problems disappear. And all it takes is for it to pierce Betty's skin and into her veins. I'm not a murderer April, you have nothing to worry about." Inez spoke calmly. Something that encouraged April to go through with this.

"When is the flight? Does it have to be tonight Inez? Must I go tonight?" April wanted to go that night, but then again, knowing what she was about to do to Elisabeth, she was slightly hesitant.

"In an hour time. I've been informed that Enos arrived in Malibu since the afternoon and he has seen Betty already. She didn't return with him to the hotel, unfortunately. Someone on the inside just confirmed that Betty is still with James in his mansion as we speak. So you need to be there tonight to execute everything and leave. I thought Betty would go away with Enos, but I guess something else has to separate her from my brother. And if her son isn't reason enough, then maybe she deserves what's coming to her."

April knew that James would never be with her. And she was ready to live with the fact as long as he was alive. But she hated Betty. April loathed Elisabeth Wilson with her entire heart and she would rather Betty be dead if she could guarantee everything would be alright, she hoped deep down that Betty would die in that coma.

Inez had doubts that Betty would leave with Enos. She was watching them. Hired a private investigator to keep a close eye on all of them. She was hoping that Betty would be wise enough and leave with Enos after they met again but apparently she is still in James' mansion.

There was a chance that Betty would change her mind but Inez wasn't ready to wait for that. She was running impatient as well.

On Inez's phone screen were pictures of Betty and Enos talking by the beach. Inez stared at each image. Those pictures were sent to her just two hours ago by the investigator. Betty left Enos and her son by the beach and returned to James. Probably choosing him over a perfect shot at a happy family. Inez thought of Betty as selfish and that's too bad. Because now Betty was about to lose it all.
