Narrator......

"We can't simply accept the fact that James is willingly going after that woman again. I never had anything against Betty before but that has changed after realising that the reason James ended up having that accident was because of her." Inez spoke out. "He went after her in Georgia and the woman couldn't even reconsider even when seeing the effort he put on fixing everything. I'm taking dad's side on this."

Adrian who has always been in support of Inez agreed with her. "What makes me upset about all this , is why on earth did nobody tell me about this Elisabeth woman? And the fact that she was involved with you..." He pointed at Callum who was sited on the coach across the large living space. "And with James as well. Since when did you two decide to leave me out on stuff like that."

Callum was infuriated. "The only reason that Inez is blaming Betty is because she wants to win Uncle's love and trust again." He responded to Adrian, not bothering to even look at Inez because he knew her to be an hypocrite. "And that's fucked up because Betty didn't cause that accident. She wasn't even in the car."

Inez instantly kept an empathetic gaze, "You Know that's not true Callum. I'm looking out for James. He deserves to put his life back together. He lost everything because of that heartless woman."

"Two years in a coma ain't shit." Adrian added. "That girl messed up his life."

Callum could barely believe the words they coming out their mouths. "Ruined his life? Are you even hearing yourself? If anything, James is the one who ruined Betty's life. She didn't have anyone, all she had was her education, and herself. But then she was thrown in prison , she doesn't even know that your father had her scholarship taken away. She doesn't even know that Mister Scott has blacklisted her from all universities in the country. She literally has nothing now."

"Well she asked for it." Inez fired. "My brother lost two good years, he would've been done with college by now and managing mother's assets. He could've been so far in life."

"But atleast he has something to come back to. He doesn't even have to rebuild his life. Everything was being handled perfectly by your father so that when he wakes up- he can go on with life like nothing happened. Atleast he can pursue his dreams in his country... What about Betty? How selfish must you be to not see that Betty is the victim in all this?"

"Are you still in love with her?" Inez asked Callum. "You are thinking with your heart instead of your head. James is your best friend you should be on my side. That woman deserved to be locked up.

Adrian kept his mouth shut. He had never seen Callum that angry before and he knew better than to get involved in this. What he couldn't understand is why this woman was so important to Callum and James? And how had he not noticed anything as it happened right under his nose?

Callum on the other hand was outraged. He wished that he knew sooner that Betty was locked up in jail for two years. He only found out about this 20 minutes ago when Inez came complaining about how Betty was suppose to rot in prison. Inez knew all along but because of her selfishness, because she wanted her father to love her again, she let Betty get so mistreated.

"It's none of your business whether or not I still love her. But I would suggest that you find a place to hide because the moment James finds out about what you did to Elisabeth, he will never forgive you. And trust me. He'll make sure you get your portion for being an accomplice in this." Callum put his points across.

"James will eventually return to his senses and realize that his family is right."

"He doesn't even consider you family." Callum bluntly stated. "He already despises you."

Inez was hurt by that, but she didn't let it show. She was going to get to the bottom of this. All Inez wanted was to be accepted by her father again and prove that she would do anything to protect her family.

Inez quickly left Adrian and Callum's apartment. There was something that Inez knew that nobody else did. For a while Inez was keeping an eye on the man that Elisabeth was involved in. She hired a private investigator to watch Enos White's every move for her own motive.

And that's how she came to find out that he had a son.

But the baby was just a year old and Enos has been single since Betty went to jail. So who is the mother? It was fishy to Inez that suddenly Enos was a father, could he have made some woman pregnant?

Inez kept digging and eventually found out that Enos had a death certificate prepared for Elisabeth. Which only raised her curiosity more. Why would Betty want people to think she died? Unless she wanted to perhaps hide something. Like giving birth in prison perhaps. And so Inez had the investigator dig up the baby's birth certificate because she had her suspicions. That's how she found out that Elisabeth is the mother of the boy and hence proving her assumption.

Inez knew that piece of information serve a purpose someday. And so today was the day.

She wanted to make sure that James would stay miles away from Betty. And there's only one way to make this possible.

When she arrived at her mansion, she took out Enos White's number and called him.

Inez was smart, she wanted everything to be as messy as possible. So she pretended to be an officer from Georgia prison, giving Enos very good news. She wouldn't get her hands dirty herself. But she new desperate men do desperate things.

At around 10 o'clock in the evening, Enos white has returned from work and was feeding his baby boy while sited in bed. After feeding the boy and putting him to sleep, he took a shower and prepared to rest. That's when he received a call from an officer of Georgia prison.

"Mister Enos White?"

"Yes, that's me. Can I help you?"

"I'm informing you that Elisabeth Wilson was set free about a day ago. She is currently in Malibu. I'll send you the address and all details of were you can locate her residence."

A sharp pain coursed through Enos' right arm and went all the way to his spine. He slowly sat down on the bed and desperately tried to balance his breathing. He discarded the phone on the side table as he heard a ringing in his ears.

Enos was confused and shocked beyond despair.

He wondered whether he heard the call right.

Could Elisabeth be alive?

Enos feared he was on the verge of having a stroke. He could barely feel his arm, the news was too overwhelming for him to comprehend.

How is that possible? Could that couple from a year ago lie to him? They said Betty died in labour. He spent months trying to convince himself that Betty was never coming back. Did Betty know they were lying to him?

But why was she in Malibu? How did she even get there? He reckon having all her documents. Where did she get a passport? Could someone have helped her?

But most importantly, why didn't she look for him? He knew that Elisabeth had nobody left. Her first stop would've been Tennessee where his dad was. Who could she be with? Was she alright? What were her plans? She must miss her son. She must him.

But he didn't think about that for long.

He was suddenly overjoyed that she was alive. A laughter escaped his lips as he laid flat on the bed. Betty was alive! And now they could be a complete family. He thought to himself.

Enos hadn't been that happy in the last two years. He felt on top of the world. Images of Elisabeth and Hayes in his arms made him sleep soundly that night. He had never slept so peacefully after everything that happened. He was thrilled.

He wouldn't waste time.

The next morning Enos booked the quickest flight to Malibu for him and Hayes. He wouldn't wait for Betty to find them. He borrowed a short leave from work and college.

Elisabeth couldn't sleep that night. After James made love to her, she spent the night watching him. She needed to find the words to reveal to James that she had a son with Enos. Those thoughts haunted her the entire night. She had to tell him first thing in the morning.

But the morning came and she still couldn't do it. Waking up to James was a dream that she didn't want to end. And she knew she couldn't keep that secret for long. She had to tell him today before he finds out on his own.

After returning from the hospital that morning and spending the whole day together, Betty wanted to take a long walk at the beach for a change. She asked James to let her do this alone to clear her head.

That same evening, Enos and his son arrived in Malibu, they lodged at a hotel by the coast. Neither Enos nor Betty knew that they were only a few minutes away from seeing each other again.
