OVERTHROW STAGE ,, 08:00pm
Spotlights shine on the three teams who are now standing together on the stage. The audience, though reluctant, was forced to leave after the performances. Now it's just fifteen boys, three mentors, and one .
Welcome back to ! Our three teams have just put on three spectacular and unique performances, and it's now time to reveal the mentors' thoughts.
After each performance, the other ten boys in the waiting room voted for the member of the team that they thought performed best.
The screen shows a flashback to the trainees in the waiting room, struggling to choose who to vote for.
There were a couple of ties, which were broken by our audience that watched today! Each of them voted for the seven boys who they wanted to see most in .
After a team's place is revealed, the screen behind me will show each person's individual rank within that team. But before we can reveal all of that, let's hear the mentors' critiques.
The camera pans to the mentors sitting at the panel, notes laid out in front of them.
I'd like to start by saying that putting a performance together in two weeks is no easy task; you should all be proud of yourselves for pulling that off.
However, no team was perfect, and there are places in which all of you can improve.
The main categories we assessed you in for this mission were group suitability to concept (25%), ability of individuals to match their parts (30%), level of difficulty compared to your skill level (25%), stage outfits (10%), and center (10%).
Should we give critiques first? Or will that make things too obvious?
(whispering) Check the script
...
OH!
Right, yes, I'm very prepared.
As said, it's incredible that you were all able to pull this off in such a short amount of time. Especially when some of you (side-eyes trainees) were a mess at the interim evaluation.
I was especially impressed by team 's clean execution of the choreography, despite having lost two full days of practice.
I'd also like to applaud team for how relaxed they looked on stage, they looked like seniors despite having the youngest average age among the groups.
If we're all giving compliments, I'm proud of team for their risk-taking. They went bold with their song choice, though I'll elaborate more on what I mean later.
Thank you all for your comments! Now, before we get to the real critiques, the judges told me that they wanted to reveal first place first due to the fact that this team was near perfection. It'd be too obvious that they were ahead of the rest if the judges gave their critiques first.
The boys express their surprise, raising their eyebrows and glancing around.
┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈
I couldn't believe they wanted to reveal first place right away...like wow okay. I kind of just crossed my fingers because I knew the first-place center bonus was pretty huge...I really wanted it.

I was nervous beyond belief! From my perspective it didn't feel like any team performed on a different level compared to the others, it felt like an even playing field. It's anyone's game in my book.
┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈
The leader of this team is craftier than anyone thought. They had a clear game plan in mind, though it didn't appear like that to the competition.
┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈
Oh, cut the theatrics already...that could be literally any of them right??
My first thought was ! And then I went 'ooo but what about ?' and then I remembered too and just UGH I'm so lost.
┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈
The first-place team...getting a straight pass into is...
There is a brief moment of silence before confetti pops and the other teams begin to applaud. and cover their mouths in surprise, flaps his arms up and down, not knowing what to do with himself, as 's eyes fill up with unshed tears, too has seemingly frozen in shock.

(sighs) You all are very expressive.
┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈
When the atmosphere finally calmed a bit, addresses the beaming team.
Congratulations! Now, let's hear what the judges have to say about your performance!
The camera pans to the judges who are all smiling, proud of the young team.
I'm just going to say, I had your team ranked first in every single category. I'd like to praise you guys for understanding your strengths and exploiting them to the max in this mission.
Agreed, the choice of a rebellious schoolboy song definitely suited you guys as a whole and helped you stand out.
The difficulty level was also well matched, and you distributed parts in a way that allowed everyone to perform to their best. you showed a great improvement compared to your initial performance.
was also an incredible center, he shined in the position, I can see why he came first in the individual group ranking.
Congratulations once again, you may take your seats on the side.
The boys nod enthusiastically, patting each other on the back and whisper screaming as they stumble down the steps.
We're now down to second and third place, with only two more slots in major available. Judges, critiques?
Ahh yes, I'm not gonna lie, this was a really hard decision for us.
Indeed it was. Starting with team . I won't lie, I'm a little sad that you backed out of performing Yes, it would've been a risk, but your team is filled with strong dancers and I don't think gave you the opportunity to showcase that at all. It was a little boring, not exactly the level of stage presence I was hoping to see, even from your center who was a little blank-faced and blended in with the rest of you.

That being said, you showed a clean performance, with barely any visible mistakes. Your technique was solid, and the portrayals were very well thought out, there was a lot of brainpower in this.
On the other hand, team 's stage was messier. The dance was far too difficult for a team with no dance-focused trainees, and you took a gamble with it. While was certainly a charismatic center, he clearly had too much on his plate and wasn't able to pull off dancing center during the chorus as cleanly as a better-seasoned dancer would've.
Still, team was dynamic. There was fire, energy, and determination in the performance. I also think your team's stage outfits were perfection, props to whoever chose those. Team 's outfits confused me a bit, I don't understand why you went so edgy for such a smooth, elegant, and sophisticated song.
Your teams have nearly opposite criticisms, so it really just came down to what we as judges value in idols.
Thank you, judges! We'll first announce the third-place team, as the second-place team still needs to be split among and .
The team that came third, and that will all be going to is...

┊1ST PLACE:┊2ND PLACE:┊3RD PLACE:┊4TH PLACE:┊5TH PLACE:⌎┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
I'm sorry boys, you all performed really well, it really just came down to deciding which group better embodied 's values.
The boys nodded, taking the result in stride.
┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈
It really did come down to messy risk-taking vs organized simplicity I suppose, but I'm really proud of how my team performed!
Exactly, while it's a shame that we didn't place higher, I'm actually in awe that I ranked first in the voting...it's really uplifting to see that people think I've improved so much compared to the I was in the first mission.
While I'm glad that a lot of teammates are happy with the results, I can't help but feel that it's only because many of them were forced to have lower expectations after the first mission. I was at first, but now I'm ranked third in the last place group...I really feel like my position in has been jeopardized.
┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈
You may take your seats on the side.
The boys bow respectfully to the judges, before making their way down the opposite side of the stage from team with their heads held high.
And congratulations to second place...
⌌┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ .˚💥 ༘┊͙ :
┊1ST PLACE:┊2ND PLACE:┊3RD PLACE:┊4TH PLACE:┊5TH PLACE:⌎┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
In the end, your team took the plunge and went for a song that was going to be a challenge. Yes, it wasn't perfect, but we appreciate risk-taking and creativity in idols, and would prefer that you show 100% of what you can do and not be perfect, rather than giving just 70% of your effort in and getting a flawless performance. Hard work creates passion, and we saw that in your performance.
Now it's time to announce which two of these trainees will join team in , while the other three join team in .
While all of you did incredibly well, we felt that there were two trainees that really stepped up to the plate and showed a next level performance.
They grabbed the opportunity they had and ran with it, showing the audience that they're not to be ignored.
The lucky two are...
and , congratulations, you're in .
The boys cheered, happy for their teammates' achievements. gives an excited hug, while and give a congratulatory pat on the back.
┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈
Those two really deserved it. Not only were they team players, but they ate up the concept and left no crumbs. I honestly couldn't be more proud.
The two of them needed that extra boost, and I hope that the public recognizes our two japanese members more after that!
Even though I didn't make it to , I'm still proud of the progress our team made, and the fact that we pulled together to make such a great performance! Despite some bumps along the road, we still pulled it off!
┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈ ┈
and walk over to the side where they're greeted enthusiastically, while the other three members of their team make their way over to with smiling faces. All of the trainees look satisfied and proud of their team's performance, no matter the rank.
Congratulations to ALL of the trainees today, the performances were amazing!
Next week is the final episode of , where the final lineup of will be revealed! Please stay tuned, and remember, vote for your boy!

Braindead - A Zombie LitRPG
In a world where zombies are trash mobs that children kill for easy exp, what hope does one little zed have? Zed was minding his own business when his master's domain was invaded by a plucky young heroine looking to make a name for herself. An unlikely turn of events allowed Zed to come out on top, and gave him enough experience to rise above the life of a mindless minion. Unfortunately, it also left him with no body to share it with... literally, not figuratively! This story contains: Some 'jokes' containing questionable humour. An inhuman MC who has no interest in pesky things like romance or growing a conscience. Blue boxes, and a DnD style system messily mashed together with several other systems. Gore, but nothing too gratuitous. The main character is a severed head so what do you expect? Kingdom/base building, because what good is a zombie without a good horde behind them. Releases planned for each Sunday until I build up a decent backlog.
