《World Of Swords》107 : Fate

Xu Yue sat crosslegged as she looked at the cultivator before her with a small amount of pity in her eyes.
"Let's see if I can find one where he succeeds," mumbled Xu Yue as she began looking through Bei Kun's future, but as time passed, a frown appeared on Xu Yue's face.
Several days later,
"Something is very wrong," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at Bei Kun, before searching for someone with as close of circumstances to Bei Kun as possible.
Looking at the cultivators before her, Xu Yue's frown infinitely deepened as she looked through the other cultivator's futures.
Merely a few minutes later, she had managed to find a future where he succeeded in breaking through to the Soul Enlightenment realm, even though they were nearly the same, even down to their luck.
As she thought about this, a small obsession could be seen in Xu Yue's eyes.
"Can't I change even an ant's fate?" thought Xu Yue as she continued combing through different destinies at a fast pace.
Over ten years later,
Xu Yue let out a burst of maniacal laughter as she looked through another destiny.
Suddenly her perspective started going higher and higher.
Looking through the infinite numbers of futures leading to the same point, a singularity in fate, Bei Kun's death.
Completely uncaring about the mysterious aura around her, Xu Yue's hand reached for the singularity, her hand somehow gripping the singularity of fate, as the mysterious aura around her erupted, causing unknown changes.
As Xu Yue tried to crush the singularity, her hand merely passed through it, causing anger to appear on her face, the mysterious aura then began rapidly gathering around Xu Yue's hand.
Gripping the singularity once again, Xu Yue began squeezing it, causing cracks to appear on it's sides, as she began putting in more force, the entirety of Xu Yue's being seemed to be focused on the singularity.

"Annoying," mumbled Yue as she replaced Xu Yue in bearing the weight of the water from the river of fate.
As Xu Yue continued putting more and more force into her arm, the singularity suddenly snapped.
Even as her body suffered horrendous damage from the backlash, Xu Yue laughed as she looked at the countless futures before her.
She then took out several healing pills from her spatial ring before throwing them in her mouth.
As the dormant Bei Kun awakened, he looked around to see himself in his cave abode.
"What happened," mumbled Bei Kun as he slightly gazed at the sun, but as he did so, enlightenment filled his eyes, his cultivation beginning to grow once again.
Inside the Origin Sword Sect,
As she sat cross-legged with her eyes closed, a small smile could be seen on Xu Yue's face.
"Hello," said Xu Yue as she appeared at a table with her father and mother.
As soon as Xu Yue appeared at the table, a frown appeared on Wu Jing's face, it then being replaced by a confused expression as she looked at the two sets of memories in her mind.
"It's as if fate had been changed," mumbled Wu Jing, it seemed as if someone had changed fate, since it was fated that Xu Yue would be here at this moment, it seemed as if she had always been here.
"You have comprehended the Dao of Fate, am I right?" asked Wu Jing as she took a bite out of the meat.
"Yes," said Xu Yue as she patted Xu Ming on the head.
"Even if it's about such minor things, you shouldn't be so casual about changing fate," said Wu Jing as, slightly admonishing Xu Yue.
Right now, even Xu Chao who did not have his memories of the true fate realized what was happening.

Xu Ming disappeared from Xu Yue's lap, as she was still sleeping, then after a few moments, Xu Yue disappeared as well, returning to her cave abode as if nothing had happened.
Even though she could look at her own fate, Xu Yue was not anxious to do so, the first she did when returning to her cave abode was grab a normal mortal and bring him here.
"Let's see," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the mortal before beginning to play.
"You are dead"
"He died a few years ago," mumbled Xu Yue as she touched the skeleton in front of her.
"You are alive"
"What is th-,"
"Shut up," said Xu Yue, causing the mortal to have become mute from birth.
But even so, the mortal kept moving, causing Xu Yue to be slightly annoyed.
"You are a bug"
Xu Yue smiled as she looked at the tiny insignificant bug in front of her, she frowned for a bit before throwing back into the normal world.
"My understanding is still too low, he's only a mortal and it already drained me so much to transform him," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at her luck for a moment.
And as she did so, the somewhat cracked chains that restrained her luck were completely smashed to pieces, freeing her luck dragon.
At that moment, a transformation began taking place in the dragon, as countless mysterious scales began appearing around it's body, while it's size continued to increase.
Somewhere else,
Xu Lanfeng instantly opened her eyes before looking at Xu Yue's luck dragon.
"The Dao of Fate," mumbled Xu Lanfeng as she looked at the now-transformed dragon.
"Now I hopefully don't need to interfere," mumbled Xu Lanfeng as she closed her eyes once again, sinking into meditation.
In another location,
Ling Fan suddenly opened his eyes as the system's voice resounded in his mind.
"You need to leave the sword region faster," said the system, for the first time in Ling Fan's life, he had now heard the system be worried.
"Why?" asked Ling Fan as he woke his sister up from meditation before taking a flying treasure out of his spatial ring.
"Someone in this region has comprehended the Dao of Fate, you need to go as far away from them as you can," said the system as the two cultivators began flying.

Ode to Fallen Angels
Jericho, the land of humanity, squirms in pain. Magic has been forbidden for so long in this so called "Age of Silence", that all Arcane knowledge has been presumed lost and irrecoverable, and the echoes of God's Will grow fainter with every passing year. The sight of Demihuman caravans is less frequent every day, as the likes of orcs and elves have learned to no longer beg for help from those who despise them. Clearly, they can expect more from the voracious wild lands than from humankind. Many have succumbed to despair, some driven mad by their fruitless efforts to bring back a Golden Age that they only ever read about in books. And in the middle of it all, in an old chapel lost in the Eastern lands, young Gabrielle lives in complete ignorance. She is another orphan living under the mercy of the Church of the Saints; one bearing the mark of evil in her red hair, the telltale sign of a Witch. In an Age of the Silent, the Prejudiced, and the Hateful, she clings to a single hope: that one day, be it in life or maybe after it all ends, she may find herself forgiven of her sin. The sin of being born.
