A knife lives in my heart

Going deeper every time I try to speak

It hurts when I move, speak, cry

At this point I feel so weak

Eventually I got used to it

It became a part of my body

But it's going deeper, wanting to go all the way through

The pain is becoming unbearable

With the last of the strength that I have

I grab the handle and pull

After awhile it comes out

And my words spill out like blood

I said what I wanted to say

Felt what I had to feel

I've lived with all that pain

And now is my chance to heal
