《Judah Judas Adventures》Chapter 55 - Brothers Flint - Part 1

Later on this night, on our army were supposed to arrive in the enemy Kingdom, but after a misunderstanding and an unbalanced beating, Fiona has taken the title of being our General, and she has decided to try a different strategy because the enemy army has started to notice something was strange and send scouts to check on us.
When we have arrived at the base where we had installed, Fiona has given everyone new orders. She wanted to keep the ex-General captive because this one could leave and do a big fuss outside or even worse, he will go back to our Kingdom and wait for us to come there and he will cut our necks, and that includes the rest of our army we are in Moldova to conquer that land. Another order was given to a few warriors to go back to the base where our army is located and go there to gather some supplies like weapons, food, and knights if it is possible. Another order was given to a few powerful soldiers to protect this base and alert if the enemy will arrive here. And Fiona gave me an order, and that order was to go with Brothers Flint into the enemy territory and capture one of their Kingdom leaders, bring him to our base, and gathered some secret plans, information, or documents from him. And eventually, just steal some documents from their kingdom if the one we wanted to take it will be a hard job.
"You three will have to do this mission because if we gather the enemy information, our win could be guaranteed." says Fiona to us when we are in the kitchen of her "house" and discuss the mission.
"But our win is already guaranteed." told the first brother Flint to Fiona. "Don't you see how many good warriors we have here?"
" We indeed got warriors, but we have to take the enemy information and we cannot guarantee to risk luck... War is not fought like in a poker game, where you could raise and go all in. A war has to be played like a chess match and our match could be easy or hard, what is the most important thing to is to found the secret of our enemy. Also, isn't weird that even though our enemy knows we are here, why didn't they had launched an attack yet?"

"Probably they aren't ready?" asks the second Flint brother to Fiona.
"No, Lucian. Think about it." says the first Flint brother to his second, who apparently his name is Lucian. "That guy who was following us was a scout. If that guy was following us that means they are somehow ready."
"In plus, they were the ones who declare the war on us. They cannot declare war while they are weak because they know they could die if they even try to attack a piece of our homeland."
"I understand now." says Lucian to Fiona.
After a few minutes, the meeting has ended and all four of us were going to do our things. Brothers Flint were going to their "house" and start to prepare their weapons for the missions which will be in a few minutes because we have to arrive at the night there and the village is located almost eighteen kilometres from this area. To arrive there, we will use one of the carriages our base has acquired before we left the war area. Fiona was staying with me in the house and we discuss the strategy for the campaign we have to do in this area.
Before Fiona became General, this room where the kitchen was supposed to be, is now full of parchments that contain instructions about the enemy area placed on the table, maps that are attached to the wall of the room to help Fiona view the location of enemies and hers, a few boxes of magic items that are useless to her, but that I can use a few warriors, also brought Fiona some tobacco or that yellow drink called beer. Initially, Fiona turned down the offer, but those warriors, who had been slaves to the former General, insisted on giving them these useless things, and Fiona finally agreed to take them, but would not consume them, at least that's what she told me when I asked her what she wanted to do with these things.
"Are you really alright to lead the army as a General?"
"Yeah." says Fiona while she is looking at a piece of parchment. "Why are you asking?"
"You see... I never thought you could work on... you know... at a desk."
"Don't worry, Judah. It will not be for long." says Fiona rolling that piece of parchment and putting it aside then take another piece of parchment to analyse it. "Could you go to the Cafeteria area and bring me a wooden cup with coffee?"

"Of course." I say after I leave the building where Fiona and I are staying until we will finish this battle in Moldova.
I'm heading to the building where the Cantina is located and which used to be a house for a small family. When I enter this building, I see four people there, two are eating, and two other people, who are possibly cooks, are cleaning the vegetables for tonight's dinner. I go to the counter where the shimmering cooks are, I ask them if I can get a wooden cup of coffee for Fiona, and the cook, who is a woman, tells me that the coffee will be ready in about thirteen minutes. says to wait here because it will be ready immediately.
I decide to stay in this building called the canteen, I go to one of those long tables that are used and to the canteen at the base of the Royal Army where I was and I was fighting the Turks. I sit at one of those tables and wait a few minutes for your coffee to be ready. While I waited for that coffee to be ready and I could deliver it to Fiona, a warrior finished eating, he got up from the table, took his rusty sword, and headed for the exit of the Canteen, but when he walked he looked at me and he tells me.
"I wish Fiona success in her work on my part." and then he left the Canteen without even telling his name.
"That guy is Kars." says one of the chefs when he saw the guy with the rusty sword leaving his building.
"I see."
"Anyway, how does it feel?"
"About what?"
"The fact that your knight is working as a General. It must be tough for a warrior like Fiona to remain in her house and work on papers instead of using her giant sword and cutting the enemies one by one."
"Um... Is it a weird experience if I have to be honest. I have never imagined seeing Fiona working as a General or on something which involves papers and other things like that."
"You are her squire for how much?"
"Almost three months."
"So you are with her and knew a few things about her."
"Well... Kinda. She is mysterious, mean, and angry but I have started to understand her with time."
"I see. Well... The coffee is almost ready." says the chef leaving the discussion between him and me and going back to prepare the dinner for tonight. After a few more minutes, the chef brings me the coffee and I am delivering it to Fiona.
When I enter the building with the same cup of coffee I notice Fiona looking at one of the maps that are attached to the walls where the kitchen should have been but now it's the room where Fiona works. She looked at the map so closely that she did not notice that I entered the house, put her coffee on the desk, and left the house with the wand to the training place. If I have to go into battle, I'll have to train one of the spells I took from Emily's spell manual and try them somewhere, and the training place is the perfect one for those spells.
When I was going to that training place where I would try to use spells, I came across one of the Flint brothers, that brother is not Lucian but the other, the one who uses a sword, and he is supported by one of the pillars that support a lamp for to light the nights. That brother saw me going to the training ground and asks me if I can come with him there.
"Yes." I respond to him.
"Great. Oh... I think I have forgotten to introduce myself, after a long time we have seen each other. The name is Louis."
"My name is Judah. But you probably already know from Big Gus and Emily."
"Nice to meet you, Judah." says brother Flint whose name is Louis.
Both of us shook our hands and then we go to the training ground to start the training before we will go to the enemy area.

The Werewolf Cheerleader
Being a cheerleader is easier than being a werewolf. Jessica Tumbleleague is a typical teenage girl who loves being a cheerleader at Moondale High. But after an encounter with a werewolf in the woods, Jessica discovers a frightening world she never thought is real. Dangerous magic, deadly fierce spirits, and other malevolent creatures. Now Jessica must fight the forces of darkness to protect her hometown while balancing her supernatural life with her high school life. But can she control the beast within herself? Note: This is a rewrite of the original with the same name. I decided to change the third-person style to first-person because I liked Jessica's voice better. She is funny and very strong. With the story only focusing on her, I can keep the mystery suspenseful and the reader can experience what Jessica is experiencing. It is a typical YA style, but it is fun to write as your main character. There are changes, but the first and second books will be similar to the third-person chapters. Let me know what you think and I hope you will enjoy this new version of the Werewolf Cheerleader. I will post the chapters every Friday in the afternoon. P.S, there is a Werewolf Cheerleader short story published in the Tales of Dungeons, All Hallows book. Titled The Werewolf Cheerleader: Castle and Ghouls. The short is also in first-person, which made me decide to change the book series into first-person. The link is below if you want to check it out. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08MCS82R5
