《Cherry Cola》XXXIX. Go Straight To Hell

Nobody gives a damn about who you were talking to, the important part is the fact you don't talk to her like that again.

"Prom is this week, it's on Friday. Should we go to the hair and nail salon on Thursday?"

Xiomara asked Delilah and I as we walked into the school together, we both agreed to that since we were excited for it.

I was no longer nervous about graduating nor was I scared either, I was actually excited and happy since that meant I didn't need to see any of these people.

As we walked inside, there was a slight breeze which made us shiver a bit.

When we got inside of the cafeteria, Jaden and Javon were speaking to each other before they smiled our way.

"I, forgot she existed.."

Delilah muttered as she looked over at the doors, I looked over and glared at Layla.

I didn't care that she goes to this school but I didn't like it when she would come up to me personally, if I'm being honest, I did miss having her as a friend but I didn't care either.

Although I'm not even planning on becoming her friend again, I learned my lesson the last time so I wouldn't be able to even look her way pleasantly.

Jaden grabbed my hand and kissed my cheek as the bell rang, I got up and grabbed my lunch before disappearing from the cafeteria.

When I walked to my homeroom, I looked through my phone because I was bored and class doesn't start until ten minutes from now.

Xiomara and Delilah sat beside me as we began to watch some cringe TikToks, then the bell rang.

"See y'all at lunch, pray for me girls. I have a History exam that I didn't even study for!"

Delilah shouted as she walked out of the classroom, I laughed at the sentence and then hugged Xiomara before walking out of the classroom.

I had Chemistry first period which was always my favorite since I was the favorite student in the class, although I didn't like favouritism, it just meant I was able to get more help from the teacher.

"Alright, no homework today. Enjoy your lunch!"

My algebra teacher exclaimed, she was always a sweetheart no matter what and that's what made her my favorite teacher.

I walked out of the classroom and began to walk to the cafeteria, Delilah met me half way which made the walk less boring.

As we walked inside, there was a small group of people surrounding something but I pushed it away and walked with Delilah to our normal table.

"Where's Xiomara?"

Delilah finally asked as Javon, Jaysean and Jaden walked to our table and sat down next to us.

I honestly didn't know where she was, I just looked at her and shrugged my shoulders but when I looked back, the circle was a little bit more bigger.

I got up from my seat and walked over to the circle but with a lot of people moving and pushing around, I just tried listening into the conversation.

"Well at least my dad didn't go to jail!"

That voice, I knew that voice anywhere and I knew it better than anyone.

I pushed and shoved people out of the way and got into the center of the circle, Xiomara and Layla stood in front of one another and we're having a basic screaming match.

"Who the hell do you think you are talking to her like?!"

I shouted as I grabbed Xiomara's arm and pulled her closer to me, I looked at her with such a disgusted look.

I honestly don't care who started it but Layla is known for using your vulnerability against you and I'm not standing for it, I glared at Layla as she stumbled over her own words.

"I wasn't even talking to you alright?"

Layla spoke out with a tone, I crossed my arms and looked at her with a mother look.

Nobody gives a damn about who you were talking to, the important part is the fact you don't talk to her like that again.

Jaysean butted in as he shoved some people out of his way, I smiled at him as he wrapped his arm around Xiomara.

Jaden was now making his way to the center of the circle with Javon and Delilah trailing behind him, Layla stammered but I didn't care.

"You're dad was a damn druggie Layla! HE OVERDOSED FOR CRYING OUT LOUD."

Those words weren't meant to come out at all, I watched as Layla's eyes began to water and I accidentally began to smile.

It felt good to finally bring out her problems the same way she did to me, Layla looked at me and in a quick second, a stinging sensation was starting to burn on my cheek.

"Did this she just, DID SHE JUST HIT ME?!"

Now my blood was boiling even worse, I clenched my fists and with out a second to lose, I punched her.

The impact was hard enough to hear how loud it was, when she stumbled back, I decided to make my move.

Jaden however, had other plans as he wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted me from the ground.

I squirmed and flailed my arms and legs as I screamed to let go but he didn't, instead he carried me out and walked to the locker room where we stood until my mom and dad showed up.

"Handle it outside of school."

Alana told me as we walked to the car, I looked at her confused but a smile began to appear on my lips.

Everyone whose ever came into contact with Alana knew she was a lover not a fighter but when it comes to her kids or my dad, she'll set everything in sight on fire just to protect us.

"Saturday, you're gonna settle this and nobody's gonna stop nor is anyone going to help you. Do you understand?"

Alana asked as we got into the car and put our seatbelts on, I didn't reply to her but I did nod at her to let her know I understand.

She smiled at me and kissed my forehead before driving home.

Oh how I can't wait for Saturday to arrive.

Watch your back Layla..
