《Tragedy (Tim Drake x Reader)》Chapter 10

As soon as Y/N leaves I'm left to deal with all the stares "so future Mrs. Drake's nickname for you is Timbit" my eyes widen a blush rises from Alfred's comment "what's wrong with her nickname, it's adorable". I hear Jason chuckle "pretty sure you called Y/N adorable not the nickname" Dick spoke next "and you didn't deny her being your future wife" I shake my head at their antics "what happened with Y/N Tim" I turn to Kate and look away again "nothing".
I still felt everyone's gaze so I sighed "what" Kate looked at me with a serious look "I have a question for you" I nod "Y/N..or Cassie" my head snaps to her. "What's that supposed to mean" I look around at everyone "what is going on here" Jason sighs "Tim you are friends with Cassie even though she's a wolf in sheep's clothing, Y/N actually cares about you but you let Cassie drag you into her grasp at the party" I nod and look away "who would you choose".
I keep my head down and think of my good times with Cassie but then my good times with Y/N. Y/N has only been in my life for so long meanwhile Cassie has been with me for years now. The difference between them is in such a little time Y/N has been an amazing experience, she's a very strong girl who should get to have someone by her side to support her. Even though she doesn't need it, Cassie was fun..for a while anyway.
When I first meet Cassie I was 14 and in a matter of a few days I had a crush on her, she was strong, smart, and pretty but she never really noticed me for the longest. Then we became friends and everything was great, I spent those years hoping maybe she would like me back but it never happened. Then Y/N came crashing into my life and... she's strong in a different way, smart in so many aspects, and...absolutely gorgeous even if she doesn't see it herself.
The best thing about it is she gives me a lot of her attention and we can chat or sit in silence without it being awkward, and I love being a protector to her so she can not worry about anyone at school...
When Y/N is around it's almost like I completely forget I ever had a crush on Cassie. "Tim" I look towards Kate and then still see everyone staring at me "we are not trying to force you into anything, we just really want you to see what kind of person Cassie is before you get hurt...and before you hurt Y/N" I glare at her "I would never hurt Y/N".

I see a small smirk come to her face "defensive...shes hurt by Cassie Tim she may have let you guys go and been polite but..." Jason takes over "she's been weird ever since Cassie stepped into the picture and can't you see Cassie has not even tried to be polite to Y/N, despite Y/N trying so hard to be nice to her just to make you happy".
I shake my head at the thought of Y/N trying to be nice to someone she might not like very much just to make me happy "what did Cassie say about her" Kate and Jason turned to look at each other before explaining some things that happened after I came back to Y/N side at the party last night. Everything they said made me feel even guiltier for ever leaving Y/N's side in the first place.
"So Tim...Y/N or Cassie" I sigh "Cassie was the first girl I ever liked" Alfred took this chance to input his thoughts "is she who you think about when you think of a relationship or dates, or who you worry about constantly and are always trying to be around" I blush thinking of Y/N and me together as a couple. We already act like it in a certain way which I love about our relationship and I guess it sucks that all I get right now is cheek kisses without being able to return them all the time. I freeze thinking about her with the light pecks on the cheek before returning back to the conversation.
"I-I mean me and Y/N already-" Kate scoffs before finishing my sentence "act like a couple, yes we know" my head snaps to her "is it really that obvious" she shakes he head sighing so Dick jumps into the conversation here "Tim all you want is to protect her and be close to her. On the day we brought her home from our outing your first move was to go to her and wrap your arms around her like a magnet conning to a fridge" I blush at the memory.
I nod "she's just...hard not to be close to and we have a good time together despite maybe only knowing her for close to a month, it feels like there's not enough time to spend with her".
It was silent for a while before Alfred broke the silence "then, there is your answer" I looked up to him "do you feel those same emotions with Cassie" I shrug "maybe when we first met but not anymore".
"So will you tell us what Alfred knows that we don't" I glare at Kate "they kissed", We all turned to Bruce "YOU KISSED HER AND DIDNT TELL US" I leaned back from Kates's yelling "I didn't kiss her calm down". Dick spoke up now while uncovering his ears from Kate yelling "so she kissed you...Y/N?" I blushed and looked away from them "it was a quick kiss on the cheek ok we haven't really kissed so far".

Jason had a smirk on his face "so far huh, so there is a future kiss that's going to happen" I shrug "I would like there to be I mean she is gorgeous and the sweetest yet quietest girl ever she-" I stop mid-sentence "I-I like Y/N".
"G/N" he smiled at me "I was hoping I would get to see you again, I was upset I forgot to get your number at the party" I smiled "I was thinking the same thing actually". He chuckled "so what are you doing here in the library" I shrugged "my sister works here" he looked around making me chuckle "you can't see her from back here" a small blush grew on his cheeks as he rubbed the back of his head "right I should have guessed that" I shook my head "so what brings you here, I doubt you sensed me". He laughed "do I look like I have super abilities" I looked over at him and hummed "anything is possible" we both were silent before laughing.
Me and G/N talked for a little while and then read for a good majority of our time together. We were in the middle of one of my favorite books before he set down his copy making me look at him "what's wrong, do you not like it" he shook his head "no it's pretty good so far but I have a question for you" I nod also setting down my book "did your date stay with you after I left" I blushed and looked away.
"Why does it matter", "I just want to make sure you didn't go back to just walking around that party, you don't deserve that" I turn back to him with a small smile "thank you...and yes he did stay with me the rest of the night". G/N nodded with a smile on his face as well "did you have a good time then" I nod while tracing lines on the table we were sitting at "the night ended very well".
"Well, that's good to hear, next time I hope your date stays with you the whole time. Although I did enjoy my time with you" I smiled "so did I" G/N went silent before speaking again "I have some news which is what I have been meaning to tell you this whole time" I looked at him confused "no need to be nervous, I promise you" he nodded but still looked a little hesitant "I found out I am going-".
"Y/N" I turn to see my sister with a little shocked look on her face "is this the boy from the party" I nodded making her look at him "nice to meet you, you are?" S/N smiled "I am Y/N's sister, nice to properly meet you as well. Thank you for comforting my sister that night" I looked back between the two 'seems like she is ok with G/N, that's good'.
"Y/N I came to tell you that I'm done for the night and we can go home" I got up and gathered my books so I could put them away "I have to go now G/N, it was nice to see you again" I started walking to where my books rightful places were and I heard footsteps after me "can we at least exchange numbers" I turn to find G/N behind me with the books he took out to read with me. I stared at him "you-you want my number" he nodded "you're an easy person to talk to if I'm being honest".
I bite my lip before nodding and handing him my phone and putting away the fantasy book I took out. I empty my arms of books and take G/N's as well which he thanked me for while creating his contact in my phone, he finally handed my phone back to me when he was done.
I looked at his contact name and laughed "you really named yourself third wheel" he shrugged while chuckling "I mean I did sneak in on a couple torn apart at the moment but you guys are back to normal so" I shook my head with a smile "goodbye G/N" he waved "I'll text you later Y/N".
Me and S/N made it back home a little bit past 5 and as soon as we walked in the door S/N got started on dinner and her interrogation "so G/N" I turned to her "what about him" she looked at me "he asked for your number" I nodded once more "what about Tim, you still like him right" I look at her shocked "no one will ever replace him, G/N is just a good friend" she nodded "why does it matter do you have my fate sealed with Tim" she turned to me with a smirk on her face "do you have your fate sealed with Tim".
I blushed "I-I he's...I don't want anyone else right now" I heard S/N chuckle "thought so, dinner will be ready in another half an hour". When S/N got back to chopping some vegetables my phone dinged from the table, I looked to see it was from G/N aka third wheel in my phone

... And My Skillet
A long time ago, a child was born under the great blue sky. Many a Dwarf grumbled at the auspicious event, tugging furtively at their beards at this ill omen. A year later as the expedition had begun digging into the virgin hills of their new home, the grumbling of the doughty mountain people rose to a disbelieving furor when the yearling passed over the ritual offerings that would determine his lot in life. Instead, the as of yet unnamed child crawled over to a skillet fresh out of the fire and begun picking at the rock bread, unconcerned with the heat. Shouts turned into laughter, frowns lifted into craggy smiles. Upon placing a handful of the bread into his mouth, the infant’s face grew so grim and stony not even the eldest of the present Dwarves could match him. There was a durable ore within this babe, of that the Lore Keeper was sure. Yumly Ironhand was thus named, the beginning of his great tale immortalized on the rune walls of his clan’s history. “It’s pronounced Yoom Lee and no, rock bread isn’t a misnomer.”

Steps of the Immortal Tree
Evan stood on a hill, staring calmly at the gate of his former clan. A crowd waited behind him, some eyeing the clan in an unresigned manner, others looking at their spiritual support. Some of the young children shivered at the gnawing cold. Wind howled in his ears, seemingly deploring his fate. A silvery cloud drifted over the mountains surrounding the compound. The roar of a river could be heard from underneath its frozen surface. He had reincarnated many years ago. Hailed as a prodigy from his youngest age, Evan had seemingly tread on a path to invincibility. He had gotten married with his childhood sweetheart and had cultivated with a group of friends, forming a considerable power of his own. Yet now, here he was, devoid of any path to move forward, with his energy locus destroyed. His wife was dead and his branch had been kicked out of the clan. He looked at his progeny that had been entrusted to him. The baby seemed content in his father’s strong arms, too young to understand anything but the warmth of the father’s beating heart. Signaling to the people behind him, he turned around and the procession gradually disappeared in the distance, as the sun gradually set and the stars acted as a guide. --- Author-san here.
