《Hey Pretty Stranger Sal Fisher x reader x Larry Johnson》Chapter 30 - Back At Square 1.

You woke up the next day inside Larry's bedroom. You glanced around the room, happy the night before wasn't just a dream. Hard rock posters and records were hung up on the walls, his bed was quite small considering it was just a twin bed but luckily it fit you and Larry. His cloths were randomly thrown on the floor, a single worn out brown bean bag chair was laying on the floor as well, along with a small book shelf, a lamp sitting on top of said book shelf, a TV, an easel, and a stereo to play whatever hard rock song he wanted from his large collection.

Sal had said goodnight to you before he went back upstairs to his bedroom because there wasn't enough room for him to cuddle you as well, not to mention his dad might get worried when he finds out he wasn't there.

Larry had his arms wrapped around your shoulder as your face was buried in his chest. It took you quite awhile to fall asleep last night, but something about having Larry there beside you made you feel safe. And with him cuddling you, it made you feel that much more at home.

Larry was still sleeping, so, you decided to just stay is his arms as to not awake him from his slumber. You tried to fall back asleep but couldn't, there was a subtle feeling of guilt eating away at you, not allowing you to get a single moment of peace.

You shouldn't feel guilty about leaving but you couldn't help it. You had left your mom all by herself back there and who knows how worried she might be when she finds you aren't in your room. You felt bad about leaving her, but, it was what had to be done...right? I mean, if I stayed there any longer I probably would have gone insane and become depressed from the isolation.

Still, guilt was very present in your heart. It wasn't your mothers fault this was all happening, sure she could have tried to do something, but knowing your father he probably terrified your mother into doing nothing to help you.

Maybe I should go back? No. It would only get me in trouble.

But if I don't, she could be in trouble.

If something happens to her because I didn't go back, it would be all my fault, I would never be able to forgive myself. I couldn't let her get hurt for my own selfish reasons. But what am I do to? Sal and Larry won't let me out of there sight after what happened - so with them watching me like a hawk I wouldn't be able to sneak away to help my mother. They would catch me and they would never let me go back, so what do I do?

I need to come up with a plan or something. Or maybe I should just forget about this whole thing and stay where I'm safe. God, I don't know.

I was pushed out of my thoughts when I heard Larry groan, my gaze drifts up to his face and his eyes flutter open. He looks down at me, meeting E/C my eyes with his brown ones, then smiles.

"Good morning,"

Larry says, his morning voice was so much deeper and raspier than his usual tone.

I felt my face heat up slightly at Larry's voice and bury my face into his chest to hide it.

"Morning,"

Larry deeply chuckles as I do so and pets my hair.

"How you holdin' up, princess?"

Larry asks softly.

I smile at his concern for my well being and wrap my arms around his waist.

"I'm doing okay, surprisingly,"

I reply, my voice muffled slightly by it being pushed against Larry's body.

"That's good. You hungry?"

Larry asks.

I look up at him and see a big smile apparent on his face. I think for a moment before nodding.

"Mhm,"

I mumble then stuff my face back in his chest.

"Well we gotta get up if you want breakfast,"

Larry laughs.

"I'm too lazy,"

I say blandly before squeaking as Larry sits up and picks me up into his arms.

My legs instinctively wrapped around his waist and my arms draped around his neck. Larry held me up with his hands on the back of my thighs, carrying me towards the kitchen.

I rest my head on his shoulder for a moment before he gently sits me onto the kitchen counter. Larry then went around the kitchen gathering things to make breakfast for the two of us.

"Does bacon, eggs, and pancakes sound good?"

Larry asks, poking his head around the fridge door to look at me.

I nod with a hum in agreement. He smiles then turns back to the fridge and grabs everything else he needed.

He walks back over to me and kisses my forehead before grabbing and opening the package of bacon. Larry turns on the stove and waited for a moment to make sure the pan was nice and hot before placing the bacon in it.

He washes the raw meet off his hands before drying them and throwing the rag over his shoulder. Larry got started on the pancake batter while I just watched him work away, I felt like I should ask if I could help with anything, but I was enjoying the view. Larry wearing only grey sweatpants with his hair in a slightly messy ponytail - I have never been so attracted to a shirtless man before.

As I was staring intently at Larry he turned around and saw me before I could look away. My face flushed in embarrassment from being caught and turned my head away from him. Larry smirked and walked over to me.

"You like what you see, princess?"

Larry teases, causing my face to flush even more.

"I don't know what y-you're talking about,"

I lie, still not meeting his gaze.

Larry chuckles and grips my chin lightly, forcing my eyes to meet his. He leans closer to me as he speaks up again,

"You sure about that? Because I can swear I just saw you gawking at me from the sidelines."

I didn't say anything and struggled to keep my gaze. I wanted to look away so bad from the amount of embarrassment I was feeling in that moment. Larry laughs at my red face, before kissing my head and turning back to the stove.

"Don't worry, princess, I've been sneaking glances at you too,"

Larry looks me up and down with a smirk.

I look down and notice I'm wearing Larry's 'Sanity Falls' shirt and a pair of old shorts he had loaned me. His shirt was big on me and covered the shorts, creating the illusion that I wasn't wearing anything underneath.

My eyes widen and I shrink into myself slightly. A blushing and stuttering mess.

"Hush u-up."

I manage to say.

Larry laughs and places paper towel over a plate, then placing the perfectly cooked bacon on top of it. As Larry starts on the pancakes I hear a loud knock being delivered onto Larry's front door.

"That's probably Sal. Would you mind opening the door for him, Y/N?"

Larry asks.

"Mhm,"

I nod and hop off the counter.

I walk to the front door with a slight pace in my step so I don't leave Sal standing out there too long. I open the door with a smile but it quickly fades as I see who it really was.

I gulp and my eyes widen, I quickly go to slam the door but a hand stops me from doing so. Their strength was much more compared to mine. They easily opened the door and I fell back onto my butt. I tried to scream for Larry to help but their hand covers my mouth before a single noise could leave and begins dragging me out of Larry's apartment, my muffled cries were all I could hear before everything went black.

The last thing I heard was them whispering in my ear.

"You didn't really think you could get away from me for long, did you? Daughter."
