"I agree, Mr. L/N. I am just as worried as you probably are right now,"

A teenage boy speaks into a landline.

"Those two misfits are nothing but bad news, who knows what they will turn Y/N into."

A different male voice was slightly raising his tone on the other line, his voice was deep and stern - belonging to the one person you were trying to avoid.

"You said they went into a janitors closet together, correct?"

Mr. L/N questions, making sure he had heard the boy correctly.

The teenager nods even though your father couldn't see him do so.

"Yes sir,"

The boy confirms.

Your father lets out a very irritated and furious sigh.

"I'll be sure she understands just how much trouble she is in once she gets home...thank you, Travis."

There you laid, upon your bed trembling and sobbing your heart out. Your body covered in small and big bruises all over your arms, legs, stomach, and your back. Earlier, you had came home to a little 'surprise' from your father.

Somehow, he had found out you were talking to Sal and Larry at school today. Someone had seen you three together and had snitched on you to your father. You knew this would happen, you should have just ignored them. But something in you just wouldn't let you ignore them, a huge part of you wanted to talk to them, hug them, kiss them...you missed them a great deal. Now you were left to deal with the consequences of your actions.

Your father had yelled a great deal at you, not only did he do that, but he also had pulled out his belt...I assume you can figure out the rest.

Your hair was messy and your clothes were disheveled. You were locked back in your room and you weren't allowed to leave your room at all anymore. Except to go to the bathroom, but that was it. Your only view to the outside world being your window now.

Your mother wasn't at home most of the time, understandably so. If you could, you would stay out of this house for as long as you possibly could.

Your father and mother were currently sleeping, it had to be around midnight now.

You were still up, your mind was racing too much to let you sleep. As you were laying in your bed you suddenly heard soft taps on your window. You ignored it for a minute, assuming it was just a bird or something, until they continued to happen and you heard a muffled voice.

You glanced up finally and saw a familiar face staring at you through your window. You gasped and jumped up out of your bed.

"Sal!"

You muttered under your breath as you unlocked and opened your window. Sal smiled at you as he sat on your window sill.

"What are you doing here? You can't be here,"

Sal chuckled. He was so happy to hear your voice again, even if it was you nagging him.

"Escape now, talk later."

You raised an eyebrow.

"Excuse me? Sal, I can't just leave,"

"Sure you can, now come on, Larry's waiting for us."

Sal says, brushing off your questions.

"Larry's here too?"

You asked, excitedly.

"Yup, who else do you think is holding the ladder up?"

Sal responds with a grin.

You looked behind Sal and saw probably the longest ladder you've ever seen leaning up against the building and saw Larry at the bottom holding it steady.

You shouldn't be doing this, let alone feeling like you should do this. You sighed and nodded.

"Okay, lets go, quickly."

Sal smiled then gripped your waist and helped you through your window. Sal descended the ladder and you followed above him.

Once the two of you finally reached the ground Larry walked up and the two boys tackled you in a hug. You almost lost your balance but quickly caught yourself before you could fall.

You hugged them back as tightly as you could without hurting yourself and took a deep breath. You were so happy in that moment, everything felt calm and you felt all your worries wash away.

After a minute or two you all reluctantly let go of each other.

Before anyone could say anything you jumped in and began apologising.

"I'm so sorry. I never meant for things to go this way, I'm sorry for dragging you two into this. I also am sorry for saying what I did earlier today, I shouldn't have said any of it and I did mean a single word. I just didn't want either of you to get involved in my crazy whirlpool of a life."

Larry immediately shook his head in disagreement.

"No. Y/N, we're sorry. We were too selfish to realise sooner that you were only trying to keep us safe."

Sal nodded in agreement to Larry's apology.

"And we're sorry for not helping you when you needed us to the most,"

"No, don't apologise please...it isn't either of your faults."

You said.

"It isn't your fault either Y/N-"

Larry began only, you cut him off before he could finish.

"Yes, yes it is. And don't you dare say it isn't. I brought you both into this and I said horrible things, I didn't need to say any of that just to keep you safe. But at the time, I figured if I could hurt you both enough you'd stay away from me - that way I couldn't pull you into this mess any more."

You said sincerely.

The two boys just smiled and pulled you into another hug.

"Y/N, we are in this together - always. You don't need to worry about keeping us safe, if anything is going on in your life you can tell us. We will help you get through it, together. Especially when it comes to stuff like this,"

Sal said.

You smiled, but then hissed in discomfort as their grip tightened. Sal heard you and pulled away, Larry following Sal's actions.

The moonlight shone on your body, allowing Sal to see the bruises along your arms. His soft eyes immediately hardened and a very harsh glare was present in them.

"What happened to you?"

Sal asked with worry in his tone, but his voice was still firm. Seeing those bruises on you made him want to bury who ever had done this alive.

You gave him a confused look, not catching on.

"What do you mean, Sal?"

He walked closer and gently lifted your arm, careful not to touch any of the bruises along it.

"This. Who did this to you, Y/N?"

Sal stares into your eyes intensely.

"Did your dad do this?"

You looked away from Sal, giving him his answer already, but he wanted to make sure he knew exactly who had done this. So, he cupped your face and made you look at him.

"Y/N, please...tell me - did he do this to you?"

Sal asks softly.

You stare at Sal then nod slowly. Sal sighed sadly.

"Alright, lets just get you to Larry's apartment,"

Larry wraps his arms around your shoulders and guided you towards the apartments front doors, while Sal began putting the ladder away.

"Come on, princess - I bet your tired,"

Larry softly whispers into your ear.

You hummed in agreement with nod and leaned your head against his shoulder while you both walked inside the tall building.
