I could feel how close

my demise is getting

and that thought alone

is enough to engross me

As years go by,

I see it clear,

and death draws near.

I long to know,

to understand

The meaning of life,

its grander plan.

But as I age,

I realize,

There's still so much

I don't surmise.

despite my fear and doubt,

My love for you

still shines throughout.
