《Transmigrated into a Noble's beaten son》Chapter 29

'What a ridiculous bunch...' Thought Suna, as he smirked at the trio's overwhelming skills.

It was their first physical and aura assessment as students under Professor Suna.

Rinca's precise control over her aura and her elegant movements that could be enunciated as dancing, made the onlookers admire the so-called "duchess of ice" even more.

Not to mention, both Andrew and Namiku's overpowering aura were enough to leave anyone in awe, as they easily obliterated things from the assessment.

Considering their growing fanbase, many were watching under their classroom including the jealous Note Raal.

"He’s getting all the girls Riz!"

"..."

Yet again, Rizaul couldn't care less about the nonsense his taffy-haired friend was spouting. That's why Note Raal became more jealous and furious at the sight of the half-elf’s indifferent reaction.

"Ughhh..."

From a short distance, a different class had begun preparing for their own assessment. Yet as they were closer to the impressive display, they were not able to avoid staring at all the jaw-dropping skills happening near them.

"Goodness, we once again have an unbelievable batch... I sure hope my students are up for it." Teased Mony, who a while ago was admittedly shocked, yet still felt pride in knowing her students were also far from being normal.

She had even noticed earlier how a few of her students’ competitive sides were showing, for they were noticeably pumped-up from the trio's spectacular display.

Still, most just chatted amongst themselves while admiring the three, and this was the case for Viola who looked happy just seeing them.

"You have strong friends, Miss Viola." said the cheerful pink haired Marcha, who Viola thought resembled both Rinca and Namiku.

"I better not slack off then!" Said Viola pridefully with a puff.

The lady giggled, as Viola was often quiet on most occasions, but was always very passionate at the mention of her friends. Even her other classmates began teasing her a bit, causing her to cry out shyly,

"Don't laugh at me guys, Miss Marcha..."

"Hehehe… Well, I'm all pumped out now!" Replied Marcha Kale whose eyes burned with passion.

Marcha Kale and Viola happened to become friends as they were seated next to each other. Her bubbly personality made it so that even the shy violet-haired Viola would open up to her.

As they all fooled around, each of them then sensed the mana of two approaching students, both of whom had faces they were not familiar with.

Viola froze up as she turned to see one of them. She knew of the mysterious gentleman that was bowing in front of their teacher. His appearance might have changed, but as someone from Beryldot, she would not easily forget who that person was.

'Young master Naell...'

Professor Mony was happy to see both of them present for the assessment. She then spoke with a slight mockery in her tone,

"And here I thought both of you weren't interested anymore."

"You know how busy I am, Mon--- professor." Said the lady who looked as secluded as her demeanor dictated. Her uninterested orange eyes appeared to be idling with other thoughts.

"Even if you are busy, April, you should still come and study." Said Mony whose ears slightly pricked from almost hearing her name.

"I will try."

Yet Mony knew April's words were empty, as even her face seemed insipid.

"Good morning professor."

Still, the professor could only hide her irritation with a smile, as Naell with his simple greeting was greatly lacking compared to April.

Even April could not help but smile wickedly. She was confident that her greeting was far better than the guy who clearly did not even care to listen to the professor.

Mony could only accept the two monkish mages in front of her, as the school’s policy had no qualms with their lacking presence.

Little did they know, Naell was afraid, as upon arriving, he had seen the people he wished to avoid most. With his mind occupied with thoughts of fear, he couldn’t help but give off a half-assed greeting.

• Why do you look paler all of a sudden? HOOT •

Owly asked telepathically, as he flew beside the professor, giving her Deja Vu as she eyed the fat-winged lump who sat next to her.

'Inner peace.' Naell thought as he begrudgingly spotted the trio, all of which were trying to peek awkwardly as Namiku's and Rinca's faces clearly held concern towards Viola.

Had it not been for the people around him, Naell would have surely attempted to harness the flow of the universe.

The only consolation he had in his mind was the fact that the protagonist and his friends were not vicious to attack someone without reason, even if they solely hated his guts.

Still, he did not dare to get anywhere near Viola and had even made sure he was keeping a safe distance, for in his mind, he knew that the further he was, the better.

• I'm not scared, what are you talking about? •

•What are you talking about, HOOT?•

"..."

Naell's refute only made Owly feel sympathetic. He knew that the young master of Beryldot often answered questions inanely when he was either deep in thought or overthinking.

Before Naell could even reply, Mony then began explaining the activities they would be doing that day.

"As students, it is a requirement for you to attend physical education. Admittedly martial artists have a more difficult assessment, but still you must participate..."

She then smiled, and with a mildly higher voice that had a hint of excitement, she said,

"As mages, you will be assessed through your mana's capabilities. And so, without any further ado, let us now proceed, shall we?"

If Andrew’s class’ physical assessment was considered jaw-dropping, put in the same assessment, mages would be mediocre at best. Without their magic, most mages and their strength was only average in the least, yet there were exceptions, one of these being the young master of Star, Lesjon.

Unlike other mages who were agile but lacked stamina, Lesjon was able to even outperform some martial artists including his own peers. Even both professors, Mony and the nearby Suna, were once marvelled by his talent.

'Magic knights really are something.' Naell thought in amusement while trying to catch his breath.

He had done his physical assessment as well, yet it was mediocre at best. Still, some found themselves jealous of the young master, as thanks to his elemental magic of ice, not a single drop of sweat had left Naell.

Though occupied with his thoughts, Naell felt the gazes of the others, Lesjon being one of them. It was at that moment, Naell realized it was his first time seeing someone who had the same eye-color he possessed.

That was also the time when he understood how villainous it looked to have bloody bright jewel-like eyes.

Which was why he felt camaraderie towards Lesjon. From one set of menacing eyes to another, Naell for the first in his life in Mundo was not frightened by someone’s gaze.

Yet unlike him, Lesjon's hair was rich black, the complete opposite of Naell’s translucent white hair. That made the dark haired mage’s appearance warmer and more human-like.

As a member of the Star family, one of the protectors of the Autumn Kingdom, Lesjon, even with his intimidating looks, was known for his kindness. Much different from Naell who was known for his lousy reputation.

Naell of course, also knew who he was. He recalled how Lesjon Star was a minor character in the novel, but unlike the old Naell who was a villain, Lesjon was a mysterious character that often helped Andrew.

Going back, as the students finished their physical assessment, they then proceeded and the magic assessment began.

The professor started off by separating their class into two, choosing one student to face her in a friendly match for demonstration.

Mony really wanted to pick April as her opponent in an attempt to lecture her on her attitude, but she knew regardless of the outcome, the place would be destroyed as neither of them would be willing to back down even in a friendly bout.

On command, the student began to fire a succession of large earth stones, all within a quick and aggressive motion, yet Mony countered by using her water magic as a shield.

The student then smiled and burst the earth stone, revealing smaller but sturdier shards of explosive earth magic, yet before it could even fully obliterate and separate the water shield, Mony's magic then fluidly absorbed the remnants of the bursting earth, sending it back to the student as a mud-like ball.

It then hit the mana shield of the student who was dumbstruck from the exchange, before Mony, dissipated her magic.

"You must never get complacent in a duel, for that will cost you your life." Mony's words were warm, but her voice was openly mocking the student who had the nerve to smile in front of her.

She then added on with a smile, scaring the student further,

"Now as you all see, the rules are simple. Maintain your mana shield, have an exchange, and whoever hits the opponent's mana shield first, will win."
