《Heart in the Sky (Io Shirai x OC)》Chapter 19: New Apartment

Io has messaged Ilyas about any vacant units at her apartment building, and good news for the Descendant, there is a empty unit across from her unit. Ilyas smiled and has packed his stuff in advance. He didn't tell the Joshi Judas of his plans as he wanted to keep it a surprise.
Ilyas got all of his stuff packed into his car and locked the door of his old apartment for the last time. He then gave the key to his landlord and drove off to the new apartment complex. He parked in front of the building and unload all of his belongings from his car as he met with his new landlord.
After signing the agreement and went ahead to pay his first month's rent, Ilyas rode the elevator with his stuff until it stopped on his floor.
Ilyas: okay, landlord said room 316... ah right here
The Descendant unlocked the door and walked in to see and was immediately impressed of the size and cleanliness of the room. Room 316 was slightly bigger than his old apartment and the view was clear.
While Ilyas unloaded his stuff, Io heard the commotion.
Io: Kairi-san, we have a new neighbor moving in across from us
Kairi: really? Let's go meet them
Io: hai, let's go
The two Japanese Superstars went to meet the new neighbor, and to the surprise of Kairi, but especially Io, their new neighbor was none other than Ilyas himself.
Io: Ilyas-kun?!
Ilyas smiled as he turned around to see his girlfriend.
Ilyas: surprise babe!
Io: nani? Are you moving in?
Ilyas: hai, I moved out earlier and I already paid my first month in advance, and now I live here
Io couldn't help but to smile and give her boyfriend a big loving hug, wrapping herself around Ilyas in the process.
Io: this is the best surprise ever!
Ilyas smiled and kissed his girlfriend with love while Kairi melted and smiled from the sight.
Ilyas: I have some more stuff to unload and organize, babe
Io: oh, Kairi-san and I can help
Kairi smiled and nodded.

Kairi: hai!
Ilyas: oh okay, arigato
The two girls proceeded to help Ilyas unload and organize his stuff in the apartment.
Io: my babe is my neighbor
Ilyas smiled as he carefully fixed his clothes and set up his collectible figurines on the shelf.
Ilyas: okay, everything is set, thanks girls
Io: aww of course, babe
Ilyas: now I need to buy some groceries
Io: let me go with you, babe
Kairi smirked.
Kairi: you two go ahead, I have to meet my otaishi (prince) TPJ at the gym
Io: oooh, don't keep Pat-kun waiting
Kairi smirked as she went back to her and Io's room, put on her workout clothes and went to the gym to meet with TPJ, leaving Io and Ilyas to themselves.
Io: let's go grocery shopping?
Ilyas: hai, let me lock up
The Descendant closed the door and locked up as he and Io rode down to the ground floor and left the building to drive to the supermarket.
As the two drove, Ilyas' peripheral vision took a sneak peek at Io's thicc pale thighs. While Io was occupied as she looking out at the city, Ilyas took the chance to put his free hand on her thighs.
Io moaned softly and looked to see her lover's hand on her thighs, making her blush a bit and smile.
Io: keeping me warm, babe?
Ilyas chuckled as he stroked Io's thigh with his thumb, making the Joshi Judas smile and melt as she laid her head on his shoulder.
Ilyas: you can say that
He said as he kissed the top of Io's head.
The two continued their drive until they stopped and parked at a local supermarket.
Ilyas: hai, let's go
The couple exited their car and grabbed a shopping cart as they walked around the aisles.
Ilyas: let me cook you lunch as my welcome treatment, babe
Io smiled and kiss his cheek as gratitude from his sweetness.
Io: aww that's sounds like a lunch date
Ilyas: which is better because I'll be making a fresh homemade meal
Io smiled and walked with Ilyas as the couple shopped for the ingredients. Then Ilyas had an idea for the dish.

Ilyas: let's make steak and sushi!
Io: oh that sounds oishi!
The couple went to buy the necessary ingredients such as freshly cut steak, cucumber, rice and seaweed. Io however snuck away to grab a cup of ice cream for herself.
Ilyas: oh babe
The Descendant said as he chuckled.
Io: nani? You don't have a sweet tooth?
Ilyas: I am sweet for you
Io giggled and blushed at Ilyas' corny joke.
Io: oh you
The two continued to shop for more food to stock up on Ilyas' fridge and pantry while their cart was already full.
After the couple bought the groceries, they drove back to their apartment building.
(At Unit 316)
Ilyas and Io split the cooking evenly while also played and joked around with each other. The Descendant seasoned and cooked the steak while Io rolled and formed the sushi rolls.
Ilyas: oh those are perfect rolls, Io-san
Io: arigato, Ilyas-kun
She said with a smile as she watched her boyfriend cook.
After the steak was cooked, Ilyas chopped the protein and let Io placed it on top of each sushi roll to get the presentation and finished product.
Ilyas: oh this looks very appetizing
Io: because we cooked together and helped each other
Ilyas smiled as he kissed Io's head.
Ilyas: yeah we did
Io: let me take a picture of the delicious dish we made together
Io smiled and grabbed her phone as she took a picture of the steak sushi she made with her love.
Ilyas: hai, let's eat
Io: hai!
Io helped set the table while Ilyas served the main dish. The two sat next to each other and proceeded to eat the steak sushi.
Io: mmhh it's so delicious and the steak is juicy
Ilyas: because I basted it rosemary and butter and cooked it at medium rare
Io: you're a good cook, babe
Ilyas smiled as he ate.
Io: Ilyas-kun, I dare you to eat a piece with wasabi on it
Ilyas: wasabi? Oh no no no, my spice tolerance is not that high
Io: come on, you can put a little bit on it, experience it the first time
Ilyas: well... alright
Ilyas put a little wasabi on his piece and took a deep breath before he put the sushi in one bite. As Ilyas chewed the sushi, the wasabi's heat started to take a toll on the Descendant's tongue and Ilyas breathed and started to sweat while Io watched and giggled.
Io: you got it, babe?
Ilyas: yeah... I got it
Ilyas breathed and wiped his forehead of sweat.
Io: oh I forgot, you can cool off the wasabi with some soy sauce
Ilyas: now you tell me, babe!
Io giggled and laughed at the expense of her love as she watched Ilyas ate another sushi roll dipped in soy sauce.
Ilyas: oh goodness that was hot and spicy
Io giggled.
Io: but it was good, right?
Ilyas: I can handle Tabasco and jalapeno, but not wasabi
Io giggled and kissed his cheek
Io: you're so kawaii
Ilyas chuckled as the couple continued to eat until every last piece of steak sushi was eaten and finished.
Io: mmhh that was so delicious
Ilyas: hai, I'm stuffed
Io: I can share my ice cream with you, so you can cool off
Ilyas: yes please, arigato
Io got the ice cream from the freezer and grabbed two spoons. After Ilyas ate his first scoop, he immediately relaxed and cooled off his tongue.
Io: best lunch date ever
Ilyas: I'm so happy you enjoyed it babe, and a best way to welcome your new neighbor
Io: welcome to the neighborhood, Ilyas-kun
She said with a smile as she planted kiss on his cheek.
Ilyas: arigato Io-san
He said with a smile as he continued to eat the ice cream with his girlfriend.
(Time skip)
The couple were in Ilyas' bedroom watching Netflix' Wednesday to pass the time. After finishing an episode, Ilyas turned off his TV.
Ilyas: wanna take a nap, babe?
Io: hai that sounds like a good idea babe. I'm feeling a bit sleepy
Ilyas: hai, let's rest
Ilyas wrapped his arms around Io to keep her warm while he gently rubbed and stroked on her thighs, making the Joshi Judas melt into his arms as she closed her eyes and slept. Ilyas smiled and kissed the top of Io's head as he slept as well.

How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
