Chapter 1400 – A Night Spent with Sieg ③

I continued chatting with Sieg-san while enjoying the fruit wine leisurely. At first, we were both a little nervous, but after a little while, the tension eased and we were able to enjoy our conversation in a relaxed manner.

As to be expected, the main topic of conversation was about the event we had been in today and which monsters we liked the best.

[She does feel rather laid-back. Recently though, it seemed like she had taken a liking to napping on Bell-chan’s back……]

Sela almost never cries and is very calm, and just as Sieg-san said, she feels quite laid-back and follows things through her pace.

[However, she gets along well with Lynn, so with her bright personality, wouldn’t she be alright?]

Lynn, who is also a Dragon just like Sela, has an energetic personality, so their personalities seemed to be in contrast with each other, but the two of them get along quite well and would usually hang out with each other like sisters, so I guess they have good personality compatibility.

[It’s true that she and Lynn-chan get along very well, but I think that’s because they have more than just personality chemistry…… I think it’s because Sela thinks of Lynn-chan as her older sister. Lynn-chan is also a Dragon and is older than her after all.]

[Well, if I were to keep a pet, it would be nice to have something other than a Dragon. Lili may be disappointed, but if I were to keep another Dragon in our place, Bell-chan would feel left out and she’d be pitiful.]

[Ahh, indeed…… If you want to match Bell, it might be good to have a Demonic Beast…… Bell is rather prideful though, so I don’t know what will happen if you get a pet of a species similar or close to hers.]

[I guess they’re going to be very hierarchical huh.]

Bell is quite prideful and responds completely differently to those who she was emotionally attached to than those she doesn’t, and in the first place, there are very few she was very emotionally attached to.

If I tell her to do something, she obediently listens, but if it’s not me or someone she’s not emotionally attached to, she basically ignores them.

She often growls at Luna-san, but I think she actually has a high degree of favorability for her compared to those she doesn’t even feel emotionally attached to. However, since Luna-san often teases me, it seems like Bell considers her as a ruffian.

And so, if I were to keep the same Demonic Beast-type monster as Sieg-san said, there’s a good chance that she will drive the hierarchy down on the new pet.

[In that case, it would seem that something other than Dragons or Demonic Beast-type monsters would be better.]

[A special-type monster like Slimes might be better. Slimes are also monsters with quite a lot of variety. Well, they’re not as good as Dragons, but various types of Slimes have been confirmed depending on the environment they live in, so it seems that some academic societies are discussing if there’s a need to create a classification for Slime types.]

[Heehhh…… Are all Slime-types friendly?]

[All Slime-types are basically docile and don’t harm people, but there are some that are inherently poisonous, so even if the Slime themselves doesn’t intend to attack, people who unintentionally touch them may be harmed.]

There are different varieties of Slimes huh…… Is there something like a Metal Slime too? That does sound interesting, so if I have the chance, I would like to see the various types of Slimes.

Just like that, we continued chatting, talking about what kind of monsters are compatible with our current pets and other matters, and after a certain amount of time had passed, the bottle of fruit wine was empty.

Since we drank one bottle together, Sieg-san hardly felt drunk, and as usual, I wasn’t drunk at all. However, this seemed like a good time to put an end to drinking.

[I guess it’s about time we put this to an end?]

[You’re right. I also don’t want to drink too much, so let’s call it a night.]

Sieg-san nodded at my words and was about to move to the bathroom…… but she stopped along the way. It doesn’t seem like she forgot a change of clothes or her towel. Those things would probably be in her magic box, and there’s no way an inn as luxurious as this wouldn’t have towels in their dressing room.

As I was wondering about this, Sieg-san turned around and timidly looking at me, she softly spoke.
