《Ku Terluka Saat Kau Senang》Prologue

“The Godrealm to mortals looked the vision of paradise itself, with fresh air, beautiful buildings, orderly streets and not a speck of dirt in sight. They would find servants with faces of angels and the demeanors of cherished friends, bearing gifts that were perfect in quality and in their desirability to the recipient.”
— Encyclopedia of the Above, Aleksander Wijaya
Marriage was not a fixed and done deal, especially for deities. When time crawled as it did for you, the concept of being together forever was more of a curse than a blessing. This was not the exception for the parents of one Micha Ostor; a war god and a luck goddess. In fact, their union was one marked with numerous fights, tantrums, acts of physical violence, acts of magical violence, insults, and petty remarks to last an eternity. It surprised no one then that they separated, but not before giving birth to what each of them had hoped to be their respective heirs.
For Micha’s father, the war god Dumas Absad, he wanted someone he could raise to become his right-hand, to lead and to fight in the greatest of battles, and to also be a worthy rival in the never-ending pursuit of martial perfection. He dreamed of a juggernaut of rippling muscle, of towering height and imposing width, of skin like polished steel and eyes like fiery infernos.
For Micha’s mother, the luck goddess Aath Lazit, she had a more practical reason in mind. For every blessing she gave, she had to take it from somewhere else, and the amount taken is proportional to the harm their removal would incur. For most beings, this usually led to death, given her laziness, but then she had a brilliant idea. If she had a god at her disposal, she could use them as a never-ending source of luck given their immortality.

The result of their union proved to satisfy no one, as Micha Ostor was, admittedly, very tall, but thin and lanky to the point of being able to pass a very withered tree. His strength was sub-par even for most gods, and the lesser said about his reflexes and tactical mind, the better. His mother’s gamble did pay off in a way, as her curse nestled inside her son’s soul, but it had an unintended side-effect in that if Micha were to touch someone, his curse would then affect them in return, with disastrous consequences.
All in all, it was a coupling that should never have happened. Micha was thrown aside by his parents and left to fend for himself in the wastelands outside of the Godrealm known as the Retribution Fields. This chaotic space served as both a barrier and a dumping ground for the unwanted and despised of the Godrealm, which meant it was filled with all manners of crazed demigods, mortals, beasts as well as the odd minor gods and goddesses.
These were the days of Micha Ostor’s childhood.

Ultima Deus - The Last God
After the Great War, humanity has managed to survive through the passage of the controversial NCRA act and the advent of "Project Deus", or "Project God" - The creation of a Virtual Realm, "Aeterna". Praised as the salvation of mankind and the fulfillment of its grandest ambitions by some, others revile it as a tool to enthrall and enslave the minds of humanity's most vulnerable individuals. Project Deus promises to grant divinity to the select few who rise to the highest ranks in Aeterna, effectively becoming Gods and Goddesses. Forced to enter Aeterna, one man swears vengeance by becoming the Ultima Deus, or Last God. The God to end all gods. This is his story. Please note the following: Mature content, mostly gore and gratuitous violence. No immediate ultime power-ups. This is a grindy, feisty slugfest starting off from the very bottom of the pyramid, and measured, progressive and very deliberate upgrades. UPDATE: Hiatus is over, regular chapters incoming!

A Nation of Distances (possibly a dystopian love story)
Michael lives in a toxic macho world with extreme male hierarchy. When he gets a weird rating that makes his place even more problematic he's forced to choose a fiancée at a Wife School, and he slowly discovers more about the other side of the great divide between the sexes in The Nation. If only the world would stop being so complicated... On the other side there's Megan, who's more interested in books than in marriage, and the unpredictable Eliza who seems to have a connection with Micheal already. Will they be able to cross the distance and become friends against all the rules of their own world, or will they just be crushed? Are positive relationships between men and women even possible? And is there a way to change the world or is that just a naive thought of a silly wimp? 'A Nation of Distances' is a slightly dystopian dialogue-heavy drama set in a low sci-fi future setting about the war between the sexes, disconnect and friendship. The genre will fluctuate in between more slice-of-life parts and soft sci-fi drama with possible romantic elements, with alternating lead and switching perspectives once more of the main characters are established. Content Warning: Certain concepts and scenes might be disturbing and/or triggering to some, even though the story itself won't be extremely heavy most of the time. Sexism as a double-edged sword destructive to both sexes is an important part of the story, but so is friendship.Note that all descriptions of persons and places are purely fictional and made up by the writer, and any resemblance with anything in the real world is a coincidence, since the real world is not supposed to be dystopian anyway!

The Twin Lands
Join our heroine Enru on her journey in a world where humanity lives in perpetual light and warm while their enemies, the spider beings called Araxin, live in perpetual darkness and cold. Just because they live in the darkness and cold though doesn’t mean the Araxin want to stay there forever however, and this time their bid for the Southern half of the continent looks to be shaping up worse for humanity than ever before. Every ten years the planet nears its second sun in such a way that the Northern half of the continent warms and thaws and the Araxin enter a period of explosive growth, before always attempting to assault the humans in the South. Through events that you will need to read and discover yourself, sixteen year old Enru ends up vital to the survival of humanity, but can she succeed? In a world full of humans, dragons, giant intelligent spiders, trogs, behemoths lurking in the deep, magic, politics (can’t forget the politics) and more, what wonders await you? NOTE: This is my very first attempt at writing ever. Not just my first attempt I am showing people or my first attempt that went anywhere, but my first of any kind. I welcome constructive critisism and I know my grammar is not always the best. If something is majorly bothering you please leave a good comment or review on it rather than just a 0.5 rating and saying I suck. NOTE2: The main character will be gaining power that is, if used correctly, well above the standard for her race however I plan to implement it in such a way that she does not end up being crazy over powered and able to end every fight at her whim. She will struggle, she will lose sometimes and there will be loss along her journey to save her race. There will be no harem and I am unsure if there will be any sex scenes or even romance as this is my first story and I am not confident yet at being able to write that properly. So if you came here for the standard royalroad super OP guy that flies around having sex with every female character he meets, this is not that. Update Frequency: As this is my first story and I am still in the early stages, I cannot say how often updates will be. I lead a very busy life and this is a new way for me to relieve stress. I hope to be able to put out a few thousand words every few days at the least. Enjoy the story! PS. Cover was found on the website thedailybell.com, they did not source where they found it. I rotated and resized the image.
