Chapter 18,
His Brown Eyes
Maybe I just want to be his friend, maybe I think he's cute, and maybe, just maybe, I want him to realize that my feelings have changed and I want to take back everything I said!
~ Y/n's POV ~
I had a dream I was your hero, Damn! I wish I was your lover.
I'll rock you til the daylight comes..
My earbuds blasted 'Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover' by Sophia B. Hawkins, I loved listening to this song whenever I have a crush on someone or I'm in love with my partner for the reason that it fits how I always feel about them before getting with them.
I was currently putting on my clothes for the scenes that I have today, I was excited to see Mason instead of dreading to meet him again because of last night.
When we were walking back to our trailers, we were talking about how exciting it is to work with one another, since he worked with Ethan Hawke and I worked with Anne Hathaway for a movie that I was in that comes out in July.
I'm glad that we put the things behind us, it seems that way anyways.
"Alright honey, text me if you need anything at all. I'm going to hang out with the other parents, J love you."
My mom kissed my forehead and walked away to where her new friends waited for her before walking with her to a car and driving off to God knows where, I walked onto the set and said hi to everyone before sitting down on the chair that had my name on the back of it.
I took my phone and began to play some games that I haven't played in a while, I didn't know what to do so I was just playing around until Miguel or Madeleine showed up to the set.

Sometimes I hated being earlier than everyone else because I have nobody to talk to, my friends are asleep considering it's early in the morning and because they sleep in a lot which means that wouldn't be up even if it's in the afternoon, I put my earbuds in and played my Spotify playlist.
Anything to pass the time is something I would be doing, I would talk to someone but nobody my age is here yet and making conversation with an adult can seem a little weird if taken the wrong way.
When someone my age finally came onto set, it was Mason, and at first I believed that he was going to ignore my being and pretend that I wasn't there because he didn't turn my way even though I'm sure he knew that I was there.
Right when I was starting to feel bad about myself for believing that he wasn't going to say hi or even look my way, Mason walked over to me and sat down beside me.
"It's the loser that believes iron man is better than Spiderman. Hello Y/n."
Mason joked, I smiled at him and greeted before we began to talk about the scenes that we got and before I knew it, he was listening to my music with my right airpod in his ear as we practiced our lines together.
Sometimes I wanted to just look at him and admired how his hair fell perfectly or how his brown eyes were able to make fire burn brighter and faster, I loved his brown eyes better than anything.
The way that they looked much more lighter in direct sunlight, the way they looked darker and much more captivating in the moonlight, how they complimented his hair, all of these things that I have noticed but didn't say anything at all.

I wanted him to know that my feelings have changed, my friends were right and his friends were right, I don't hate him and I don't think that I ever actually did.
I just made that up in my mind so that I didn't have to face the facts that I had fallen deeply in love with someone who was way out of my league, falling in love is a strong word but liking is such a bland word and didn't explain how I felt correctly.
In all of the movies, every enemy falls in love with the person they hate the most and they can't seem to get them out of their head, it's like the enemy is forever in their mind.
"Alright, well we have to be on set right now so let's go Y/n/n."
That was the first time Mason had even called me a nickname that wasn't disrespectful or mean, I smiled at him as I got up from the chair and walked with him onto set, receiving both confused and ecstatic stares from Miguel and Madeleine.
I made a little mental note to tell my best friends about this moment and let them know that they were right although I will never ever admit to anyone but myself that I was wrong and had been wrong this entire time, they don't need the little extra boost of happiness right this moment.
"Well, what you're saying is you think that you fell in love with be boy you have claimed that you hated with all your soul and now you're rethinking everything?"
Morgan summarized everything from what I had said, I nodded my head and sighed before Charlize began to question if I'm being so serious or if I'm playing with their feelings, I didn't know what to say because I knew I liked him but it could all change so fast.
Feelings can be so confusing for some people and so easy for others.
Maybe I just want to be his friend, maybe I think he's cute, and maybe, just maybe, I want him to realize that my feelings have changed and I want to take back everything I said!
I suddenly confessed everything, I didn't even stop the words from leaving my mouth when they began to fall out quickly, Charlize and Beatrice began squealing all happy because of what I said.
Morgan let out a smile and laughed at me as she noticed how nervous I had gotten, I couldn't help but realize how much I liked him and how much time I could and would spend staring into his brown eyes.
Nothing changes more than your feelings after finally getting to know someone and realizing that you don't actually hate them or don't see them as a friend anymore.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
