I opened my school locker and I started to reorganize my books then I felt a tap on my shoulder.
I slowly turned around to see a familiar boy with messy brunette hair and basic brown eyes.
"You're Ashley Sky, right?" He questioned while staring at me and I looked down the partly empty hallway before returning my attention to him.
"Who wants to know?" I asked as I closed my locker and he exhaled a small chuckle.
"Don't you remember me?" He raised a brow with a puzzled look in his eyes.
I simply shook my head.
"No, I don't, so enlighten me before I decide to walk away." I bluntly told him and he touched his ear while chuckling.
"I'm Chad." He introduced himself as his lips curved into a smile and I stared at him, blankly.
"We attended the same junior high and..." I interrupted him.
"I know...but you actually...remember me." I nervously ran a hand through my hair while staring at him.
He continued to smile.
"Of course, I remember you." He claimed as his eyes checked me out.
I leaned against my locker.
"We never spoke in Junior high." I recalled when I finally realized it was actually Chad, my old crush.
He sighed..."At least we both know each other."
"And you're still pretty as ever." He playfully touched my cheek with his thumb and I slightly smiled.
"So, you're still a playboy, huh?" I crossed my hands underneath my chest as I curiously stared at him and he seemed surprised by my respond.
"What makes you think that?" He asked while raising his brows together.
"I've never played a girl in my life, they're the ones who tried to play with my feelings and ended up getting heartbroken." He informed me with a cold stare when I remained silent.
"That's quite sad." Is all I said as I slowly looked down the hall.
"You don't believe me, don't you?" I heard him asking while I glanced Tyson and Mason entering a different hall.
"I would never say that, Chad." I slightly chuckled as I looked at him.
He ruffled his hair.
"Well, I would like to get to know you better." He shrugged it off with a sigh and I stared at him.
"And this is quite awkward for me, since I've never once decided to make the first move." He softly chuckled while glancing at the floor before his eyes returned to mine.
"Oh." Is all I could say as I started to relax once again.

He smiled with a pinch of nervousness in his eyes.
"Do you have a boyfriend, by the way?" He asked while he slowly looked around in the hallway.
I exhaled a dry cough.
"No." I said as I looked down the hallway to see few students walking around in their assembled groups.
The bell started to ring.
"How about you...do you have a girlfriend?" I returned my attention to Chad and he started to stretch his hands before he shook his head.
"I only started this school couple weeks ago after moving to this town due to my parents getting divorced." He told me while he rolled his eyes and I leaned up from my locker.
"How could I've gotten a girlfriend so quickly?" He chuckled at me and I shrugged while smiling.
"It's quite possible." I assumed with a nod and he continued to chuckle.
"Do you want me to walk you to class?" He genuinely suggested and I exhaled a deep breath before nodding.
"Oh...I would also like to get to know you more too, Chad." I admitted as we both started to walk in the hallway.
He looked at me with a wide smile on his face.
"I'm glad the feeling is mutual, Ashley." He told me before he looked ahead and I slightly smirked to myself.

"And who are those guys?" I heard Chloe asking and I looked up from my phone when she pointed towards the canteen doors.
I realized she was referring to Tyson and the boys as they entered the cafeteria.
"Ooh...he seems like my type." I saw Lexi pointing to Mason and I slightly chuckled.
"They're pretty tempting." Chloe claims while she continued to gawk at the boys.
Then Tyson made eye contact with me and I stared at him for a moment before I slowly returned my eyes to my phone..."They're the school's bad boys."
"Oh my God...are they coming over to our table?" I heard Zoe whispering too loud.
I exhaled a small sigh when I heard those words...
"Duh...wait...what?" I heard Chloe choking on mid-air and I chuckled to myself while she started to straighten her blouse.
"Ashley...I gotta admit, this school is way much better than I expected." I heard Lexi confessing with a nod before she took a sip of her sugar free soda.
I shrugged it off with a slight smile while I scrolled through my phone.
"Hey, Ashley." Mason was the first to greet me and I looked up as the boys began to pull more chairs towards our table in the canteen.

"Who're these chicks, blonde?" Tyson placed a hand on my leg while he sat beside me in a chair and I slowly looked at him.
"My best friends." I told him as I shoved his hand away and they all started to share glances.
"Cool." Noah broke the silence and Tyson pat me on the leg.
"I didn't know you had more friends at school." Tyson said while we shared a stare though I was actually glaring at him.
"They recently transferred to this school, but we all are coming from the same hometown." I added as I slightly gripped him by the hand and I watched as his lips curved into a smirk.
"Well, aren't you going to introduce them to us?" I heard Mason asking and I loosened my grip on Tyson.
"She is Lexi." I used my phone which was in my other hand to point at Lexi while she playfully waved.
"She is Chloe." I pointed at Chloe as she smiled in silence.
"And she's Zoe." I pointed to a blushing Zoe.
"I'm Mason." Mason introduced himself while Lexi continued to keep her eyes on him.
"I am Noah." Noah said as he held Mason by the ear and I glanced Zoe looking his way at the moment.
"I am Scott." Scott ruffled his hair while Mason slightly glared at Noah's playfulness.
Noah nervously chuckled in respond as he released his hand from Mason's ear and I slightly smiled at that point.
"I'm Tyler." I heard Tyler introducing himself, but more likely to Chloe and I watched as they shared an eye contact.
"Chase is the name." Chase said as he rubs the back of his neck and the girls smiled at him.
"I'm Carlos." Carlos removed his headset from his neck while looking around at us and I turned my attention to Tyson.
"And I am..." Tyson suddenly paused when I purposely brought his hand closer in between my legs since I was wearing a skater skirt.
He looked at me with a hint of surprise in his eyes for once and I returned his smirk from earlier as silence overwhelmed the table.
"T-tyson." Tyson slightly cleared his throat when I slowly shoved his hand away before I crossed my legs in my seat.
"Nice to meet you, T-tyson." Noah decided to mock him, of course.
We slightly chuckled when Tyson crossed his arms over his chest.
"Are you new to this city, T-tyson?" Mason joined as well and the boys laughed while Tyson started to glare.
"Oh, shut it." Tyson rolled his eyes before motioning a finger to the boys.
I smirked in silence while Noah raised his hands up in surrender.
"Hey, Ashley." I suddenly heard a random voice calling to me in the cafeteria.
I looked to see Chad walking by with a tray of food in his hands.
"Oh...hey, Chad." I waved to him and he smiled with a nod while he walked over to an unoccupied table in the cafeteria.
I slightly smiled.
"I don't mean to pry...but who is the dude?" Chase was the first to inquire and I glanced over to Chad's table.
"He used to be Ashley's crush." I glared at Chloe as those words left her lips and she giggled at me.
"Oh." I heard the boys humming in an union and I felt a small tension growing at the table.
"That was in junior high." I rolled my eyes before looking at my phone to realize Chad had messaged me approximately seven minutes ago and he was offering to buy lunch.
I slightly groaned to myself.
"You know you still like him." I heard Chloe whispering in a playful tone and I continued to groan while closing my eyes.
"Where are you going, bro?" I heard Mason asking and I slowly opened my eyes to see Tyson standing up from his seat.
"I just remembered that the Principal wanted to have a word with me." Tyson claimed as he pointed his thumb to the exit and Mason simply nodded.
I watched as Tyson walked away from our table with his hands in his pockets and through the cafeteria doors, he went.
"What's up with him all of a sudden?" I overheard Scott whispering to Carlos from my left as I exchanged eye contact with Mason.
Then I glanced Carlos shrugging in respond while he placed his headsets around his neck.
The girls started to make conversations at the table to break the sudden awkwardness and I watched as they all interact with each other.
I looked over at Chad's table and I saw him eating lunch in silence while there were more random students sitting at the table.
I exhaled a small breath before I returned my attention to my friends with a smile.
