Steven is abruptly woken up in a cell by someone singing and slowly sits up. He feels his face, finding he has a bruised eye now, and starts looking around.

"Amethyst? Pearl?"

Steven then recalls Garnet being poofed into two gems and Y/n being knocked out by Jasper. and he gasps. "Y/n! Garnet! Where are they?"

The sound of someone wincing and groaning gets his attention and he turns around to see Y/n who had been in the same cell as him. Y/n groans and clenches his teeth slightly as he pushes himself up and he holds his chest.

"Y/n! You're okay!" Steven calls out relieved as he rushes over to try and hug Y/n.

"Wait stop!" Y/n stops him.

"Wha..." Steven stammers.

"While I'm really happy to see you Steven..." Y/n starts as lifts his shirt to reveal his injuries from the fight on the beach. "I think Jasper, really did a number on my ribs."

"If I had my healing spit I could heal you..." Steven says glumly.

"Hey, this is not you're fault." Y/n is quick to remind him. "Besides, You need it more than I do." Y/n says as he looks at Steven's black eye now. "Are you okay? I'm sorry I couldn't do more to protect you."

"I'm okay." Steven says smiling at Y/n.

"Good." Y/n nods. "We need to find a way out of this cell so we can go find the others and then find a way out of...where ever we are." Y/n says and Steven nods.

Steven then tries running out of the cell, but stops when he sees a yellow force field in front of them. Angry screaming is then heard, startling Steven a bit. He then tries sticking his finger in the force field, and yellow currents starts running across his arm. "Eww..." Steven says then he chuckles. Steven pushes himself through the force field, yellow currents running all around his body, and passes through unscathed. "Cool." He then reaches his arm in to create an opening for Y/n who slowly crawls through it.

Steven then shivers the currents away. "We're out. Woohoo! Okay, where is everybody?" He asks as he and Y/n slowly start walking along the hallway as Y/n just about manages to keep up. "Gotta find 'em. Gotta find 'em. Gotta find... Oh... "

Steven and Y/n come to a stops as they notice a small red gem crying in a cell.

"... Hey there. Are... you okay?" Y/n carefully asks.

The gets startled and pants heavily. She then bangs on the cell wall in frustration, causing Steven to lose his footing.

"Great! This is just perfect!" The small gem says.

"Uh, do you need any help?" Steven asks now.

"No!" The gem shouts. "I mean...Don't look at me! Just... go away." She turns away and curls up.

Steven looks up at Y/n who shakes his head and the two turn as they begin to walk away.

"Hey, wait! You're out!" The gem cries now as she stops them. "How did you get past the field?" She asks.

"Oh, I just kinda..." Steven reaches towards the force field.

"Wait! No-no-no-no-no, wait!" The gem warns him but Steven's hand passes through the force field.

"It's... okay?" The gem as confused as they touch the force field and her hand gets deformed, forcing her to quickly retracts in pain. "Ah! Nugh!" The gem gets suspicious. "What's going on?"

The singing is heard again, and Y/n, Steven and the red Gem start looking around.

"Somebody's singing..." Y/n comments.

"Sapphire." The red gem whispers to herself before she turns to Y/n and Steven now. "Let me out of here! Please! I need to find Sapphire!"

"Is she your friend? We're looking for our friends, too." Steven asks her.

The red gem begins panicking. "She's all alone! I need to find her!"

"Don't worry, we'll all find our friends." Y/n tires to calm her down.

Steven steps into the force field and holds out his arm, creating a hole through the force field. "And we'll do it together!" He says stuttering.

The gem slides under Steven's arm now and runs off on her own.

"Whoa! Wait for us!" Steven calls out to her.

"Go after her, These bruised ribs are just going to slow you down I'm afraid." Y/n says and Steven looks up at him.

"Are you sure?" Steven asks hesitant to leave Y/n.

"I'll be fine Steven, Just help her find her friend and the others. I'll try find the others too. We'll meet up again. Don't worry." Y/n assures and Steven nods now as he chases after the small red gem.

Steven and the red Gem exit the hallway through a door.

"Hey, my name's Steven, by the way, The person before is called Y/n, what's yours?" Steven asks the little gem.

"Quiet!" The gem says as she tries to focus. "Ugh! I can't see!" She comments as she looks around at where the singing can be coming from. "This way!" She points and runs off again.

"Uaaahhhh!" Steven and the red Gem run down a winding hallway.

"How many more Gems are trapped here?" Steven wonders as they run through the hallway.

"Don't know. Don't care." The little gem says.

The singing stops, and Steven and the red Gem stop running.

"She stopped singing..." The little gem says now "Sapphire!" She then yells hoping to get a response but she gets none. "Ugghhh...!!! I don't have time for this!" The red Gem yells and she runs away from Steven.

"Wait!" Steven calls out to her.

Y/n had reached a hallway with a large window in it and he looks out it to finds that they are inside the Gem ship, floating above the Earth.

"It's beautiful..." Y/n says in momentary awe of the blue planet below.

Y/n wanted to stay and stare at the planet but he knew he had to try and find his friends. He slowly continued along the hallway when he encounters as a cell with a Gem in it. As Y/n draws closer he finds that he recognises the gem "Lapis?" Y/n asks.

The Gem turns around, revealing to be Lapis Lazuli.

"Lapis, I'm glad to see you're okay hold on a moment, I think I can get you out the same way Steven did." Y/n says as he reaches his hand forward for the force field.

Lapis backs away from it "Stop!"

"Lapis, It's okay." Y/n calmly says to her. "I want to hel.."

"No!" Lapis stops him. "I don't want your help. Things are bad enough as it is. I've already made too much trouble. Once we get back to Homeworld, they're going to decide what to do with us. Y/n, whatever you and Steven are doing, just stop. If we do everything they say, they might go easy on us." Lapis says to him now.

Y/n holds his side and groans a little as he crouches down now to be face to face with Lapis.

"They're never, going to go easy on us Lapis." He says as he lifts his shirt a little to show her the side of his torso.

"That's why we can't fight them." Lapis says hopelessly.

"So are you just going to sit here and let them keep you a prisoner?" Y/n asks her as he lowers his shirt. "They hurt my friends Lapis, I'm not giving up on them because they wouldn't give up on me. I don't understand how you can just accept being imprisoned again after all that time you spent wishing to be free."

Lapis turns to the side and curls up.

"You don't understand, I told homeworld about your friends and you." Lapis tells him.

"You were on you're own with no one to help you and no one to defend you. I don't know what the others might think or do. But I don't blame you." Y/n tells her then sighs. "I'm not going to make you do anything." Y/n says as he groans getting back up onto his feet now. "You are you're own gem Lapis, you should do what you want too, not what you are told too."

Lapis just watches as Y/n walks away now before she turns her back to the force field of her cell.

The singing starts again and Steven runs towards another part of the ship. He then hears a door opening and halts on his spot. He hides against a wall as Peridot and Jasper walk by.

"We can't leave yet!" Peridot tells Jasper.

Steven peeks around the corner at Peridot and Jasper, standing in front of another cell.

"The whole point of coming here was to check on the Cluster!" Peridot finishes.

Jasper punches the wall beside the cell. "Stop singing!" She shouts and the gems does so. Jasper then turns to Peridot. "Rose Quartz takes priority. Get back to the bridge and set a course for Homeworld." She commands before she grumpily leaves.

"Go to earth," they said. "It'll be easy," they said." Peridot grumbles to herself as she leaves as well in other direction and Steven peeks out of the corner. He then sees another Gem in a cell, looks around, ensuring it is safe, then starts singing again. Steven walks up to the cell.

"Hey, I like your song. Are you Sapphire?" Steven whispers to the gem.

"You escaped... "Sapphire says and Steven reaches his hand through the force field. "Of course..."

Steven creates a gap in the force field with his arms. "Come on, it's safe." Steven says shakily.

Sapphire steps through underneath Steven's arms. "Thank you, Steven."

"You're... welcome!" Steven says as he steps away from the force field now.

"Sapphire!" A voice calls in the distance.

"Come on!" Sapphire grabs Steven's hand and runs at incredible speed, pulling him along.

"Whoa!" Steven says a little shaken up.

Sapphire and Steven suddenly stop at a doorway, look through into a room, and spots the red gem from before on the other side. The red gem notices them as she gasps in surprise.

"Ruby!" Sapphire cries.

Sapphire and Ruby run towards each other, meeting in the center of the room, and embrace each other.

"Did they hurt you?" Ruby asks Sapphire.

"No, no, I'm okay. Did they hurt you?" Sapphire asks Ruby now.

"Who cares!?" Ruby starts tearing up.

"I do!" Sapphire says.

Sapphire kisses Ruby's tears away. Ruby picks up Sapphire and starts spinning her around. The pair laughs and twirls around together in joy, as they start to fuse together. Steven watches as their laughter and bodies merge together into an amorphous white blob of light and emerges as... Garnet, who lands in front of him, happy to see him. "Steven! Thank you!"

Steven gasps. "Garnet! You're a fusion!?"

"Aw, I'm sorry. We didn't want you meeting us here like this." Garnet tells him.

"Well, did I make a good first impression?" Steven asks.

"Oh Steven." Garnet smiles as she places her hand on Steven's cheek. "We already love you."

"Where is she!?" They hear Jasper angrily shout in the near distance.

"It's Jasper." Garnet says. "Steven, find the others and get to the control bridge."

"But I don't know where they are." Steven says worried.

Garnet kisses Steven's forehead, and he can visualize where Amethyst and Pearl are in his head.

"Future vision...! Wait, are you gonna be able to beat her on your own?

"It's okay, Steven. I'm never alone." Garnet tells him.

Steven smiles nodding and runs off now to help the others.

Jasper then enters and Garnet turns to face her.

"Oh great." Jasper comments annoyed. "You're both out? And you're fused again? Why? Fusion is just a cheap tactic to make weak Gems stronger. Quit embarrassing yourselves! I've seen what you really are."

Garnet just chuckles. "No, you haven't."

♫ This is Garnet. Back together. And I'm never going down at the hands of the likes of you because I'm so much better. And every part of me is saying "Go get her!". ♫

Garnet and Jasper start circling around the room. Jasper then pulls out a Gem Destabilizer.

♫ The two of us ain't gonna follow your rules. Come at me without any of your fancy tools. Let's go, just me and you. Let's go, just one on two. ♫

Garnet summons her visor as Jasper charges towards her.

♫ Go ahead and try and hit me if you're able. Can't you see that my relationship is stable? I can see you hate the way we intermingle. But I think you're just mad 'cause you're single. ♫

Garnet gracefully dodges all of Jasper's attacks as she tries to jab her with the Gem Destabilizer.

♫ And you're not gonna stop what we made together. We are gonna stay like this forever. If you break us apart, we'll just come back newer. And we'll always be twice the gem that you are. ♫

Garnet disarms Jasper and snaps the Gem Destabilizer in half. She and Jasper then summon their weapons and prepare to clash off.

♫ I am made, o-o-o-o-of, Lo-o-o-o-ove. O-o-o-o-of ♫

In the meantime, Steven manages to Amethyst and Pearl, and they head for the control bridge. They find Peridot inside, she pulls a Gem Destabilizer from the console and prepares to attack. Steven rushes forward however and quickly grapples the Gem Stabilizer, unable to be poofed, and it surprises Peridot.

♫ Lo-o-o-o-ove. Lo-o-o-o-ove. Lo-o-o-o-ove. ♫

Garnet lands a few punches on Jasper's face, but Jasper grabs her and flails her onto the ground, sending her crashing on the floor and cracking it.

Meanwhile, Steven, Amethyst and Pearl have overpowered Peridot and tied her up with Amethyst's whip.

"Don't touch that! You clods don't know what you're doing!" Peridot says to them.

"You got this, Pearl!" Amethyst says to her.

"Okay, ship. Turn us around! "Pearl reaches into the ship's control panel and her eyes flash in awe with data. Steven glances at the ship surveillance and One one screen he can see Y/n making slowly making his way down the corridor as he uses the wall to help him along. Steven can then see Garnet and Jasper still fighting on another screen. Garnet punches Jasper up to the ceiling, and Jasper quickly spin-dashes back at her, causing them to break through the floor and into the engine room. Garnet is visibly buffeted by Jasper's spin-dash, but she continues to sing.

♫ This is who we are. This is who I am. And if you think you can stop me, Then you need to think again. ♫

Jasper, seemingly not hurt at all, glares menacingly at the injured Garnet, kneeling on the ground.

♫ 'Cause I am a feeling, And I will never end, And I won't let you hurt my planet, And I won't let you hurt my friends. ♫

Garnet slowly gets up and resummons her gauntlets, ready to face off Jasper again.

♫ Go ahead and try and hit me if you're able. Can't you see that my relationship is stable? / I know you think I'm not something you're afraid of, 'Cause you think that you've seen what I'm made of. ♫

Garnet throws a few punches, but Jasper blocks all of it with her crash helmet and punches Garnet to the ground. Garnet quickly recovers and slams both her fists at Jasper's temples, shattering her helmet visor and physically hurting her.

♫ But I am even more than the two of them. Everything they care about is what I am. I am their fury. I am their patience. I am a conversation. ♫

Jasper, enraged, spin-dashes towards Garnet, who dodges out of the way. Jasper starts spin-dashing around the room and charges at Garnet in full force. Garnet, however, manages to catch her attack head-on.

♫ I am made, o-o-o-o-of, Lo-o-o-o-ove. O-o-o-o-of, And it's stronger than you. ♫

Garnet then hurls Jasper at the ship power source, overflowing it and causing it to explode. The explosion jerks the entire ship, causing Steven, Peridot, Amethyst, and Pearl to stumble and jostle.

Garnet runs out of the room now and through a hallway from the exploding engine room, still singing.

♫ L-o-o-o-ove. O-o-o-o-of, L-o-o-o-ove. And it's stronger than you... ♫

As Garnet's song comes to an end she encounters someone familiar up ahead.

Back in the control bridge Peridot, still tied up, crawls away in the chaos and activates an Escape Pod that encases her. Amethyst tries to stop her, but fails as Peridot sinks into the floor. The rapidly-descending ship then flings the escape pod back onto Earth. Steven, Amethyst, and Pearl watch out the window as the ship continues its freefall when Garnet enters the control bridge.

"Garnet!" The three cry.

"This ship is going down!" Garnet says urgently.

"What about Y/n and Lapis? Steven asks.

"There's no time!" Garnet says.

Lapis is shown looking forlorn inside her cell, as the ship plunges back onto Earth. It crash-lands on the hill of the Crystal Temple and explodes.

The door to the temple bursts open as Lion emerges from it with Y/n lying on his back.

Lion comes running down the beach as rubble shatter everywhere from the explosion. He then roars into a pile of rubble and unravels the Crystal Gems inside Steven's bubble shield.

"Nice one Lion." Y/n says tiredly.

"Y/n!" Steven, Pearl and Amethyst all cry happy to see he is alright.

"B...but how?" Pearl asks shocked.

"I really owe you, Garnet." Y/n says giving her a thumbs up as he slumps off of Lion and holds his ribs.

"I took a chance and bubbled Y/n sending him back to the temple. It seemed safer that way." Garnet explains.

"Killer Headache though..." Y/n groaned.

"Oh my gosh Garnet! I can't believe you're a fusion all the time!"

"You met Ruby and Sapphire?!" Amethyst cries.

"Oh no! We were going to introduce you." Pearl says sadly. "Garnet, your plan!"

"We were waiting for your birthday." Garnet reveals to Steven.

"Well we can still do it! I'll just pretend I didn't know!" Steven suggests.

"Wait...Garnet's a fusion?" Y/n asks in shock.

Amethyst starts to chuckle, when a hand emerges from the rubble, breaking the moment. Jasper then bursts out from the burning wreckage of the ship, panting heavily and limbing.

"Ugh! Auh..." Jasper falls to her knees. "Don't think you've won. You only beat me 'cause you're a fusion!" She says angrily towards Garnet. "If I had someone to fuse with I'd... Huh?"

Another pile of rubble starts to move, and Lapis emerges out of it, falling onto her knees. She then attempts to flee using her water wings, but Jasper quickly grabs her leg.

"Come here, brat! Aw, don't fly off so soon."

"Lapis!" Steven cries worried as he tries to run over to Lapis, but Pearl and Amethyst stop him.

"Leave her alone!" Y/n calls out but it causes him to cough a little and Garnet helps him.

"Lapis, listen, fuse with me!" Jasper says ignoring the others.
