“Truly a descendent of the great Cyrus. You shall be the one to inherit the great power.” Said the Elders.

“The wise ones, what is it all about? What had happened to… that man?” Asked Chlorus, he was about to mention Hector, but the swallowed the name, as that monster he encounter was without Hector’s soul.

“Worry not, my general. He… they are merely products of failure. When we finally gather the Eugenes and the Teleios, we shall be able to create the perfect future.”

“A future ruled by the perfect, our empire will be the strongest on earth. Soon, there will be no pain and suffering, for our nation shall be perfect.”

The Three Elders placed one of their palms on Chlorus’s head, and he started to see visions.

A cattle herd pulling ploughs, planting the corps and another group harvesting with great efficiency. To Chlorus horror, those cattle were all with human heads.

His vision moved towards the large field, the Norse soldiers was about to attack. Over thirty thousands of them. But they were mauled alive by the monstrous Roman soldiers. Minotaurs, centaurs, screaming harpies, chimeras, giants. When the monster swallowed a Norse soldier, they turned bigger and stronger.

The army of monsters were so strong, they even controlled weather and oceans, taking over the North, and to the East. The weak human soldiers unable to retaliate. Non of them survived.

The weak shall perish, and only the strong will survive. And our nation, shall be the strongest. Because we moved winds and send waves, we controlled heaven and earth. We will be the divine, we are the Theoi.

Chlorus saw Nero on the top of the mount Olympus, with his glorious shinning golden armour, he was with horns of bull on his head and a pair of large white wings as a swan. to his surprise, Chlorus saw himself appeared from an ocean, sitting on top of a high rock in the middle of the waters, he was with a trident and his lower body was like a large tail of a fish.

Horrified, he broke himself away from that vision.

What’s the matter? You had been chosen to be the Theoi. You’ll be divine, you’ll be invincible, you’ll be immortal!

Chlorus was sent right back to the vision, but he tried to break from their guidance. He entered into a realm through a tunnel.

I remember this tunnel!

The tunnel lead him into a large hall with an altar in the middle. As the Thessalian horses were all sleeping around the main altar.

Someone… someone is laying on the altar. Arctus?!

The man on the altar was screaming and struggling. With both of his hands and legs chained on, the two Elders cut him on his waist. Arctus screaming and crying, while the other Syracusean soldiers, including Peatrus, were screaming in horror. They were all tied up on the pillars, muffled. Chlorus was horrified. He wanted to shout but only realised he was tied and muffled too. The pain of his wrist and he felt the wet towel that muffled him, the iron scent of blood. It was not mere visions. His presence felt real.

The third Elder raised a body of a horse without its neck and head to the altar. And the Three slowly stitching Arctus’s upper body onto the horse. They were making a centaur.

Your people is now completed! Blessed with the strength of the best Thessalian horse and will be the perfect cavalry! They will be your perfect cavalry! General Chlorus!
