Chlorus had to jump and roll out of his attacks. As Aster’s large axe hit the floor, crushing the marble floor into shatters. Taking the opportunity while Aster’s movement was slow due to that heavy weapon, Chlorus stabbed his sword towards the man.
The muscle memory reacted and dodged Chlorus’s attack. Aster continuously chopping on Chlorus’s direction. But he rolled and hopped, dodged all of his attacks in ease. Aster’s axe ended up chopping the nearby tables, scroll shelves and kline chairs. Annoyed with the heavy weapon, he roared, threw away his axe, panting in pain, the skin at his back broken. Another three pairs of arms grew out from his back, turning himself into a hekatonchires. One pair of arms seemed unique though, it was thick and furry, just like arms of a brown bear.
Chlorus was stunned by the man that turned into a monster. When he attempted to defend himself with his sword, Aster laid multiple hard punches on the man, beating him until his blood spurt out from his mouth. And he laid a final powerful punch to Chlorus, sending his whole body flew and hit on the wall.
Aster pulled up the man and pinned him on the wall with four of his arms by his shoulder, and he removed his own helmet, revealing his head. A face stranger to Chlorus. When he opened his mouth, his sharp teeth and fangs were monstrous. When he was about to bit Chlorus, the man given the monster a hard kicked on his jaw, and then head bump Aster on his nose.
Aster loosen his grip, and Chlorus escaped. He immediately barged towards Aster and locked one of Aster’s leg, an Pankration technique to cause immense pain to the opponent and to prevent his arms from reaching him. But Aster bent both of his legs, crossing his ankle and escaped Chlorus’s locking.

A grin etched on Aster’s face. He knew that he was not trained. He was merely a temple guard. But with the strong body of a well trained Syracusean warrior, he able to match Chlorus with ease. But Hector was a masterful spearman and war strategist. He gained the memory of Pankration techniques from another body he had taken over, those four pair of arms, one was his own, another was Hector’s, the furry one was from a wild adult bear, and the last one, was from the greatest gladiator of Rome. Spiculus’s face popped out from the back of Aster’s head. His eyes opened wide with horror marked his expression, a lifeless face.
Chlorus ran towards the axe and picked it up and charged towards Aster. Knowing his attack, the monster simply dodge the axe, but he saw through the eyes at the back of his head, that Chlorus had chopped down the hands of his top two arms. His arms. As Chlorus had noticed those arms performed weaker compared to the others.
Furious with his lost, Aster used his larger bear arms to capture the axe while Chlorus delivered his attack. The axe chopped thought the furry arms but the other two pairs of muscle arms captured Chlorus, knocking him against the nearby pillar. The axe and his bear arms dropped on the floor, and Aster dragged Chlorus to the klepsydra water clock in the study, dipping Chlorus’s head into the basin of water.
“I prefer to eat my meal alive, but you need to be prepped!” Aster kept pushing Chlorus and drowning him in the basin of the water clock. “With your blood, I will be perfect!” As the water from the top basin continued to flow, and Chlorus was not making any struggle. Aster raised Chlorus’s body and was about to took his bite.

A hit on his neck, Chlorus was still conscious, and he chopped to Aster’s throat. His hand was holding a papyrus weigh, further intensify his chop. Aster dropped Chlorus.
Chlorus reached his sword on the floor, and ran towards the balcony, while Aster furiously picked up his axe and chasing after the man.
The men fought each other with their weapons. Knowing his sword might be too weak to defend him against a large axe, Chlorus pulled out the curtains, using it like a net, he covered Aster.
Annoyed by the curtain, Aster slashed through the cloth with his heavy axe, only to realise, he was in a position near the edge of the balcony. Chlorus gave him a hard kick on his butt, and with the weight of the axe, Aster tripped over, and his body fell towards a statue on the ground from that balcony.
“I need to fly!” Aster shouted, while the spear held by the statue of Ares pierced through his body when he fallen towards it.
Gasping for air, Chlorus unable to relax himself.
“Amazing!”
Clapping sound stunned Chlorus. When he turned, the Three Elders was in the study room.

8 611Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
