Third Person's POV

Aiden was horrified when he saw Xander throw Abigail over his shoulders. Aiden thought Xander looked angry.

'Oh my goodness, what happened? What did she do wrong?' Aiden thought to himself.

Aiden felt the panic rising, he didn't know how to help his sister. He was terrified that Xander was going to hurt his sister, or worse, kill her! The sound of a loud smack, made him think for certain Xander was definitely going to kill her!

Aiden tried to think hard, desperately trying to think what he could possibly do to help the sister, but became more panicked when he realized he was too small, too frail, and too weak.

Thaddeus saw how scared Aiden was, he could almost feel Aiden's panic.

Thaddeus reached over, gently grabbing Aiden's cheek and turning his head in his direction.

Thaddeus cupped Aiden's cheek, lightly stroking it with his thumb, bringing Aiden's attention to his eyes.

"It's okay, calm down. She's okay, he won't hurt her. They're just playing around, Xander would never hurt your sister." Thaddeus said in soft, calm voice that almost instantly relaxed Aiden.

Thaddeus smiled when he felt Aiden lean against his hand.

Thaddeus's moment was ruined, when Aiden looked in the other direction, when he heard Marcus lightly laughing.

Aiden looked from Marcus, then to Zendaya, and saw a warm smile on her face as she looked at him.

"Oh sweety, you don't have to worry, they're perfectly fine. He's not going to hurt her, they're mates. Xander would never hurt her." She said in a soft sweet voice.

The kind look on her face, and the gentle smile made Aiden smile back.

As Thaddeus looked at Aiden, he suddenly had a brilliant idea. He knew Aiden had not been outside since they rescued him. So he turned to Aiden, placing his hand on his knee and giving a gentle squeeze to get his attention.

"How do you feel about going outside with me? We could go for a run together, let our wolves out." Thaddeus asked, and watched Aiden's face light up.

It almost seemed as if his eyes were shining, and the biggest smile spreads across Aiden's face.

Seeing Aiden's reaction, had two different effects on Thaddeus. It made him happy, to see his face light up the way it did. But it also made him sad, and he couldn't figure out why, until Aiden spoke.

"Really, y-you'd let me go outside?" Aiden said, and Thaddeus was a little shocked by his words. He knew Aiden was abused, but what he just said made it sound as if he had never been allowed outside. That thought angered Thaddeus. He didn't want to get upset in front of Aiden, so he pushed that thought away, and smiled back at him.

"Of course sweetheart, you're not a prisoner here." Thaddeus said, softly.

"So what do you say, wanna go for a run?" Thaddeus asked, with a little playfulness.

Aiden quickly nodded his head fast, causing Thaddeus to chuckle and reach up to ruffle his hair.

"Come on, let's go then."

Aiden hopped out of his seat, with a bounce in his step as he followed Thaddeus.

Aiden was so excited. He couldn't believe Thaddeus was allowing him to go outside. That was something he was never allowed to do with his old Alpha.

When he wasn't in the basement, he would look out the window whenever he could and dream, and wish for a day when he could go outside, and let his wolf run free.

The only time his wolf was ever able to run free, was when they escaped. Before that, it was only when his wolf actually had enough strength to shift, that he would, and allow winter to walk around and stretch his legs in the basement, where no one else could see them.

But it wasn't very often, since Aiden was constantly struggling for strength, and to heal from wounds. This meant winter had to work overtime with no fuel from food to help heal Aiden. Because of this, it made it that much harder for winter to heal Aiden.

Winter usually put all of his energy into healing, this meant he didn't have enough for himself. He would pretty much have to hibernate in the back of Aiden's head, after healing, to try and regain enough strength to either be able to shift to stretch his legs, or to heal Aiden from the next beating.

And, nine times out of ten, that small amount of regained energy would have to be used to heal aiden again. This made it very rare for them to shift for winter to stretch his legs and walk around the basement.

But every time he did, you would have thought he just won a prize. You would have thought the poor wolf was running free in the woods, because he was so excited, and thankful that he was actually able to do that one little thing. Simply walk around with on own four legs in a basement, feeling only the cement under his paws, instead of the earth, for a short time.

Aiden could feel winter's excitement, he was yipping in his head. Practically prancing around inside there at the very thought of being able to run free, and not from being chased.

The idea of running with his mate, and finally seeing Zeus, face to face had winter beyond excited.

Aiden was so excited, he could barely contain himself, that was until he finally made it outside.

Once outside, the smile quickly fell from his face as he looked around terrified.

This didn't go unnoticed, Thaddeus looked over once outside, and watched the smile drop from Aiden's face. He saw his eyes darting around as he looked at everyone outside.

For some reason, Aiden didn't anticipate seeing people outside. And once he did, he was terrified as he looked at each person, afraid someone might see him and come for him. That someone might hurt him.

He shuffled closer to Thaddeus. He got a little too close and Thaddeus almost ran his foot over with the wheelchair.

The incident caused Aiden to stumble and fall forward. Thaddeus reached down and picked Aiden up, placing him on his lap. Wanting to hold him, and chase away all his fears.

Aiden's eyes go wide in surprise. His arms go around Thaddeus's neck to balance himself. His cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Embarrassed that he made a fool of himself, and fell. He hid his face in Thaddeus's chest as if trying to disappear.

Thaddeus chuckled at his cute reaction. He thought Aiden was beyond adorable, hiding his face against his chest.

Thaddeus wrapped his arms around Aiden as he chuckled, then leaned down and kissed the top of his head, before continuing toward the tree line

Thaddeus couldn't get over how absolutely adorable Aiden was as he sat in his lap. He had his arms wrapped around Thaddeus's neck, clinging to him as he rolled them toward the tree line in his wheelchair.

Aiden kept his face buried in Thaddeus's chest, but every now and then, he would lift his face away slightly, and look around. But as soon as he noticed anyone looking at him, he would quickly hide his face in Thaddeus's chest again.

'Goddess he's so cute!' Thaddeus thought, then pressed another kiss to the top of his head again, just before entering the tree line.

Once pass the tree line, Thaddeus went to the spot he normally shifts. It's a small little clearing, maybe the size of a small bedroom.

Thaddeus stopped, locking his wheelchair in place, before wrapping his arms around Aiden again. He gives a gentle squeeze, running his hands along Aiden's back and leaning his cheek against Aiden's head for a moment before releasing him.

"Come on sweetheart, let's go ahead and shift here." Thaddeus said.

When Aiden lifted his face from Thaddeus's chest, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment when he finally realized he was sitting on Thaddeus's lap.

He slowly stood up, looking around for a moment, before spotting a tree he liked then walked behind it to shift.

As Aiden went behind the tree to shift, Thaddeus took his clothes off, folding everything, then sticking it on the seat behind him, before pushing himself forward, and in one swift motion, shifting and landing an all four paws.

Zeus shook his fur out before turning around and freezing stunned. Zeus and Thaddeus's heart literally skipped a beat, and their breath was taken from them when their eyes landed on their beautiful mate.

Aiden's wolf, slowly peaked out from behind the tree before stepping out from behind it.

Thaddeus was in complete awe as he looked at the most stunning wolf he had ever seen in his entire life.

Aiden's wolf was pure white, with the brightest sparkling blue eyes he had ever seen. They were so blue and sparkly, they almost looked as though they were glowing.

It took Thaddeus a moment to break out of his frozen state, and pick his jaw off the ground.

Zeus slowly started walking towards Aiden as his wolf stood there looking down, but stealing glances at Zeus.

Once Zeus was close enough, he nuzzled against Aiden's wolf. Pressing his snout against Winter's neck.

Winter melted against Zeus's touch, than pressed his snout against Zeus and nuzzled him back.

As Zeus nuzzled Aiden's wolf, Winter suddenly dropped his front end down to the ground, keeping his butt in the air as he wagged his tail Playfully.

Winter had never played with anyone before. And seeing his mate, Zeus for the first time made him want to play more than ever.

Zeus and Thaddeus thought Aiden's wolf was beyond adorable as he wagged his tail Playfully.

Zeus gave a playful movement, pretending to move forward quickly, but not actually moving. A psych. That was all the signal Winter needed, and he quickly took off running, with Zeus following right behind him.
