This round will last from Friday C.S.T. till Thursday C.S.T.⚠️

Welcome back. During the break, we put out a club survey. We want to thank those that filled out the survey. Your feedback about the club helps us to make the decisions we need to.

And with that being said, major changes have been made.

Please read over them so that you are aware of how the club is working.

major changes:

1. We're switching to a bi-weekly round system. Rounds will still end on Thursday at 11 pm CST and new rounds will still begin on Fridays, but it will be every other week now.

2. The new assignments for a bi-weekly round will be as followed, 2 chapters per partner per bi-weekly round and one chapter for BOTW(now called the round Headliner). This is a total of 5 chapters in two weeks. (Sounds like a lot but it is actually less than the current workload with a weekly round.)

3. The monthly break week will be switched to a quarterly(every 3 months) two-week break.

4. We are keeping notes for this first quarter/3 months, but if no one/hardly anyone uses them, they'll be removed.

5. Notes are being simplified from 0-3 notes to just 1. Admins are to be stricter in what they deem as "quality" feedback. But because we are still keeping the QOTW (now called the round question or jam question) we will accept good feedback with the addition of the round question being answered as noteworthy. So basically, amazing feedback gets a note, or good feedback plus the round question gets a note.

Again, that's:

Amazing feedback = 1 music note

or

Good feedback + answering the round question = 1 music note

6. We are getting rid of the mini-quiz.

7. We are getting rid of the graphics shop.

8. The review shop will remain open but only partially active unless we get review volunteers. A few founders can do a few reviews in exchange for music notes but they can't do many which is why volunteers are for the review shop to work. If no one volunteers to be a reviewer, the review shop will be removed. Or if we get volunteers but the review book still doesn't receive any requests, we're getting rid of the review book.

9. We're getting rid of Jam Idol status. This means everyone is now eligible for the Headliner (formerly BOTW) lottery with the exception of trial members, and everyone can cash in their notes once they've collected enough for the prize(s) they want.

10. We are getting rid of the following three prizes currently offered in exchange for notes: shoutouts from the founders, shoutouts from the Jam Fest social media accounts, and a free graphic from the graphics shop.

11. Since some prizes have been removed, the total notes required for some prizes have been changed just a little. All the prizes cost either 2, 4, 6, or 8 notes.

12. We are adding a new prize to the list. For 5 notes, you can bypass the headliner (formerly BOTW) this pize can only be able to be used once every two months though.

- due to the new bi-weekly schedule the title of BOTW has been changed to Headliner and the QOTW has been changed to round question or jam question. This means when answering the round question, the new hashtag that should be used is

- trial periods for new members will still be a total of two rounds which means 4 weeks all together now.

- when asking for a break, you can still only request 4 weeks which is now only 2 rounds.

ONC has started. We want to remind the ONC participants that there is a Discord channel where you can go and encourage each other and use the writing bot. You can also leave links to your ONC books there to share with others.

When leaving your done comment you MUST tag your admin. Not doing so could earn you a strike and sitting out a round to clear that strike.

We're not trying to be hard asses or mean in any way. But without those tags, your admin could miss your done comment and if they do and you've already been struck/removed from the round, we are not going back into the round to add you. And if you've done this more than once or make it a habit, even if we see your comment, we'll have you sit out a round. A good chunk of you have been in the book club scene long enough to know how this goes, and if you can't make the effort to help us out by tagging, then we won't make the effort to include you in every round. Help us and we'll help you, simple!

To answer the round question, you can either attach it to your end chapter comment with the tag #JamQuestion next to it or you can create a separate comment with the tag #JamQuestion. No matter which you choose, the tag must be included so your admin can identify it apart from your end-chapter comment.
