《Whimsical Invitations》Identity

I'm a Fillipino man,

I'm not that pretty,

College education,

Could never stand university,

I'm poor,

But I act like I'm rich,

Worked with computers for a while,

It was interesting at first,

But it grew to be boring,

Throughout,

My curiosity for fiction grew,

My writing, the stories I followed,

They continued to progress,

Then god moved me,

In some way,

Before life happened,

It resolved in my head,

Then, in some way,

Life began to demand,

Work,

Art,

It began to demand the price,

For being who I am,

The result of my choices,

Psychosis moved me,

The heavens moved me,

And as they stretched me,

As the pulled me and tested me,

It began to extract poetry,

From the world,

From history,

From myth,

From fantasy,

From reality,

Like the blood that flows in my veins,

It ran its course through me,

In its reflection, a piece of me,

Before it was birthed into the world once more.

And as the universe exists,

As what composes this world exists,

And as I saw my reflection it,

I can only say,

To my dearly beloved,

My self,

You were sort of beautiful.
