《A Dance With Death》Magic System Explanation (Spoilers)

Magic System:
Lvl 0 = Mortal
Mana cells: Stores mana (Like a battery) - Below Sternum - Infinitely small
Levels
Vapour Liquid (1% capacity = 10% of vapour) Dust (1% capacity = 10% of Liquid) Dimension (Enough space for one person → Size of a Dutchy - People, animals, and plants can live within) (Begining = 10% of Dust) Integration (Bringing the mana cell into the real world → The kings/emperors of the world each trying to expand their territory + This level stops aging) (Begining = 10% of Dimension) Advancement: Once you reach 100% capacity for your level (You start a 1%) you can allow mana from the outside to rush into your body and strengthen the mana cell walls. If too much is stored inside without it being redirected to the mana cell walls or dissipated to the outside you will explode and die. You become weaker after advancing until you return to 10% capacity (dangerous time) You can absorb other people's mana cells immediately after death (50% max effectiveness - the longer after death the less you get) → Spell instability, need to be purified via long-term mana circulation or pills. Due to the long-term side effects, this method is rarely used unless the person needs to rapidly become stronger. 1% Vapour can shoot a singular air bullet Unless absorbed after death the dimensional mana cells settle in the real world as an invisible portal (A point in space)
Mana Channels: Mana usage - Mana refill rate (veins) and spell power (arteries)
Levels
Basic - Major veins + arteries (Limbs and head) Moderate - Normal veins + arteries Complex - Venues + Arterioles Labyrinth - Capillaries Complete - Whole-body Advancement: Channel mana into creating new veins and arteries over time. Mana channels are separate from the circulator system. You can absorb other peoples mana (Can be voluntary from a living person or from the dead (Dissipates from the dead body over time)) Not instantaneous, its speed depends on the person's mana channels, but faster nonetheless due to increased mana concentration. Almost instantaneous if voluntarily given. The closer the person is to the other person’s mana cell the quicker they can absorb the mana.
Body Cultivation: Use mana or magic beast materials (can speed up the process due to law fragments) to break down the body and reforge it.
Bronze Iron Titanium Adamasium Invictium Muscles Bones Organs Allows the body to withstand stronger spells and improves durability, strength, and speed. Particularly important for physical combatants.
Soul Power: Mental attacks (Break their mind, interrupt thoughts/spells) + Enslavement (Human, Beast, or Law Fragments (LF))
Levels
Nascent (can control 1(beginning) - 10(end) of the weakest LF) Developing (can control 1(beginning) - 10(end) of the weakest lvl 2 LF or 10-100 lvl 1’s Transitioning (can control 1(beginning) - 10(end) of the weakest lvl 3 LF or 10-100 lvl 2’s or 100-1000 lvl 1’s Developed (can control 1(beginning) - 10(end) of the weakest lvl 4 LF or 10-100 lvl 3’s or 100-1000 lvl 2’s or 1000-10000 lvl 1’s Evolved (can control 1 of the weakest Lvl 5 LF(beginning) - all(end) Constant use of soul power to control another being/law fragment If too much Soul power is in use it makes it easier for someone to carry out mental attacks. Generally, humans take more soul power to control than beasts due to their increased intelligence Takes the equivalent amount of soul power as the other person's total soul power to control them To develop soul power one must go through hardships and gain an understanding of the world and one's own mind or absorb other lifeforms' souls. Unless a soul wants to cease to exist or it is destroyed, it will continue to exist in the world invisible to mortal eyes. You can absorb other peoples/lifeforms souls to improve your own power, but it will taint yours and lead to physiological illnesses (changing/split personality) (Certain methods can filter these out with time) Integrate other souls for information. Increased soul power improves mental faculty + multitasking abilities.

Runes: Runes are coordinates that point to law fragments allowing them to borrow their power.
Levels
Lvl 1 Lvl 2 Lvl 3 Lvl 4 Lvl 5 To use magic you need to imagine different runes within your mana cell - Can be combined and different combinations/ordering (even of the same runes) can lead to different effects. The runes need to be infused with mana to show effects. Words can be used to describe runes and the mana of the world will react allowing for the use of weak spells (unless the environment is saturated with high levels of mana) by individuals without mana cells/mana channels. Runes can be inscribed into the mind with mana (A very painful process) for the quick casting of more complex spells. Runes can also be inscribed onto the body, but it is not as common. Magical tattoos (runes) can be created with magical materials (Usually from magical beasts/plants) Allows for the one-time use of a spell without mana input. (consumes the tattoo) Often trump cards to be used as a last resort. Materials must be matched to the correct runes Runes can be inscribed into weapons to grant them powers (mana must be infused from the wielder unless the weapon is of higher quality and has runes attached for natural mana absorption (lvl 4 runes) + artificial mana channels to direct the mana to the other runes) Tattoos can also be applied to objects such as weapons Runes can be inscribed into objects to create magical tech, however, mana must be constantly imputed from a person (e.g water heating) Artificial mana channels and mana cells can be created, but they are high-level constructs (Lvl 4 runes) and most people do not have access to them. Runecrafters create runes for money.
Law Fragments: Physical manifestation of the forces and rules of the world. (Mana is raw power - Law Fragments transform that energy into a tangible form)
Risk class Danger Class Disaster Class Catastrophy Class Cataclysm Class Weaker laws come in the form of smaller creatures such as insects Stronger ones can become dragons, phoenixes, and various other legendary creatures The world will keep the manifestation of the laws balanced with what happens in the real world, killing or creating wild law fragments if necessary. (E.g if a fragment is killed it will most likely reappear somewhere else) The planet has its own basic conscience that regulates the world seeking balance. Wild law fragments usually listen to the whims of the planet, as it has the power to destroy them whenever it deems necessary, but the planet rarely interferes. When the world was created all fragments were of the same power, but more prevalent laws had more duplicates Over time, different laws merged becoming more powerful and creating different powers. Fragments usually focus on a singular collection of laws E.g. death, life, light, darkness, heat, cold, poisons e.t.c. Fragments do not have mana cells as they absorb mana from the planet (Unlimited) Through soul power, you can control law fragments and they will live in your mana cell. They create more powerful spells as it cuts out the middleman that are runes. They still require mana to use. To keep them under your control it consumes soul power at a constant rate. This can kill you (Your soul will not even survive) if you do not replenish your soul power at a fast enough rate. Law fragments can follow a person if their personality matches its character/law. Doesn’t use soul power It can be unreliable and follows its own whims e.g it won’t hurt a person it likes. It can change master if it finds someone more suitable or if your character changes not to its liking. The more powerful a fragment the more complex a personality it forms. Laws can suppress lower levels of similar laws. Lawcrafters create new laws by merging laws. It is a dangerous process that can backfire if the laws are incompatible → volatile reactions and/or the death of the laws.

Bloodlines: An individual can insert beast blood into their body to become stronger, to use the beast blood to its full capabilities one must integrate it.
Base (Increases a person's base abilities such as speed, strength, sight, e.t.c) Partial (Can transform small parts of their body that of a beast) Moderate (Although their size does not change from that of a human, they can transform half of their body to that of a beast) High (They can transform ¾ of their body, and can become ½ the size of the beast) Complete (Can fully transform into that beast and the bloodline now becomes hereditary - only one bloodline will be passed down to progeny [This can be a hybrid bloodline e.g a wolf with the eyes of an eagle, claws of a cat, and scales of a crocodile. The child will only be able to transform into that new creature and not its independent constituents]) When injecting beast blood it is recommended to mix it with various herbs (particularly those with life-related law fragments) to prevent improper absorption and integration. If absorption goes wrong one can become a demi-human with limited rationality, murderous inclinations, and/or insanity. Beats bloodlines will grant their physical attributes to the human One can absorb another person’s bloodlines by consuming their flesh and extracting the bloodlines from it. Considered an evil practice Herbs once again reduce the chance of failure If you have too many unintegrated bloodlines or if absorption goes wrong, you have a higher chance of losing your mind or your body rejecting the beast's blood in a violent reaction that often results in death. Nobility places a large emphasis on bloodlines and selects marriages accordingly. People can graft body parts onto themselves Will face rejection until integration basic is complete To prevent rejection take pills + supply mana to the tissue junction. Grafts have the same 5 levels of integration as bloodlines, once finished the body part can change between human and beast form. Most won’t as it is an inferior method unless they lose a limb that cannot heal or they find a high-quality body part. However, this method does not affect the mind.
Magic bests: Beasts with magical abilities
Risk class Danger Class Disaster Class Catastrophy Class Cataclysm Class Law fragments can seek protection and fuse into beasts mutating them into magical beasts. Some of the power of the fragment will be transferred to the magical beast's offspring weakening them. Cooperative relationship unlike with humans who dominate Law fragments Law fragments prefer more powerful beats as hosts Humans can form friendships with more friendly magical beasts or form magical pacts with them. Magical pacts are binding contracts and will enact punishment when the stipulated terms are breached Intelligence varies from animal to human-level intelligence. Humans can also enslave magical beasts with soul power. More powerful magical beats can command weaker ones of the same species. E.g. Alpha wolfs in a pack.
Skills: E.g Sword, Spear, archery, strategy

Nevertheless, A Fantasy World
Aldieas, a world where five races exist in harmony namely, the Humans, Vasters, Serensis, Oreals, and the Alpsis. Before, this world was bathed in a gruesome bloodbath because of countless war between the races that created their own kingdoms. The lack of progress of the Era earned the disapproval of the God who created the world resulting in sending thirteen Demon Lords to dominate the world and erase any existing races. As the five races fell into despair, they summoned a hero as last resort to fight off the Demon Lords. The hero that was summoned, a lone man, has brought hope and salvation to everyone. Eventually, the hero defeated the Demon Lords but because of what he witnessed about this world, he himself becomes dismayed and chose isolation. Thousand of years has passed and the world has reached a new Era. Right then, the Hero decided to check on things. Author's Note: Do think that this is extremely similar to my other story settings. It's slightly r-15 but I guarantee that any explicit will be tone down. Further emphasis on the story genre will be updated soon.
