Like the way the trees reach up to the sky,
My heart reaches out to you.
Will you take my hand and kiss me like the sun?
The sun gave you warmth,
But your heart wavered back and forth.
You waited too long and now my love went cold.
Like the snow on the ground, my heart glossed over with secrets untold.
I knew there was so much more,
So how can you leave me here and act like I was such a bore?
You left me out in the snow so freezing,
Your back turned, our string of fate just teasing.
Once it snapped,
I knew there was no going back.
Love is only a dream of the past.
What a shame you'll never know the depths of the ocean or the space so vast.
These things, my love has surpassed.
