《Protected by BTS》Chapter 57: Two Victims

The first set of boys to run through the hospital doors were Yoongi and Namjoon. Reaching the front desk, Yoongi pleaded, "Where's the Emergency Room?!"
The nurse, accustomed to such urgency, merely pointed in the direction before Namjoon and Yoongi sprinted. As they ran through the halls, they stopped upon seeing Jimin on one of the stretchers being pushed.
"Jiminie?!" Namjoon yelled as he and Yoongi came to his side and he was barely conscious. An oxygen mask was placed over his face as he lazily looked up at his hyungs, "Gwenchana, gwenchana." Jimin removed his mask for a second then coughed dryly. The doctor had forcibly placed it back on his face as they wheeled him into a new patient room.
"We'll need to do a few more tests, but our preliminary examinations show he'll be just fine. His respiration rate is improving and he only has first degree burns." The doctor explained as nurses started to hook needles into Jimin's body and set up the charts beside his bed.
"As for the other young man, he also suffered harsh first degree burns. But they are very minimal. He will need rest and will be put on a nasal canula until his oxygen saturation returns to above 94%. But he is also showing great signs of improvement. They are very lucky. I heard from the fire marshal that it was a big fire." doctor explained. "I believe the other young man is just getting out of the examination rooms so you may look for him."
"Thank you, doctor. What about the other patient?" Yoongi replied.
The doctor was dumbfounded, but before he could reply, another gurney was wheeled in. This time, Seokjin, Taehyung, and Hoseok had joined and already found Jungkook.
"Aish, why are you always the one who gets hurt huh?" Hoseok frowned in concerning annoyance for Jungkook.

"Golden Maknae of everything. You're the best at everything, especially getting hurt. Should you be the new god of destruction?" Seokjin chuckled as Jungkook's bed was placed next to Jimin's and the nurses started to poke needles into him and start his charts.
"No~ Jungkookie is just reckless. It's cause he's a baby. You can easily tell he's just a '97 liner." Hoseok replied.
Jungkook wanted to retort, but had no energy to. He kept his mask on and reveled in the feeling the oxygen mask was giving to his deprived body.
"Where's MiSun-ah?" Taehyung piped up, noticing she wasn't in the room.
The boys collectively looked at the doctor and put him in an awkward position. "I-uhm," he started and immediately the boys' heart sank. "I'm sorry to tell you this, but we were only informed of two surviving victims from the fire."
Two more men entered the hospital room, dressed as police officers. "Can we interview the victims, doctor?"
The doctor nodded before sharing a sad smile and leaving. "I'm going to have to ask you all to leave." One of the officers said as he motioned for the door. One by the one, the boys grumpily walked out of the room.
Closing the door, the officers started their investigation. "Some bodies we had already recovered from the scene seem to have died before the fire. Some include gun shot wounds so would either of you care to explain to corroborate your stories."
"My dongsaengs and I were just messing around while on a walk." Jimin said slowly. "The warehouse is just old and creepy but the scenery around it is quite nice. We were around the area when we heard a commotion so," he paused to cough, "we went to check. When we got inside, we got separated when the fire broke out. We don't know anything about the people or the building.

Wah~ thats kind of scary to think about. They were probably gangsters or criminals Jungkookie!" Jimin acted very well and hid a smile. Then he went into another fit of coughs before returning his oxygen mask back to his face.
The police officers took note of what he said and actually believed him. "We'll check your stories. But for now, get well." They said before leaving. The officers went to the waiting room where the rest of the boys had gone.
"You may go back inside. We'll keep in contact if we need any more information. Thank you for cooperating. We'll get going first." They said as they walked away.
The boys nodded before standing up intent on going back to the room. "I'll get us something to drink." Hoseok parted from the group. "Oh, see if there's any Chilsung Cider." Taehyung asked as he and the rest of the members retreated back to the room.
Hobi went to the nearest vending machine and knew what each member might want plus Taehyung's Chilsung Cider. With bottles of drinks in his hands, Hobi struggled to not drop them as he walked back to the room.
While turning the hallway, a running figure from the opposite end had crashed into him, making him spill his drinks. "My apologies!" The doctor quickly got up and didn't bother to say any more.
Hoseok was slightly annoyed, but understood that this was a hospital and the doctor probably had somewhere urgent to go. He followed the doctor with his eyes and watched as a gurney from the outside was brought in.
"Another burn victim was found near the debris." And that's all it took for Hoseok to scramble to stand up and run to the patient.
"Body was found near the debris. She must have barely made it out and the explosion threw her body, which was why we didn't see her initially." The paramedics explained. Hoseok ran to the gurney and recognized the face underneath all the black soot.
"Misun-ah!" He yelled before being pushed away by a nurse. "Sir, please step aside and let us do our job. We'll find you when you can see her." They rushed off into one of the examination rooms as Hoseok was left in the hallway with the drinks still scattered on the floor.
He had completely forgotten about them and ran to the rest of the members. They looked puzzled at his happy face during such a time, but before they could ask, he responded. "They found Misun."

The Badboy Prince Just Can't Resist
"Why are you so nervous?" "I'm not.""Your pupils dilate every time you look at me. What are you so worried about, sweetheart?" He asks me, his warm breath fanning my ear. I rolled my eyes, and he took that as a response. "Why are you so afraid of me, Annalise?""I'm not," I repeated in a firm tone, trying to stop my body's temptation of leaning into his touch. "Then why can't you think properly while so close to me?" Damien's lips were now grazing my ear. His strong arms expertly pull me in, arms crossed around my waist ready to spin me back out. I despised the way he made me feel when we would dance, as if I liked being under his lead- it infuriated me. "I can think just fine." I spin myself back out, trying to take control. He chuckled,"This is why I find you so intriguing. You want to resist me, and I haven't found somebody like that before. It's quite frustrating, having someone who doesn't bend to my will."The nerve of this man!I scowled,"I'm not just going to follow your every command. Being a Prince doesn't mean you gain-""I could give you anything. A title or land, and any other girl-""I'm not just 'another girl' who will bend to your standards. I don't have time to pamper your ego as if you own the school.""In fact, I do. Thank you for reminding me sweetheart, sometimes I forget." Arrogance laced his tone, sending my fury into overdrive."I am nobody's sweetheart, especially not yours."His laugh sent vibrations through my body,"You have never failed to amuse me. I think we should get to know each other better." I felt his lips against my ear curl into a sly smirk.~*~*~*~*~*~*~*Cover by @afranticdreamer#4 romance #1 royal 9-29-2020#1 kingdom 3-30-2020#3 king 4-3-2020#1 princess 4-13-2020#1 new 5-14-2020-All rights reserved -Kick back and enjoy a book with a little bit of mystery, magic, humor, and don't forget romance

Lost souls, will be rewritten soon. (Old version)
In a world where mages stand above the peasants, the nobles, and the law, it is not surprising that everyone wants to learn magic. Five siblings from a village in the middle of nowhere felt the same. Unfortunately, a dragon brought ruin to their home, eventually cornering the five blood brothers. Luz, the eldest brother, ignored the warnings of his ancestors for the sake of their survival. Using an ancient teleportation spell, he and his siblings were sucked into a portal leading to God-knows-where. In a foreign place far from home, Luz carries the burden of disobeying his ancestors and losing his younger brothers. He sets off to reunite his siblings and slay the dragon that destroyed their village while only being equipped with one useless space spell that drains all his mana after one usage. Author's note: English isn't my first language and this is the first novel I tried writing, which is why some of the earlier chapters aren't that good, even though I grew better over time. I'm still in the phase of editing a lot of my earlier chapters. But unfortunately, I haven't yet found any time for it. Daily updates are to be expected till we reach chapter 100. If your comment motivates me, I might upload up to five chapters.^^
