《Doki Doki Lesbian Club》Chapter 44 - The change
Advertisement
A few weeks had passed, and small changes had gradually flooded the doki doki literature club, or more specifically, just one thing had changed. Monika.
The changes began small, usually going unnoticed by the dokis until it seemed as if Monika had almost completely disappeared from their lives.
Monika gradually stopped walking with Yuri, Natsuki, and Sayori between lessons, what was once a rare occurance because "her teacher" told her to stay behind became a complete absence with next to no excuse. However, coincidentally, as soon as Monika did, the bullies too seemed to disappear. No one bothered Sayori anymore, and everyone who stood by and did nothing could no longer look her in eye.
Each of the girls began to notice the changes...
Natsuki noticed Monika forgot about mandatory poem sharing one day, only remembering when Natsuki went to monika to apologise and ask for more time since she forgot.
Monika seemed genuinely surprised and tried to act like she didn't forget, but her brief, confused expression gave it away. This happened more time went by, and things got worse.
Sayori realised Monika didn't message or socialise as much as she used to, just focused on her work quietly by her desk, sometimes even purposefully avoiding talking or hanging out with them because she was "busy". Monika even avoided Sayoris hugs after some time.
Yuri started to see monikas once very neat and straightened appearance shrivel up bit by bit. Starting with bags forming under her eyes, her hair being down instead of in her usual tidy ponytail and Monikas uniform buttons being partially undone every now and then.
But then one day she came to the club after seemingly disappearing off the face of the earth for the whole day, without her tie, shirt untucked, skirt incredibly crinckled, with her her down. A complete reversal of her usual appearance. Monika gave no excuse and bretended nothing was happening.
"Monika for fuck sake stop lying! Look at yourself you fucking idiot!!!" Yelled Natsuki slamming her hands down on monikas desk angrily, Yuri quickly pulled natsuki away to hopefully de-escalate the situation.
"N-Natsuki no! That's not the way you talk to your friends!" Said Yuri, holding back her hot tempered girlfriend.
"You can't be fucking serious right now!! Monika your a mess!!!" Shouted Natsuki as she began to squabble and argue between yuri, who wanted her to calm down, and monika who was doing her best to brush the subject aside.
"Nothing is wrong, I've just been busy with the extra cram school work my teachers give me, along with student council duties I can't put off! Can you all please drop it?!" Pleaded Monika.
Sayori felt a worldwide of emotions, confusion, betrayal, sadness, anger and sometimes even a little relief.
She was relieved that even though Monika had been clearly trying to stick a wedge between their friendship, sayori could still read Monikas signs and understand her true emotions, even though she was trying her best to hide them.
Sayori could see Monikas small and almost unnoticed fidgeting gestures she does whenever she's nervous, like running her fingers through her hair or fixing her sleeves. She was using her fake smile, which was very obvious thanks to the exhaustion painted clearly all over her face.

"Moni, we're here for you if you need us." Bluntly said Sayori, interrupting everyone causing all their eyes to land on her as she looked Monika dead in the eye, expressing her sadness through them which slightly shifted monikas expression to one of guilt and shock, before walking away and dragging Natsuki and Yuri with her.
"Sayori..." Whispered Monika, completely unaudible as she watched her friends walk away to the other side of the room. Monika sighed and pulled out her phone from her skirts pocket that she had been holding onto as tightly as possible to silence the sound of all the message vibrations emanating for the device.
She looked in disgust as she saw who it was and what they wanted.
Monika shut her eyes tightly in frustration, holding back tears, before abruptly getting up and getting her things ready.
"I'm leaving early, I'll leave the keys hear so you guys can-" "so we can close the classroom blah blah blah, yeah we know, miss club president who can't even stay throughout her own god damn club!" Snapped and interrupted Natsuki before getting punched in each shoulder by Yuri and Sayori.
"Don't worry, Moni, we'll take care of it! Don't worry!" Said Sayori in a semi positive tone.
"Y-Yeah, you go do what you have to do!" Said Yuri, putting her hand over Natsukis' mouth to stop any more snarky remarks.
Monika clenched her jaw at her friends kindness, unable to speak as she just smiled and nodded before leaving.
Tears began to fill her eyes the further away she got.
'Why...why does she have to call me moni like that...?' Thought Monika as tears began to roll down her cheeks.
She covered her face with her hands and paused for a moment, trying to wipe them away, only for someone to tightly grab her arm and pull her into a dark room.
Monikas shock and blurry vision left her unable to react as the culprit pinner her against a wall with her hands either side of her head, prying them away from monikas face, leaving the tears trickling down with nothing to resist their fall.
"Wowie, I didn't think you'd miss me so much that you'd start crying~" Teased Rose as she leaned in and began kissing up Monikas neck to her cheeks, where she began licking away the tears.
Monika shivered in disgust and pried her hands free before shoving Rose away and wiping her face clean.
"Rose! We've talked about this!!! Not without my permission!!!!" Yelled Monika. Rose just scoffed and rolled her eyes.
"Whatever." Said rose as she walked away and sat on a nearby table opposite Monika.
"You're my girlfriend, I know you enjoy it." Confidently said Rose with a smirk as she opened her legs and beckoned Monika towards her with a gesture.
Monika complied and walked closer, Rose grabbed her and pulled Monika close so she was standing between her legs with their bodies touching. Monikas' whole body stiffened.
"I need you to kneel~" whispered Rose as she guided Monikas hand under her skirt where Monika realised Rose wasn't waring any underwear.

"Rose...were at school..." Said Monika trying to pull away from Rose, only for her grip to tighten to the point Monikas skin could tear.
"That's never stopped us before~" said Rose as she began to try and push Monika down.
"I-I don't want to..." Said Monika only to feel a stinging sensation on her cheek as Rose slapped her.
"It's either this, or I do worse to your friends." Angrily whispered Rose as she grabbed Monika by the collar and pulled her close.
Monika closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"Yes..." Said Monika in a monotone voice with an emotionless expression.
"Yes, what?" Smirked Rose as she leaned back a bit.
"Yes...mistress...." Said Monika as she kneeled down.
It wasn't long before Roses's moans filled the room with Monikas head between her legs, doing things just how she liked them, but only because Monika was desperately trying to make this end as quickly as possible so she could leave this hell.
Rose would do nothing but tightly grip and pull monikas hair, causing her nothing but pain the whole time, until she had enough and would harshly push or kick Monika away.
"Amazing as usual, moni~" Purred Rose as she pat Monika on the head and collected her belongings from the room and walked away, leaving Monika alone on the floor.
"I look forward to doing this again tomorrow~" said Rose as she slammed the door behind her.
Monika stayed like that on the floor, looking at the door, waiting in utter silence and darkness for a long time, until she was sure Rose was gone, before her head dropped to the floor, her eyes blurry with tears, her head pounding in pain, her mind blurry until the situation caught up with her like it always did. Monika rushed to the bin inside the dark classroom and vomited, her suppressed emotions of disgust and unwant flooding all her senses.
Gasping for air between her sobs and gags, Monika could hear Roses voice ringing in her ears, mocking her by stealing Sayoris nickname, the word moni maliciously repeating over and over again in her head.
She was alone, and she was hurt.
The world began to shrink and spiral around her as breathing became almost impossible. Until a sound broke through the chaos.
A song.
A song Monika immediately recognised.
She scanned the room and saw her bag, slightly vibrating.
Monika rushed towards it, ripping out her phone from the side pocket of her bag and answering it as quickly as her shaking body would let her.
"Hallo..?" said Monika.
"Hey Moni! I got home safely! I wanted to check and see if you did, too! Oh, and you'll never guess what i just found!" Joyfully said Sayori in her usual adorable tone Monika loved.
"Haha, yes! I got home safely. What did you find?" Lied Monika as she layed her back down onto the floor, listening intently to every word Sayori spoke, the world seemingly brightening up with each one, her heart and soul feeling lighter and happier
They talked for hours, catching up on their favourite books, shows, classes...everything they hadn't been able to say to each other over the last several weeks, thanks to Rose forcing Monika to keep her distance. Only briefly paused when a janitor found moninka and ordered her to leave before continuing to talk immediately afterwards until Monika actually got home.
"Hehe, no fricken way! I never knew people thought that! But it makes sense! What if the tree from Bugs Life is actually the same one that grew from the shoe plant in Wall-Es end credit pictures??" Said Sayori excitedly.
"I know! The crazy theories people come up with are crazy! In brave, there's a wood carving of Sully from monsters ink in the witches shop, and people think she's boo, who uses the same time travelling door technology as the monsters! But she accidentally got stuck in the past rather than going to the future where Sully is!" Exietedly said Monika.
"That makes sense!! The door closes in that one scene, and then she clicks her fingers, and then the room changes!" Gasped Sayori.
"Yeah! It just makes sense when you think about it!" Said Monika.
"But that means all of Pixars movies are connected and in the same world??" Said Sayori.
"That's how the theory goes, yes!" Smiled Monika as she lay down on her bed.
"I have to go eat dinner with my family now, Moni. I can't wait to see you and hang out tomorrow!"Said Sayori, secretly hiding her nervousness as she tightly gripped her shirt waiting for Monikas' response.
Monika also blurted out that she also couldn't wait to hang out, but Roses orders rang through her head like a loud, painful bell, and a silence quickly fell between the two.
"Sayori...I...I-I don't know if..." Said Monika, unable to bring herself to finish the sentence.
Sayori sighed and bit her lip in sadness, unable to understand why Monika was fine when they talked over the phone, but seemed to hate being around her in public.
"It's fine. You probably have work to do." Said Sayori bitterly as she hung up the phone and threw it on the other side of the bed, berrying her face in her pillows, screaming in frustration.
Monikas phone slowly slipped out of her hand as she heard the phone call end. She tightly closed her eyes, trying not to cry again.
Just then, hundreds of notifications appeared on Monikas phone as Rose was trying to contact her for hours.
Monika took a deep breath and picked up her phone before having more terrible calls and conversations with Rose for the rest of the evening, deep into the night.

As he clings to the only memories he has left, he is forced to fight through a world of brutal blood thirsty monsters, dungeons, and a complex magic system governed by an ancient agreement. First time writing any sort of story. Everything is still a work in progress. As I improve on my writing I will go back and edit parts. Early chapters are subject to change as I grow my ability. I am going to try my best to write this world and improve as I go. My goal is to make my dream come to life through the medium of text. This is why I wanted to post it here. Feel free to comment, and bring constructive criticism. Hope you enjoy! More info (Spoiler warning): only read if you are picky, read a lot, and want to waste no time with a story you may not want read. This book is a litrpg. This means it contains stat tables, and other game elements. (Which you may gloss over if you would like) It is written in a fantasy world, in the style of a progression fantasy. The main character grows in power as the story plays out. My characters are written to my best ability, but you may find them immature. The MC has to adjust to fighting, and killing which he struggles with for a while. His partner is a magical salamander who is a friend and mentor. The world building, monsters, and descriptions are also low tier. (I am working hard to change that!) If you are okay reading something by someone who is just getting started then welcome! I am doing my best, and incrementally improving as I go.

That Scottish Play
This is a very silly and cringey parody of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The play format will be kept consistent throughout. Unless you enjoy cringing so hard you experience physical pain, I'd suggest avoiding this work. However, as the level of cringe is only slightly less than that of the office, any fans of that show may enjoy this work. (I believe, as a parody, this work is protected from copyright by fair use, additionally, Shakespeare is in the public domain so it doesn't fall under copyright in the first place. If I'm wrong please let me know)
