Oh poetry!

What it means to flow!

To escape around the bend!

To jump into the arms of a lover!

Oh poetry,

How I could just fall,

To see how long,

Before you catch me.

Oh poetry,

How I've fallen,

All the way to the ground,

Where it opened up,

Where the underworld pulled me in,

Where hell was waiting,

In the abyss,

Where dreams are real,

Where nightmares come to life.

Oh poetry,

How you've pulled me in,

How you've picked me up,

In your soft, gentle hand,

An apple, a fruit,

A possibility,

That I can't bear to look at!
