《Keeping The Balance》Chapter Forty-Four - Bullied Model Student - Task World Four (4)

Hol was woken up when the car finally stopped moving and let out a huge yawn as he stretched out his body. He didn't wait for his car door to open and just got out himself. As soon as he was out of the car he was immediately hugged and surrounded by the smell of lavender.
"There is my cute little grandson! I miss you soooo much! Did you grow? Of course, you did! You look so handsome! My little handsome man!" Hol was hugged tightly as he was given wet kisses all over his face. He couldn't help but giggle a bit as he was getting these grandmother kisses.
"Stop, stop! Let me breathe, Ma! I love this but give me a chance to get ready for all this love!" Hol went to push Alex's grandmother off of him but he was doing it weakly. He couldn't help but get all warm inside at being greeted like this by someone.
"Fine, but I better get an extra long hug from my baby!" After one last kiss on his forehead, Hol was finally let go by his grandmother. Hol looked at the older woman who was standing in front of him. She was surprisingly tall for someone who was older and she looked so easygoing that you forget that she was nearly 70 years old. She was Lanita Teel and she was a CEO of a gaming company.
She had big black curly hair that was styled like an afro and had a few gray hairs in it. She was wearing round glasses that were big on her face but looked rather cute on her. Her eyes were a dark brown that seemed to have a hint of green in them. Her skin was dark and had a few beauty marks on her face. Even though she had some wrinkles on her face it didn't take away from how pretty she looked. She was also wearing clothes that seem to have some form of game character located on it.
"Oh my! You look so skinny! Did you not eat enough? That is not okay! I will make you something right away. You can have some cookies I baked early for you as you wait for dinner." Hol didn't have time to say anything before he was being dragged into the house by Lanita. She had a rather strong grip for someone old.
Hol was brought to the living room and sat on a couch. It was a bit weird to sit on since it was covered by plastic but he managed to get comfortable. After Lanita handed Hol a plate of cookies she went to the kitchen right away to start cooking.

Hol took that time to look around the area he was currently in as he ate the cookies, the really soft and gooey cookies. Hol was really getting the feeling of a rich grandmother's house from the living room but it was also extra nice to see some gaming stuff hanging around the place. Even though she was old she still knew how great games were.
Hol was kind of surprise to see that she had a lot of technology in the house since he was assuming she wouldn't know how to use most of them but he guess it shouldn't be too surprising since she did own a gaming company.
After Hol ate the last of the cookies he could hear Lanita call him from the kitchen. Making sure to place the plate he was eating from carefully on the table in the middle of the living room, he headed to the kitchen to see what she needed from him.
"Ah, there you are! I am done cooking. Can you help me set the table?" Hol tried not to drool once he smelled the food that was in the kitchen. He doesn't know why but grandparents cooking always smells so good. He went to grab some chicken he saw in a pot but his hand was slapped by a spoon and given a frown by Lanita.
"But Maaaa! I am so hungry! Can I please eat a little of the food?" Hol gave Lanita the puppy eyes but she didn't get rid of the frown on her face. Hol could only pout as he grabs some plates and cups to put on the dining table.
After what felt like a long and hard time, Hol finally got to sit at the dining table (he actually had to wash his hands first since Lanita wouldn't allow him to sit at the table with dirty hands...) and he got his fork ready to dig into the food in front of him. It was rice and peas, the peas are the big red ones which are his favorite, and some good old spicy chicken. He ate it right away and let out a happy hum once he tasted it in his mouth.
"I am so pleased you love the food. I was so concerned about how you were eating when you were away so long. What if you weren't eating enough or the food wasn't good?!" Lanita covers her eyes as she pretends to get teary-eyed but Hol knew she was faking since she was still eating while she covers he eyes.

"I was doing fine. The food wasn't good like yours but I still ate it. But nothing can beat your cooking, Ma!" Hol could feel the soul of Alex getting warm as he continued to eat Lanita food. It seems the original body really enjoys eating their grandmother food.
"I wish I could have sent you my food but it wouldn't be nice and warm when you eat it... So I could only hope that the people I hired to cook for you were giving their all with their cooking. But they can't put my love for you in the food you eat." Hol couldn't help but chuckle when Lanita made a heart shape with her hands, she was really affectionate.
"Now... How was your first day at school? Did you have any trouble? Did someone bother you? Did you make a friend?" Lanita gave Hol her full attention and he had to stop eating for a while so he could give her his full attention as well.
"Well the teacher called me by the last name I didn't prefer but I made sure to correct them. I did make a friend, he is a cute boy and I hope that maybe he could come over and stay the night. I mean after we get closer but I know we will get closer." Hol couldn't control the fact his face was getting hot as he thought about his cute lover.
"I see... Do you like like this friend of yours, already? Does he make your heart go all over the place?" Hol's face felt super hot when he realized that Lanita was teasing him about how he felt about his lover.
"Who even says like like anymore? I do like him in a way that friends wouldn't like each other. But I am not ashamed or embarrassed by these feelings since he is super cute and I want to kiss his face!" Hol crossed his arms over his chest as he told Lanita this but his heart felt like it was going to come out of his chest from how embarrassed he was.
"Awww! How cute! My little Alex has a crush on his first day of school! Now... I want you to know this. I didn't hide my feelings at all for my husband. I made sure to go all out. I was bold and aggressive! If you need any help then your grandma can help you." Hol rolled his eyes as he started to eat again so he wouldn't be forced to give her an answer. It was embarrassing thinking of asking her how to make someone like you.
The rest of the dinner went peacefully and Hol noticed Lanita didn't bring up the old man directly. It was more like an indirect way. She would just mention him like trash, bug, shit, or other insulting words. Hol would do the same since he didn't think highly of the old man either.
Lanita went to her work office since she had to do a meeting but she made sure to give him a bunch of kisses and a super long hug before she left. Hol headed to his room and open the door. The room was painted completely black and had a bunch of heavy metal posters on the wall. There was a few nail polish on a shelf in the room and a few books laying next to the bookshelf. The only thing that wasn't black in the room was a colorful teddy bear that was laying on a neatly made bed.
Hol didn't pay too much mind to the bear since he knew it was a gift from Alex's mom before she died. Hol went to get some clothes to put on to sleep and headed to take a shower. He made sure to take a long shower so he could be really clean since he was other the house of shitty people for a couple of hours.
After he was done with his shower he jumped on his bed and got on his phone. He was messaging his lover again. His lover was way more chatty on the phone than in real life. He didn't mind this but he was worried that they were so quiet because of people in the school being totally dicks.
'Don't worry Glenn. I will make sure no one makes your high school days shitty anymore. I will literally beat the shit out of anyone who causes you trouble.' Hol couldn't help but smile to himself as he thought about beating up a bunch of people and showing off in front of his lover.
