I raised my hand to his face and pushed the hair out of his eyes. He watched my every moment. I brought my face closer to his and our breath mixed together.

"We should stop, but I don't want to" I whispered and, with that, I closed the gap between us.

Aaron tensed at first, but then kissed back. Hard. This was the most passion and lust I've seen coming from Aaron and I liked it. I liked it more than I would like to admit. He feverishly kissed back, his hands going grabbing me in his hold and I gasped as I felt his cold hands on my warm back. It felt so exhilarating. So enthralling. One minute he was holding me tight and then suddenly he was gone.

Ecstasy. Pure ecstasy.

The loud music drowned out every thought; every fear and he reveled in it, brushing his hair back with a hand.

The other was much too occupied on a girl's hip.

He didn't know her name nor had he even seen her face properly with her back to his front, but he didn't need to. It wouldn't change the fact that, right now, he was enjoying himself; enjoying thinking and feeling nothing. His mind was a canvas of brilliant white and he loved it. He was purely existing: there but not truly there. It was Eden.

He turned his head towards the flurry of people, eyes finding Danny on a table, a whole bunch of people surrounding him, clapping and saying 'Go Danny', encouraging him as he stood on the table dancing away. He was always known to be the 'party animal' of the trio and Aaron turned to find the other who was known as quite the opposite.

His eyes caught Justin who was sitting on the sofa. His eyes were on his phone and a red cup was in his hand, a look of discontent on his face. The sole reason why he would always come was due to Aaron's and Danny's incessant pleading, otherwise he'd most likely bide his time in his room with headphones in or a late night walk alone. Sometimes, Aaron wondered how they had become best friends with so much differences between them. Of course, he was thankful that they had; no one understood him quite like Justin.

He turned back to see another girl with him now, this one with striking ginger hair. She danced against him, moving her hands in intricate patterns in the air whilst he stood there smirking, his hands placed on her hips. How was something so simple so effective in making him forget all the painful afflictions against him?

"Aaron!"

He turned at the sound of a female just as someone thrust themselves into him and he instinctively pushed them off, eyes widening slightly as he saw it was Lexi, not just any other girl. Had he have known it was her, he wouldn't have moved her so harshly.

But, he couldn't take it back now, so instead he looked to her blankly before gesturing to her feet.

"Take the heels off. You're stumbling too much with them on." Was all he responded with before turning away. He feared his gaze would linger at her appearance- the blush she had added; the sultry eyeliner. He turned before she'd notice and he heard the atypical sound of her stomping her feet before she tapped him.

"Aaron, I'm bored!" She whined, pouting like a child and he turned to her at the odd tone. Never once had she spoke to him in such a 'friendly' tone and his eyebrow arched in confusion. She was just stood, staring at him with a pout of her face and the unfamiliar expression threw him. He was about to ask her of it, but then Danny moved in, slinging an arm casually around his shoulder.

"Yeah, go have some alone time with your girl!" Danny exclaimed loudly, making Aaron wince. He had thought he had gotten used to Danny's voice, but he was clearly wrong. He only grimaced as Danny looked to Lexi with a smirk and- much to Aaron's dismay- a hand wrapped around her shoulder.

"You are in for the night of your life, New Girl" He said, winking exaggeratedly at the end and Aaron tensed at the words. He knew his reputation preceded him, but the last thing he wanted was for Lexi to think of him in such a way. The absolute last thing.

Instead of scrutinising him in her usual manner, she let out a giggle and he turned to her at this, watching the way her nose scrunched up in a way he found oddly endearing.

"Ew no thanks!" She let out just as quickly, making him smirk at her words. When was the last time when someone had used the word 'ew' when saying anything pertaining to him? It was refreshing and he enjoyed it more than he thought he would.

His amusement only deepened when she reached over, pulling at his arm. Be ignored the warmth, feeling a mix of amusement and confusion. Still, he allowed Danny to nudge them up the stairs and into his room.

As soon as they entered, he opened his mouth to ask what she was doing, but stopped when he watched her shut the door quickly as though someone was chasing after them. It made him smirk yet again and he raised an eyebrow.

"Someone's in a rush to get in my pants." He teased, hoping to see her familiar glare and to hear her refreshing retorts. Yet, as he walked to the sit on the sofa, he was met with only silence and he watched her thoughtfully. The solemn expression on her face and the slight tepid shaking of her hands by her side, he watched it all with heightened curiosity: a curiosity he had never felt for anything in his life.

He wasn't the inquisitive type and nor had he ever cared to delve into other's minds; he already had his own screwed up mind to deal with. Yet, looking at Lexi right now, he wandered what she was thinking about so deeply. The glazed look in her eyes, like she was miles away, tugged at him as though she was leaving at this very minute.

He was about to call her name, but she looked up to him then, shaking her head in an animated manner before here eyes locked on his with a definitive certainty that scared him.

"Stand up." Was all she said in a finalising tone and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion yet again. He couldn't help the frown that formed on his face as he stared at her. This wasn't usually how Lexi behaved and it made him slightly tentative. Where was this going?

"Stand up." She repeated yet again when he didn't comply and, whilst still feeling confused, he obliged; his curiosity for what she was doing was stronger than any hesitation. He stood up slowly, his eyes never leaving hers for even a fraction of a second. Try as he might, he couldn't read her.

Even more so, when she motioned for him to come to her with a simple movement of her index finger. The odd action made him stiffen along with the tense look in her eyes. There was something about her unrelenting behaviour right now that made him blush and he wondered why she was suddenly speaking to him in this manner. He had thought she hated him.

"Me?" He questioned, looking around to see if she was talking to somebody else. It seemed too unrealistic to hope that gaze was solely for him.

She sighed dramatically at this before nodding heavily.

"Yes, you." She snapped tiredly before flicking her hair out of her face with a whimper. He held the laughter in at the action as he processed her words.

"Okay?" Was all he could say, still feeling confused. He walked towards her slowly, but stopped a few inches away, feeling suddenly unsure of himself. She had never been really close to him before; what if she noticed his rapid heartbeat? He didn't want that.

"Now what?" He questioned instead of delving into his thoughts and be watched cautiously as she walked up slowly towards him, extending her hands out. It looked as though she would push him, but instead she pushed him down to sit on the bed. The unpredictable action made him frown yet again.

"What are you d-" She cut him off then with a scorching kiss against his jawline, making his jaw clench instinctively. His heart lulled to a complete stop at the action, blood pounding in his ears at the feel of her soft lips: the very lips he would often end up ogling at. His body failed him then, laying dead in lustful shock as she trailed her nose up the crook of his neck. His body shuddered involuntarily and he couldn't help but close his eyes as she let out a soft whine. Her scent was consuming his entire being then and he feared his teeth would break from how hard he was clenching his jaw. It was then that she bit down on a particular sensitive spot by his collar bone and he moved back, pulling Lexi away with her arms before he could make any accidental, compromising sound.

"Lexi?" He questioned, trying to control his breathing. He cursed at how gravelly his voice was gone as he searched her eyes. She was staring at him so intensely that he felt he'd unravel under her gaze.

"Aaron." She responded in a soft tone that caressed him even more and he leaned in to taste her lips again. It was only when she stumbled closer to him that he broke out of his haze, staring at her odd behaviour in confusion.

He had an inkling, but he sniffed to make sure and it was then that he realised why she was acting the way she was. He couldn't help the pit forming in his gut as he moved away, jaw clenched in anger.

"You're drunk." He said more than asked, trying to hide the tirade of emotions that threatened to spill. It was with but one smell of alcohol that he felt the nausea; the dampening of his hands. One smell and he felt like a young boy again, watching as his mother cried on the kitchen floor, clutching the bottle in her shaking hands. One smell and he would remember seeing her passed out on the sofa when he'd come back to school; he'd remember running up to her each time with a hand under her nose to check if she was still breathing. He couldn't forget searching her gaze at the kitchen table for some semblance of the mother he once had, but to no avail. She had been snatched away by the infidelity committed by his father.

"Not drunk. I prefer the term eccentric" Lexi's slur brought him back to reality and he tried hard to repress the grief, keeping his face stayed stone-like.

"Neither of them change the fact that we should stop this." His voice was dark, holding a warning, but it didn't seem as though it registered to her by the way she was staring at him. Her heavy gaze roamed his body, making his heart thunder like a traitor. He was supposed to be angry yet he still watched her tepidly; still felt his hands clench by his side with nerves.

Even more so when she raised her hand to his face, pushing the hair out of his eyes. He watched my every moment intently, too scared to even breathe. She brought her face closer to his then with a confidence that unnerved him and he tensed as her sweet scent consumed him.

"We should stop, but I don't want to." She whispered, making his heart thundering and- with that- she closed the gap between them.

He tensed at first, not able to register that the lips he had been dreaming about were now softly against his. He only needed a moment to process this and then he was truly unraveled by her. He kissed back with as much vivacity as he could muster, his hands feverishly grabbing her in the fear she would pull away. He felt her gasp into the kiss and he sighed into it, relishing the feel of her warm back from under her shirt. He was touching her naked back. It was only when his hand roamed high enough to touch her bra that he jerked away, finally realising what he had been doing to a drunk girl.

The girl he had wanted to kiss as soon as he had seen her by her locker, he had taken advantage of when she wasn't fully conscious of her actions. Was he truly that disgusting?

"Fuck" He muttered to himself, angry at what he had done; angry that he had allowed her to see the side of him that he hated. His deplorable side that resembled his father, he had wanted to protect her from his dark ailment. She was refreshing, a light in his otherwise dark life and he hated that he put himself onto her; he brought her into his decrepit life.

He sat up with his head in in hands, feeling the nausea again. His mother was right- he was just like him.

"What happened?" Lexi's voice broke through the silence and he watched from his peripheral as she raised a hand towards him, but he stopped it before it could touch him, knowing all too well that he would pull her into him again. Her lips were addictive and he craved them yet again.

"Don't touch me. I don't know if I'd be able to control myself again." He told her honestly, pushing her hand away as he tried to think of anything else but her alluring taste. He had to move past it or he'd dive for her yet again.

"But, Aaron?" Her voice was meek now, not certain and he sighed to keep his composure.

"Mm?" He grunted in response because that's all he could muster then and a small silence followed before she sighed.

"Why do you hate me?" Her question was quiet, pained and he snapped his gaze towards her doe eyes, glistening with the moonlight; her now-stained lips and her smooth skin.

And, in that very moment, he did hate her for the way she took his breath and heartbeat away.
