On top, the care Wang Lei had for Huang Dewei was too much as well. She knew she can't touch Xin Ying, but who cares about some cheap slave-turned-concubine about whom no one cared? With the intention of getting rid of Huang Dewei forever from this work, Chen Ju came with a knife but she never thought she will get caught since that stupid Wang Lei's whore did not even have guards or maids for him to protect him. Wang Lei throw him out of the room as he closed the door behind him and glared at her

'What do you think you are doing? Have you lost your mind?' Wang Lei whispered and screamed asked angrily

'You have lost your mind, Wang Lei, over this guy.' Chen Ju replied with the same rage while Wang Lei glared at her

'So do you think you can kill him? Have you lost your mind?' Wang Lei screamed and Chen Ju stares at him as she started crying

'You don't care about me at all Wang Lei since he came here. You act like I don't exist anymore.' Chen Ju complained as she was crying

'Do you think I can forgive that you tried to kill him once before with poison and now I caught you a second time?' Wang Lei screamed asked.

'You can't forgive me because of him? Is his life that important?' Chen Ju asked heart broke

'To me every life is important and his life is important to me even more than mine. ' Wang Lei said and Chen Ju just kept crying, but he did not move forward to make her quiet because first of all, he does not want to be all soft with her because she was trying to kill someone and that was a huge thing and second he was angry with her anyway.

'You need to control...go back to your residence and you are not allowed anywhere near Huang Dewei. If it happens that will be seen as a crime and you will be punished.' Wang Lei ordered and Chen Ju looked up towards him hurtfully then walked out in rage. Wang Lei sighed because he was really not getting why Chen Ju was behaving like this? This needs to stop before she does something which is big and she regrets doing it. Wang Lei went back inside Huang Dewei's room and the whole night all he did was pace around the room while he was deep in thought filled with worry and concern while Huang Dewei was deep in sleep.

The next morning, Huang Dewei's eyes flew open and he sat up on his bed. He stretch his arms when he heard noises coming from outside. Huang Dewei wore back his clothes quickly and came out of his room he saw two guards standing at his door. He was surprised as he walked around and saw a few more guards all over his residence. He was puzzled and confused upon seeing that many guards over his residence and he could think of only one person who could do this and that person was Wang Lei.

Huang Dewei decided to go and talk to him and asked why there were so many guards over his residence. It was not like he needed them. He was a bodyguard himself...he does not need anybody for his protection. He can protect himself from anyone. And anyone he was someone important that someone wanted to harm him. He was an ordinary man who also happen to be Emperor's concubine. He was not female and people would think of him as an enemy because there was a chance of him giving birth to the next Emperor. For others, he was male with no purpose except to provide sex to the Emperor.

He came out from his residence and walked towards his residence. He reached into his chamber and knock. He greeted Cheng then opened his door and entered inside. Wang Lei looked up towards him from the document he was reading then looked away. He was waiting for him and he knew he would come to him once he found out that he had put guards on his resident. Huang Dewei stormed towards him and stopped in front of him. He bowed down and respectfully greeted him because does not matter what had happened between them, he should always respect him as an Emperor.

'Why are there so many guards outside my door?' Huang Dewei asked getting straight to the point in a cold tone.

'For your protection.' Wang Lei responded nonchalantly as he looked back at the document he was reading. His careless response burned a fire inside Huang Dewei while Wang Lei was trying his best to stay calm. Does not matter how much he wanted he was angry inside towards Chen Ju or guilty towards Huang Dewei for forcing something he said he does not want to have it.

'I already said it I don't need them. Can't you respect my wish of not having guards?' Huamg Dewei said angrily as he bite hard on his lips. His biting his lips clearly suggested his anger toward Wang Lei who inside felt even more apologetic towards him.

'Everyone else got it so you need to have them too. It is for your safety.' Wang Lei said as he tried to reason with him calmly.

'Why are you suddenly pretending to care for me?' Huang Dewei snapped said as his sharp words stabbed a knife through his heart.

'I do care about you, Weiwei.' Wang Lei said as he hide away his hurt over his words in a soft gentle tone.

'Bullshit.' Huang Dewei said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes and Wang Lei sighed as he intensely stared at him.

'You are such a heartless man Huang Dewei.' Wang Lei said in a disappointed and sad tone.

'I don't care what you think of me but remove those guards.' Huang Dewei replied without caring about his emotions. He was just angry about guards being all the time around him. He did not expect Wang Lei to not respect his wishes. He was really angry at him without knowing the full truth behind why Wang Lei assigned those guards to him. Huang Dewei thinks he just wants to cause him pain and that thought of painful in itself.

'No, I am not removing them. They will stay there and guard you.' Wang Lei simply straight out rejected his offer and Huang Dewei's eyes filled with rage.

'Is this your new way of torturing me?' Huang Dewei asked heartbrokenly and Wang Lei was just staring at him. He wanted to tell him the truth but he should not. It won't be good for him or for Chen Ju.

'You can think whatever you want to think.' Wang Lei replied in a calm tone and his calmness was making Huang Dewei angrier and angrier.

'I hate you...I really hate you.' Huang Dewei confessed irked and Wang Lei felt his words wounding and scaring his soul. Anger filled in his eyes as he angrily closed the document and stood up from his chair.

'No, you don't...' Wang Lei screamed as he glared at Huang Dewei who glared back at him. There was unspoken pain in their eyes yet they were unable to read that pain.

'I do...I really hate you...' Huang Dewei screamed back as he saw pain filling Wang Lei's eyes. He said those words to hurt him because dee down Huang Dewei knew that was not the truth at all. Wang Lei stormed towards him and pulled him in his arms.

'Stop saying that to me Weiwei...' Wang Lei said helplessly as he warned him Huang Dewei glared at him while he struggle in his arms and tried to come out from his grip.

'I am not Weiwei...Stop calling me that...' Huang Dewei snapped at him and Wang Lei was shocked by his behaviour.

'Weiwei...' Wang Lei softly called out to him as he gently touched his face which was angrily pushed away from Huang Dewei

'Don't touch me.' Hang Dewei screamed and Wang Lei felt somebody rip his heart out. His eyes were filled with agony as he slowly let go of him. Wang Lwei felt heartbroken as Huang Deweii felt guilt filing inside him for behaving badly with him. He saw the pain in his eyes at his words and he regret saying those last words to him, but he was too stubborn to apologise to him.

'Okay fine hate me as much you want but those guards are staying.' Wang Lei said as he told him his decision clearly and he moved away from him.

'I wish I never had met you.' Huang Dewei said and turned over as he walked out without caring how much he had hurt Wang Lei. Wang Lei sighed as he watched him walk away then walked and sat down back on his chair. His heart was restless upon seeing how Huang Dewei was reacting but he was helpless. He had no idea how to make him believe him. He had no idea what he should do to earn his forgiveness. Maybe the best option right now was giving him some time right now...Wang Lei thought in a hope of a better and bright future.
