《A Complete Crossing To Rebirth》Chapter 23

Skull jumping spiders were not easy to kill due to their fast agility and small body. However, it was easy to lure them over by stringing them with qi. From there, they would be hooked on the one thing that gave them nutrients and fall straight into their trap.
The diagram lit up and sliced the Skull Jumping spiders apart.
"I didn't expect them to be this foolish, but a monster is still a monster." Rong Yuhang stepped out and crushed his heel on a staggering spider while smiling.
"Low intelligence is just something ones born with. Right~?"
Luo Mingli crouched down to examine the corpses and take some into his pouch while replying to his highness. "Everything your highness says has words of wisdom and experience. It is beyond my comprehension of understanding."
"There you go again flattering me~ It makes me want to rip your tongue out since it sounds more like you're insulting me somehow ahaha~"
"But my tongue only speaks the words of which your highness deserves. Too much credit is due what's worth."
Rong Yuhang fanned himself with the fan covering the lower half of his face. He looked away with a slight blush on his face and mulled over his words briefly thinking, 'He has a really good way of speaking with his words. Maybe he can be useful for when those wrinkly, old fogey bastards talk about my finances kekeke~'
Luo Mingli surveyed the area and stepped over some steep grounds before discovering a hidden cave underneath a huge cliff. Vines and webs surrounded the entrance with thorns sharply coated with dried blood and animal bones on the ground. A few human skeletons were identified making one wonder what type of creature resided behind all these threatening traps.
In the whole of this secret realm, only one significant plot point was described for an entire arc and it belonged to this very cave. Just by following the needlessly long, overly detailed description of the location, Luo Mingli did not need any more to deduce as he stepped out of the bushes and approached the entrance.

Then, a hand held his shoulder.
"This prince orders you to wait."
That haughty and arrogant tone could only belong to Rong Yuhang who squinted his eyes peculiarly and with inquisitive thoughts. Judging by the thinly laid webs that were partially invisible, this hidden cave could be the Skull Jumping Spider's nest.
"An ant is as insignificant as a human's tail, but an army of ants is a giant's worst nightmare." Rong Yuhang said. "Now follow behind me, I'm afraid you would be bitten to death with your pitiful body."
"Yes your highness." He may not be the one being bitten but for others, who knows...? A small smile spread to his lips but he kept a neutral expression.
Rong Yuhang cut the surrounding vines in the way. The entrance was dark and there was a distinct foul smell causing his brows to furrow as he placed the fan over his face.
"To make this holy prince inhale such putrid air, when I find the culprit I'll make them suffer a thousand stitches to the head."
As much as Luo Mingli would like to spite this 'holy' prince on his speech, the cave system was more complex than expected and memorising the directions was more important. Rong Yuhang had used his thunder attribute to grace them with light and stopped in front of ten tunnels.
"We shall take this road." Rong Yuhang pointed to the hole mid-right.
"May this one inquire the reasoning?"
"Simple." Rong Yuhang snorted. "I am the seventh prince and therefore, we choose the seventh hole."
Luo Mingli, "......" I shouldn't have asked.
He felt a migraine coming. But the route had already been chosen. Luo Mingli calmly avoided the splatters of blood caused by Rong Yuhang's incessant killing. Really, couldn't he kill more cleanly? The blood was painting the walls as if he was trying to create a new art piece similar to a toddlers doodle and the spider's legs spasmodic episodes as if it was having a multi-millionaire seizure.
Life was a little bleak inside this cave but some things must press on. Rong Yuhang increased the brightness when they entered a widely spaced room. Then, he extinguished it after feeling a fluctuation in the distance.

As they got closer, the sound of clashing sounded behind the walls and the two peered over with inquisitive eyes that had a hint of drama within.
Rong Yuhang couldn't resist the curve of his lips going up as he happily exclaimed. "Well if it isn't my favourite group of family friends!"
Luo Mingli glanced at the giant snake at the soul condensation stage; it was firmly suppressing the five cultivators. There were three corpses on the floor of varying symbols on their robes, stating their affiliation.
The five who were still alive but struggling were people the two were very familiar with.
"Who would expect the Zheng siblings and the two royals to join up with each other."
There was also someone present among them who Ring Yuhang couldn't contain his killing intent with for a moment. His eyes squinted dangerously with a smile. Lin Yangqiu.
"They look like they're struggling so hard. I almost feel sorry." Rong Yuhang placed a hand over his chest as he closed his eyes, desperately looking like someone who genuinely had sympathy. Until his next words came out—
"Is there any possible way to regrow a limb back once it's ripped off? I want to do it personally than let a random beast have a meal."
"The materials required to regrow limbs are quite high, the losses are not worth the gains your highness."
"Is that so..." Rong Yuhang looked down with pity. "Only a treasured pet would be given the treatment like its master. As for a dog on the street, it real,t wouldn't be worth it. Then I should be benevolent and let the sad beast eat its meal."
"Your benevolence will touch the hearts of even the most undeserving your highness."
"Sometimes I think I'm too benevolent." Roth Yuhang fanned himself with a helpless sigh.
The two smiled through their pleasant converesation while screaming happened in the background.
Zheng Xinqiao's sword was lost as she was thrown back into a wall and coughed up blood. Her tears were already flowing down her peach toned skin cut with bruises. One of the female cultivators went to help Zheng Xinqiao but the snake was aware of their movements and attacked, puncturing its tail through her stomach.
Zheng Xinqiao screamed again as blood splattered on her face. Zheng Yingbiao tried slicing the tail with the help of the third Prince. They managed to make the snake retreat a little giving the other two cultivatiors from her sect a chance to take her away from the area.
"It's already too late for her, she can't be saved."
"Senior... Don't care about me just... survive."
"Junior sister!!!! Noo! Hold on, I will save you." The male disciple was outraged, and blinded by anger, rushed straight at the giant spider slashing wildly. "Die!!!"
"Don't be impulsive—"
Blood was splattered again. Oh, everything was a mess. Rong Hui suggested to retreat for now and regroup later to think of a way to kill the creature. As the third prince with sufficient authority, everyone followed him subconsciously and fled the scene.
"Shall we follow them?"
They ran into a tunnel which the snake couldn't follow.
"Of course we should... not!" Ring Yuhang shrugged his shoulders and laughed. "This is the perfect chance to take what they couldn't. When they come back after so much arduous sacrifices, wouldn't their faces turn the most beautiful shade of green and purple?"
"Then wouldn't it be better to take it in front of their faces?" Luo Mingli smiled faintly. "After such an intense fight, they are exhausted and less vigilant, happy and excited to get their reward only to be counting the money for someone else."
Rong Yuhang snapped his finger with sparks. "The greatest joy becomes the greatest despair. That's a great idea."
And so, the villainous couple set up an extremely fun plan that the unsuspecting protagonists did not account for.
