Once a year, I feel like opening my sketchbook. And although this time I opened it to draw some Gods & Thieves characters, I found these.

Now I guess I get to share it? These are two pieces I sketched when I was yet brainstorming ideas for Yara's story (doubting I'd ever start it, let alone finish it. How far I've come, huh?Wow!)

Anyway, my lacking-experience talents as an artist for you to judge now :)

The first scene never made it to the final draft of the story--obv, otherwise there'd be no story if Yara had been saved from the fire. And the second one...hm, the second one is simply sad. But all that matters is the happy ending, right? ❤️
