“What are you two some kind of monsters?” Frida screamed as she saw her party leader being felled down in two halves by Yui’s sword.

“The real monster here is only you. We will not allow you to hurt Mia anymore.” Yui says with strong determination on her face.

“Yui you look like a hero.” Airi praised Yui from afar getting excited to see Yui in a bright light and saying cool heroic lines. It simply made her heart flutter.

Airi was also simultaneously healing Mia. Her magic was a bit drained since she had been continuously using it from the time of leaving the village.

But Airi was dextrous in her magic practice and her precise control was more than astonishing. Mia’s wounds were almost patched up. All she needed to do was recover her strength.

"You are hurt so badly. I will make them pay.” Airi too felt pain from seeing Mia so hurt. She never realized that she would ever be sad for anybody else besides Yui. But she was and was glad that she came to her rescue swiftly.

“…Airi thank you. I am… glad you came.” Mia opened her eyes and she looks around. Her face was pale but her eyes were bright. And the hint of a smile on her face was enough to relieve Airi’s and Yui’s concerns.

“It's game over for you Give yourself up.” Yui offers Frida surrender since she looked badly injured after taking a hit from the stone projectile.

“It's all her fault. Curse that beast. You filthy mongrel. I will kill you. I will kill you all.” Frida tries to stand up yelling loudly.

She reaches her staff lying on the ground and raises it high.

“I will slaughter all my enemies. You will see.” Frida’s laughter turns into a vile expression.

Her magic staff glows until it becomes fiery red.

“Burn up in my fire!” Frida frantically started launching magic everywhere.

“Has she gone mad?” Yui quickly retreats to Yui’s side not wanting to get hit by random fire attacks.

“She has given up but if we do not stop her this can become disastrous,” Airi says as she raises a barrier.

Fire attacks trying to hit them now gets blocked with Airi’s barrier magic.

“Won’t this barrier hold?” Yui asked.

“This is just a basic type I came up with in case of an emergency. But it won’t last long.” Airi had herself developed a primitive barrier, by simply condensing her magic around her.

But Frida after losing control had gone berserk.

By launching fire attacks everywhere, the dungeon was being torn down. The top roof of the cave could itself crash over them.

“Hmmm…. I see. Then I will distract her, while you finish her.” Yui suggested.

“We don’t have a choice but to hurry.” Airi wanted to give Mia proper medical attention and not just any first aid in a dungeon.

Mia could not even speak and barely keep her eyes open. The trauma in her mind was too deep as well.

Yui sneakily gets out of the barrier range but with caution. She blocks some of the endless fire attacks. She needed to destroy the staff in order to stop Frida's rampage.

With little steps, she was trying to get close to Frida.

“No, you don’t. Don’t come close to me. Stay away!” Frida was scared on seeing Yui approaching her. She focuses her attention on Yui.

“Stop this madness. You have lost. Accept your mistake.”

“You bitch. You all are the same. That conniving beast girl thinks that if she is beautiful she can get anything in this world.” Frida’s true self was coming out in form of outbursts.

“I see. You are just a jealous woman. There’s no way we would lose to someone like you.” Yui points her sword at Frida and challenges her.

“You will all die by my hands.” Frida starts concentrating on her magic power.

Storms of fire hurl in Yui's direction. The magic staff seemed to harbor great strength as Airi had ascertained with her magic powers.

But with the speed and strength Yui swings her sword, she dissipates them.

Unfortunately, she still sustained burn injuries as she felt the heat.

“That’s where you stop.” Airi brandishes her hand and a gale of wind circulates from her hand.

“You fool. You made the biggest mistake.” Frida carelessly laughs. She knew Airi’s wind magic would only fan her flames and work to her advantage.

“That’s not for you.” Yui jumps in and as if she was now riding the wind herself she drifts through space.

Frida’s fire attacks were being pushed away by the wind gently. That was the real purpose of the wind circulation nature that Airi chose.

"How the two of you can be in such sync? this is not fair!" Frida complains hopelessly.

Yui having an affinity for wind magic herself closes in on Frida who gets even more fearful.

While Yui prepares her sword, Frida in a final attempt uses her wooden staff to block her.

Crrraccckkk…

As obvious to everyone the staff broke, but out of the blue the magic energy stored in it was released in one quick instant.

“AHHHHHhhhh…” Frida screams as she gets burned by her own magic overloaded in the staff as it dysfunctions.

In truth, this was not a staff that originally belonged to Frida but a priestess girl whom she murdered to get her hands on this very staff and to gain strong magic power.

The power-release was so strong that it sent impure magical pulses around the whole floor. Activating all magic traps and attracting the monsters.

“Airi… the dungeon traps.” With all her strength Mia warns Airi of the danger.

Airi also sensed an irregularity in magical density where Yui was.

“Yui get back, it’s dangerous.”

Yui on hearing Airi’s warning, instead of going for the final blow was about to pull back.

Just then the wall behind Frida glows with some inscription writings and the whole floor is lit. Not leaving a single speck of darkness or shadow could be found at that point in the cave.

“….Yui.”

“Airi….” The two girls try to reach out to each other.

After a few moments when the blinding light cleared, the floor was empty back as it used to be, with no signs of any living being whatsoever present there except for the roaring of monsters in the dungeon.
