;Abandoned Territory;

Pov: Satin

I crouched down on all fours, Aylean let me take control and I was currently hunting.

I watched as a lone rabbit nibbled on the grass beneath our paws. The small grey bundle of fluff twitching it's nose as I crept closer to the oblivious creature.

Aylean rested in the back of my mind as I continued to creep forward, once I was close enough I waited until the rabbit turned to its side. I smiled and pounced on it.

The rabbit squeaked and tried getting out of my grip, I heard my stomach gurgling from hunger then snapped it's neck. Letting the rabbit die a painless death.

I crouched down and began eating, my ears perked up just in case anything decided to attack me while I was in a venerable position.

Being a runt caused many animals to assume I was weak, but the Alpha Blood in my veins said otherwise.

I licked my jaws clean when I finished the small rabbit then out stretched my paws and lied down on the dry dirt.

My mind flashed back to our mate and I whimpered. Despite only seeing him once, I still missed him. I was pissed but the mate bond was slowly consuming me.

Aylean scolded me.

Really Satin?

If he does then he does. We can't do anything about it, let's just hope he doesn't.

I huffed and shut Aylean out, I was angry at her for trying to defy the laws of the mate bond. My heart throbbed as I remembered how that she-wolf had her hands on my mate.

I growled at the thought. That she-wolf was bold enough to do that in front of her mate, I can only imagine how his wolf is hurting.

Exactly Satin. I only did it because their 'decided to act around me, and I'm fully aware she knew that we were his mate.

I gulped, I knew she was right. I knew she was doing the the right thing too, it just hurt to think that I was hurting my mate. I whimpered and folded my ears back.

Aylean sighed in my head.

We have to head back to the cabin, now that we're healed.

I stood up and shook the dirt out of my black fur and headed back to the cave, Aylean was right. We had our one pack to take care of. With that I let the woman take control of the body again.

;Abandoned Territory;

Pov: Aylean

After Satin gave me control I shook my fur then headed back to the cave.

Once we were both at the cave I shifted and walked over to my clothes, I quickly changed into a navy blue crop top and some black denim shorts.

I sighed and pulled my dark brow hair into a high ponytail "Why is that Beta taking so long?" I muttered to myself.

Well then if he did, they we have a battle to fight, because I'm not going down without one.

I shook my head and walked out of the cave, I knew how much it hurt Asher and Davion to come into the abandoned territory and I wasn't about to make them suffer even more.

I quickly grabbed my backpack and stuffed some of my clothes into the backpack. I closed my eyes for a moment and smiled as my vision flashed to my mate for a second.

I opened my eyes and shook my head.

No.

Satin whimpered in my head, we both hated who we got pared with, but if he was going to think that we were going to go down like a cat and mouse game.

Then he was wrong about who the cat was. Or in our case wolf.

I zipped up my backpack and pulled a strap over my shoulder, then walked out of the cave. Holding the backpack strap tightly.

I smiled as the birds around me chirped as I walked through the abandoned territory, the life here thrived. It was always free and had no one in control of it.

I wanted to be like that. Be free and untamed, but clearly my life had other plans for me.

Once I sighed and walked up to the border, I stepped out of the abandoned territory and walked into the stretch of unclaimed territory.

I was so close to Ivory Pack I could almost smell my old pack, and I felt a pang of guilt stab my heart as I walked just outside the border of Ivory Pack.

I froze when I saw four wolves begin invading the pack territory, werewolves.

They're not from Ivory Pack. I know the packs scent.

I turned away, and continued walking away.

I'm not part of their pack anymore it's not my problem.

I gritted my teeth and Satin whimpered in my head. They hurt us and caused us to hide our true selves.

I stopped in my tracks, I clenched my backpack strap and cursed underneath my breath. I pulled the backpack off my shoulders and placed it in a nearby bush.

I turned around and looked at the four wolves; then j began shifting, the bones popping out of place and echoing in the forest. My clothes tearing at the seams, as my figure slowly lowered itself to the ground.

So much for changing.

I can't just stand there while my old pack gets attacked.

I shook my black fur and twitched my ear as I shut Satin out. The she-wolf trying to scold me for what I was doing.

Despite the way they treated me my entire life. They're still my family.

I hesitated but walked into the territory, the four rouges didn't even notice me as the continued to walk closer. They did a terrible job at hiding their scent.

One growled and slowed to a halt, it was a grey wolf with amber eyes the other three stopped and their gazes turned to me.

I sat down calmly and watched at the four wolves bickered on who would attack the 'Omega' in front of them, nipping and growling at each other.

We're these wolves really here to attack Ivory Pack when they can't even function as one?

How weak did they think Ivory Pack was? I mean I understand it's not the highest in the ranks, but it still isn't the lowest either.

The grey wolf snarled and charged at me, I stood up and smiled.

The the fight for Ivory Pack begin again.
