When I walk down memory lane

I find myself gathering up the tears

Reliving certain moments of my life

Ones that were dark, and others filled with light

I see the progress that has been made

And sometimes it's hard to believe it's there

As every day feels the same

I'm living in a repeating cycle of being tormented by myself

But when I see the little girl that used to live

A girl that was in the mirror

A girl that was in my soul

I want to make her happy, and make her proud

So I get up and try

I try for another day

So that way she can be proud

And maybe I'll finally be okay
