Rico's phone rang as he was lounging on his bed, playing on his iPad. "Your belongings have arrived, friend," the delivery man's voice on the other end of the line said with a chuckle. "Come out and get it." Rico groaned and reluctantly made his way to the front door.

As he stepped outside, he was greeted by his mother's best friend, John, a middle-aged delivery man with a grumpy demeanor. "Hurry up, I've got a lot on my plate today," John grumbled as he handed Rico a package from Mexico. "This must be from your father. In any case, sign this paper." But as Rico signed the paperwork, John's focus shifted to a classic car passing by and he began chatting about his recent love life. Rico, not in the mood for small talk, quickly finished up and returned inside.

As he opened the package, Rico's face lit up with excitement. Inside was a dusty, inconspicuous cylindrical object that matched the design of a disc his father had given him from the Mayan civilization's ruins. Rico placed the cylinder into the empty hole in the center of the disc, completing it. "Now let's see how you'll look in your new home," he said with a grin, as he danced his way to his relic room.

Rico, was born into a family of respected archaeologists. His parents instilled in him a love for history and a passion for uncovering the secrets of the past. Growing up, Rico spent countless hours exploring ancient ruins and uncovering hidden artifacts alongside his parents.

Despite his privileged lifestyle and the wealth his parents provided, Rico found himself constantly drawn to the thrill of discovery and the satisfaction of unearthing lost artifacts. He knew from a young age that he wanted to follow in his parents' footsteps and become an archaeologist himself.

But as Rico got older, he struggled to find his place in the field. He felt overshadowed by his parents' accomplishments and doubted his own abilities. He struggled to find his own unique contributions to the field and often felt like he couldn't live up to his parents' expectations.

Despite these struggles, Rico never gave up on his passion for archaeology. He continued to explore ruins and uncover artifacts alongside his parents, always searching for that one discovery that would solidify his place in the field and make him feel like he belonged.

His parents were always supportive of his passion for archaeology, they saw how much he loved it and how good he was at it, but Rico couldn't shake off the feeling of inadequacy. He knew that he needed to find his own way, to make his own discoveries and create his own legacy in the field of archaeology.

With his parents' encouragement and support, Rico embarks on a journey to make his mark in the field of archaeology, to find his own unique contributions, and to make a name for himself. He is determined to prove himself as an accomplished archaeologist and to make his parents proud.

As he surveyed his mini-museum of antiquities, Rico couldn't help but feel grateful for the life his parents had given him.

Rico carefully placed the completed disc among the rest of his collection, admiring its beauty. The disc served as both a timekeeper and a ceremonial tool in the ancient Mayan civilization, and it was a valuable addition to his collection. Rico's father, had found the disc during one of his excavations and sent it to Rico as a gift.

As Rico looked at the disc, he couldn't help but feel a sense of connection to the ancient civilization that created it. He had always been fascinated by history and the stories that artifacts like this could tell. He spent the next few hours lost in thought, imagining the lives of the people who had used this disc centuries ago.

But eventually, Rico had to snap out of his reverie and get back to reality. He had plans to meet up with some friends later that evening and needed to get ready. As he left his relic room and closed the door behind him, Rico couldn't help but feel a sense of longing to return to the past and explore the secrets that the ancient world held. He knew that his collection, as impressive as it was, was just a small glimpse into the rich history of humanity.

But for now, Rico was content to enjoy the present and the people in his life. As he got ready for his evening out, he couldn't help but smile, knowing that the ancient disc would be waiting for him when he returned home.

As the evening progressed, Rico met up with his friends at a local bar, but his mind couldn't help but wander back to the disc and the ancient civilization that created it. He found himself telling his friends about the disc and the history behind it, much to their amusement. They were intrigued by his passion for history and the artifacts he had collected.

As the night went on, Rico's friends suggested that they should all go to an archaeological exhibit that was happening in the city the following weekend. Rico was excited by the idea and couldn't wait to see the ancient artifacts and learn more about the history of different civilizations.

The following weekend, Rico and his friends went to the exhibit, and it was an eye-opening experience for Rico. He was able to see ancient artifacts from all around the world, from Egyptian mummies to Greek pottery, and it only fueled his passion for history even more. As he walked through the exhibit, he couldn't help but think about how much more there was to discover and explore in the ancient world.

After the exhibit, Rico and his friends went out for drinks and discussed what they had seen. Rico couldn't stop talking about the different artifacts and the stories behind them. His friends could see the excitement in his eyes, and they couldn't help but be impressed by his knowledge and passion.

From that day on, Rico's love for history and archaeology only grew stronger. He continued to add to his collection of artifacts and read every book he could get his hands on about ancient civilizations. He also started volunteering at local museums and even went on a few archaeological digs with his father. He found that the more he learned about the past, the more it helped him to understand and appreciate the present.

On that night Rico had a dream, he felt like he was falling through a tunnel of swirling colors and shapes. He couldn't see anything clearly, but he could hear the sound of ancient chanting and the roar of the jungle. He felt like he was being transported through time and space.

When the suction finally stopped, Rico found himself standing in the middle of an ancient Mayan village. The people were dressed in traditional clothing and were going about their daily business. Rico was in awe as he looked around, taking in the sights and sounds of the village.

He walked around, trying to take in as much as he could. He saw women weaving, men carving, and children playing. He felt like he had been transported back in time, and he was living among the ancient Mayans.

But it was all a dream as his eye opened up, he decided to go check his museum of artifact. Especially the one he had fix.

Rico examined the disc fragments in his palms. They felt cold and heavy, much like the loneliness that was weighing him down. It was a pity that the disc was imperfect, as it mirrored his own sense of being lost and alone.

"Unexpectedly, my mother and father have agreed to look for all the missing artifacts and send them back home," he grunted.

They were thoughtful in doing this, Rico thought as he finished assembling the disc and placed it on a shelf among the other artifacts in the room.

His thoughts now muddled by other problems, Rico mused, "When I'm in the mood, I'll deal with the disc." However, as he tried to place the disc on the shelf, it slipped from his grasp and fell to the floor.

Rico's heart raced as he feared the disc might break, knowing that most of these artifacts were now quite delicate due to the degradation inflicted by time. He remembered having accidentally damaged a duplicate Ming Dynasty porcelain platter in the past. The fact that the plate had survived both war and the passage of time before being destroyed by him still weighed heavily on his mind.

To his relief, the Mayan cultural stone plate was unharmed. Rico breathed a sigh of relief and leaned forward, his gaze fixed on the relic.

Unintentionally, his head bumped into another ornament, causing it to fall off the shelf and land exactly where he had placed the extra component on the disc. Rico's jaw dropped as he watched the ornament defy physics and disappear into the disc.

His body grew cold and his hands trembled as he wiped his eyes in disbelief. His gaze was locked to the floor as he picked up the ornament and noticed that the spot where he had grabbed it was now spotless. There was nothing out of place and the floor was empty.

"What the heck?" Rico exclaimed, perplexed, as he looked up to make sure that there was definitely one thing missing from the shelf. He continued to stare at the disc in amazement.

The ornament had completely disappeared into the disc, which was still there. Unbelievably, Rico reached out to touch the disc's center to see if he was being deceived or if reality was something else. As he touched the center of the disc, his hand disappeared, and he felt an odd sensation, as if his hand was submerged in water.

Suddenly, the disc's center exploded into a suction force, and Rico was pulled in before he could even blink.
