《The Mandalorian of Attack On Titan.》Chapter 22

With the successful capture of the Female Titan, the Scouts returned back to the safety of the walls. The capture of the shifter was kept a secret and known only by a handful of people. While the rest of the legion were resting, the top commanders of the legion discussed their options.
Erwin:"So, do we know who she is?"
Hange:"Annie Leonhart, she graduated from the class of the 104th, joined the Military Brigade."
Erwin:"Hm, did she have anything of importance on her person?"
Levi:"Nothing but a ring with a tiny blade." He gave the ring to Erwin.
Hange:"It's important to point out from my tests with Eren, to turn into a titan he would need to cause harm to himself for it to happen. Also, a specific objective would be need to kept in mind for it to happen as well."
Erwin:"We could deduce her intentions were to capture Eren and this helped her transform then."
Hange:"Precisely."
Erwin:"Has she woken up, Levi?"
Levi:"No."
Erwin:"Until she wakes up, Levi will stay ready in case she decides to shift. Everything in this room will stay in this room, do not discuss or mention anything about her."
Hange:"Understood."
Levi:"We should just kill her before she does something stupid."
Erwin:"She may hold valuable information so that's a no. Return to your duties and rest, I know you're mourning Gunther's death but don't let that stop you, Levi."
Levi:"Tch."
All the while they were discussing what to do with her, Annie had already escaped from the cells with outside help...
___________
Din:"Can I get this one, please?"
Vendor:"Of course, sir!"
Mikasa:"A ring? Who is it for?"
Din:"Carla...actually give me another one."
Mikasa:"Frieda?"
Din:"Yeah, if I buy one then she'll be asking where the other one is at."
Mikasa:"Sounds like something she would ask."
Vendor:"Here you go, sir! A great choice for the lucky lady!"

Din:'Ladies but who's asking. What's she looking at?' He turned to Mikasa who was staring at a small bracelet lying on the vendors stall. The vendor also saw this and whispered to Din.
Vendor:"I think the little lady would like that for a gift."
Din was unsure about buying it but he suddenly remembered something. The chain mail armor he left for Grogu. Feeling sentimental about leaving his Child, he wanted to leave Mikasa something as well in case anything happened.
Din:"Give me the bracelet too."
Mikasa:"Huh? I don't need it."
Din:"Your face earlier says otherwise."
Vendor:"Excellent choice sir."
Din:"Here, make sure you don't wear that when we're fighting otherwise it'll break." Taking the bracelet, Din put it around her wrist. While doing so, he saw the wrapping that covered her mark. He looked at it and she felt the hard stare.
Mikasa:"Does it bother you?"
Din:"What? No, you said your mother gave you this so there's no reason why I should be bothered by it." When he finished, Mikasa raised her wrist up and let the bracelet glimmer from the sun shine.
Mikasa:"I like it, thank you." She gave him a smile, Din couldn't help himself and ruffled her hair.
Din:"Good to hear, kid. Let's go."
_________
At the house where the three adults resided, Carla was currently hanging their clothing to dry. As she went to hang another dress to dry, Mikasa walked through the clothes line surprising her.
Carla:"Goodness! Don't scare me like that!" Mikasa laughed at the reaction she got.
Mikasa:"I couldn't help myself and I don't think he will either."
Carla:"What?" As soon as she questioned the girl, Din came up from behind and swept her off her feet yet again.
Carla:"Kya! Din, damn you, I don't like being up this high!"
Din:"Don't worry, we're almost to the top."
As they reached the top of the walls, he landed as well as gently setting her down. Carla didn't like that surprise for obvious reasons so she quickly scolded him.

Carla:"Are you crazy!? What if that had gone horribly wrong!? You know I hate heights!" She was fuming after his little stunt but he didn't mind it.
The setting was just right for him to ask his question so he pulled out a small box from his pouch. Carla took a minute to fully process it but soon realized he was proposing to her.
Carla:"Din..."
Din:"I was wondering if you would do me the honor in partaking marriage with me." Being so formal made her chuckle.
Carla:"You could have asked me if I would marry you, you know?"
Din:"I didn't know that actually."
Carla:"I'd love to but on one condition..."
Din:"What would that be?"
Carla:"May I remove your helmet? I would like to see the man I will be marrying. I know it's against your 'creed' but marriage is also a form of a creed."
Din was stumped on this part now. This wouldn't be the first time he would have to remove his helmet, however. Saving Grogu before had turned into his top priority rather than his Mandalorian creed. Carla looked at him with eyes of doubt at this point wondering if he would really go through with it.
Din sighed, he walked up to her so she could be the one to remove his helmet. Carla's heart was racing at the thought of finally meeting the man in hiding. Once again, she reached up to his helmet and grasped the edges.
Slowly lifting, she started to see his chin, then his nose, then his eyes until she saw him.
Carla's hazel eyes stared deep into his brown ones with the two not saying a word to each other. Din looked calm but on the inside, he felt naked and uncomfortable without his helmet.
Din:"S-so? Did I disappoint?" He asked breaking the silence.
Carla:"No, you're perfect. As for your question earlier, I will be happy to marry you. Thank you for trusting me enough to let me see your face. I understand how much your creed meant to you and by doing this shows how much trust you have in me."
Din:"Yeah, although this isn't the first time I had taken it off. The first time I did it was to save someone I cared deeply about. I still care about the child to this day."
Carla:"I'm sure, wherever they are, that they're doing just fine." She placed her hand on his cheek for comfort.
Behind him the sound of cables reeling back caught his attention. His mind was racing when Carla looked over his shoulder to see who it was but the voice gave it away.
Mikasa:"D-dad?"
Mikasa saw Carla holding his helmet as his back faced her. Carla looked at Din and gave him a reassuring smile so he wouldn't have to fear anything. Taking a deep breath of air, he turned around to face his Foundling.
Din:"H-hey."
Father and daughter both shed tears since this was the first time the two faced each other without his helmet being in the way. Carla knew it was a special moment for the two so she gave Din a little push forward.
Mikasa ran towards him, crashing into him for a hug. Din stumbled back a little bit, laughing and crying simultaneously as did Mikasa.
Mikasa:"I never thought I would see your face."
Din:"I planned on that someday but I did not think it would be today."
Mikasa:"It's not fair that Carla got to see your face first."
Din:"It just happened, I can't really be blamed for that."
Din looked at Carla and held out his arm to allow her in the hug. She happily joined in marking the start of a new family. He looked up at the setting sun with a large smile on his face. That smile fell when he saw a ship appear from afar.
The ship being that of his old friend....

Post War Rules
Life on Torus Terminal is usually fast paced, but simple. A frontier Terminal has little room for easy living, but the great, circular station does boast shopping and culinary experiences from many Imperial races and cultures. Any star is, by its nature, extremely far from its neighbors. But laser highways, and the great shimmering sails of the light-rider spaceships make the trip into only about ten years. Still, the denizens of Torus Terminal eagerly await the day when the Anti-Euclidean Engine their station is built around finally comes online. Once that is done, they will have unfettered access to the entire Empire. Instantaneous travel and trade across hundreds of stars. Torus Terminal does boast one other oddity: a creature which calls itself Human. As he says, the last of his kind for now. He has made quite the life for himself on Torus Terminal, especially in the darker corners of the station. The elites of Torus Terminal praise his name, for once he took up arms, crime began to fall. What they did not realize was that was because he had claimed the seedy underbelly of Torus Terminal for himself and his own goals. The elites praise him as a paragon of law. The criminals fear him as a ruthlessly clever crime boss. Those closest to him, know him as the General. This story was originally posted on the Humanity Fuck Yeah subreddit, where it evolved from a simple play on a historical figure in a science fiction setting into a full blown space opera. I kind of took it as an opportunity to explore a setting I've had rolling around in my head for years. I also decided that it would be nice to have it in a place where I could more easily come back and edit it later, so I'm reposting it here. Here's a link to the original posting if you're interested: https://www.reddit.com/r/HFY/comments/e9cwpl/post_war_rules/ If my genre and tagging is subpar, let me know. I'm still new to Royal Road and I'm open to help. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, or discuss. I love comments, and so long as we keep things civil I also love criticism.

Chaos Wave
The year is 2055. Virtual Reality has been around for nearly forty years, and the Full Sensation Dive System has been around for about thirty. The various countries of Earth have long since given up on Warring against each other in this dimension when it turned out that with the FSDS (Full Sensation Dive System) virtual worlds became real, especially once Richard Alonzo Albeque's AIQNPC (Artificial Intelligence Quest and Non-Player Character) System was released and spread like a wild virus across all the active MMOs. People vanished from their Dive system, leaving nothing behind of the person they were, and the Characters they were in game become locked out, and no longer responsive to the System. In addition to this, they are suddenly showing up on ALL servers of a game at the same time, almost as if they were now an NPC. The governments put a stop to all distribution of FSDS Technology, and keep an eye on these 'Digitized Players'. Ten years pass and one of the first ever Digitized Players, a Level 500 Catgirl by the name of Atreya the Dawnbirth, created a stable portal between their MMO and Earth. With the return of one of the players, the governments remove the bans on FSDS Technology, which has still been researched heavily while under the ban. Wars break out over control of Virtual Worlds, but these wars are all fought ON the Virtual World, so the Earth isn't polluted further. Immortality is now available to all who seek it, if you can find a World to call your own. Of course, nobody paid attention to one of the few warnings Atreya brought back with her... The NPCs sometimes became sentient and disobeyed coding laws.
