《Judah Judas Adventures》Chapter 42 - Human-Phoenix versus Fiona
Advertisement
We arrived at the place where we have to execute orders our General has told us a few hours later. Fiona and Emily go with the other three knights into the North, while I and the other three squires are going to the South. We thought this mission would be simple, but when the General announced that we would have to fight a few bigger targets, among those targets was a Human-Phoenix, which managed to land a few teammates, among others. which and Emily, using the firepower specific to phoenix birds. Just then I wanted to fight him to get revenge for the fact that this enemy put a member of my family on the ground, but Fiona, who is nervous, starts to stop me and orders me to try to heal the group's teammates who have fallen to the duty of a soldier.
I went to the first teammate nearby, who is Camille, and suffers from severe burns. I approach her, point both hands at her body, and begin to perform the healing spell. As time began to heal her, I glanced at Fiona to see how the fight between her and that enemy went. To be honest, it went pretty well to Fiona because the enemy was throwing some fire at Fiona, but, with the help of her giant swords, she stopped that fire to hit her. The enemy did not like this, so he decided to flee and try to attack her by using a powerful landing. Fiona took her Vewolf full form and she became invisible to the enemy, which has made him stopped from coming to her and made him look around for an invisible fighter.
The enemy decides to shout at the sky and throw fire at random places, just to make sure he hits Fiona. Part of the fire was about to hit me and Camille, who was about to wake up, but something miraculous happened, a large ball of water hits that fire, which makes it disappear in the smoke. I look straight at where that fireball came from, and I notice Emily, who is barely standing and smiling at me. Immediately, Camille wakes up, at which she looks at me and thanked me for saving her. She was about to get up and take her weapon to attack the enemy, but I stopped her and told her to not interrupt the fight between that beast and Fiona.

Immediately, I leave Camille and go to Emily as fast as I can because she needs someone to heal her wounds. You see, a wizard cannot heal automatically, only if he is of a legendary or master level, and such wizards are hard to find in such a fantastic world. Right when I arrive at her, my aunt asks me.
"Are you alright?"
"Yes. I am." I said to Emily which has started to worry about me. "Also, there are four enemies, not three."
"Huh?"
"One scout told me he saw a fourth enemy, which is considered as being a Vewolf... That's what he told me a few minutes earlier."
"I see... Thanks for sharing this information. Now we have to help Fiona."
I took another look at the fight, and Fiona using her big sword, deflect every fireball that got launched by that Human-Phoenix. Fiona, when she deflects the fireball, she did not use that to deflect in other parts, instead, she used that to hit the enemy, but after almost twenty fireballs were launched, she missed him. I take my eyes off the beat and look at the wounds Emily has and they begin to be healed by my healing spell. As soon as my aunt's wounds heal, I head to another teammate to begin the healing spell on him. Emily goes to the last teammate, who is the assassin who cleaned up enemies who captured the poor scout who was spying on their movements.
After a few seconds, I heard a big explosion on the side where Group B is fighting, and what I saw there was sad. A few enemy soldiers were using cannons to kill our soldiers, which they succeed to kill a few of them, and later on, the enemy canons got destroyed by a giant fireball who hit them. I looked at the sky and the dragon with the one who is riding that flying monster has launched that fireball by using the dragon fire-breathing ability. I immediately healed a soldier who needed to be healed. To which he gets up and asks me where we are. I tell her that on the battlefield, and he, being completely healed, takes his weapon, which is a mace, and goes to help Fiona, which is too late because Fiona, right now, managed to kill the beast alone and has minor injuries. Just a few small scratches on the scars she has on her womanly muscles.

I go to Fiona and start applying the healing spell on her. She was standing and waiting for me to finish everything I had to do. While I was healing her, I couldn't help myself, and I decided to ask her why she wanted to fight that monster on her own, and Fiona gave me the answer to which, to be honest, I would be expected from her.
"He called me an easy-women," she says to me.
"I see... You are not an easy woman, just a strong woman." I say to Fiona making her feeling kinda happy, but then I thought to myself. "These sisters..."
In just a few seconds, I finished healing Fiona, but right when all six of us we were about to leave, Fiona stopped after she made a few steps and looked back at the body of that Human-Phoneix. Then, she bows to that body and continues to move. I do not have any idea what does that move means, but it is probably used as showing respects, so I bowed back to that dead body and continued walking to the next villain.
After a few meters of walking through the trees, all six of us have suddenly stopped because Fiona made us. Then she whispered to us "Beware of the Goblins.". Fiona has decided to use her full form and became camouflaged, and the assassin has been decided to do this move just to attack the surrounding enemies. All four of us had to just hide behind the trees or, like Emily, use a Shield spell. Of course, I can use a shield spell, but, I have started to feel dizzy, because of how much mana I used to heal my teammate's wounds.
Using magic requires mana, but four types of spell do not really require mana and they can easily be used by anyone, and when I meant anyone... I literally meant anyone! Those four types of spells are healing, shield, slowing down, and flu speels. But I also read from a book one day, a person can't contain these four types of spells, only two at most. I don't have the slowdown and shield spell at the moment, but I do have the healing and flu spell, a spell that isn't as useless as it sounds. So, I have decided to consult the spell book and found out a spell that could protect me, but it requires my maximum mana I present in the body and feeling quite drained, this will probably would not be enough, but Emily can use the shield on other people, so she will probably help me.
I was about to ask her, but something has to happen. A rain of arrows comes to us. But those arrows were not the normals ones, these kinds of arrows have some weird substances on their parts. Fiona saw those arrows and ran away from the battlefield, an image I never thought I would notice, and she shouted at us all.
"Poisoned arrows! RUN!"
At this signal, we all ran away because such arrows cannot be cured as easily as it seems, only with the help of a doctor or someone who knows medicine, who could cut that infected limb in less than two minutes. before the one who was pierced by it begins to fall into the realm of death. We dodged a few of the arrows, Emily having the shield spell activated on her to handle it much easier than us. We dodged those arrows, but right we were running, I glanced behind me and noticed four arrows coming at me. If those arrows hit me I will be instantly dead for the reason that four arrows can easily speed up the dead time.

Sorcery in Boston
The timid daughter of some of the greatest spellcasters ever to have lived has found herself in another world, courtesy of magic gone awry. In Boston, Massachusetts, in the year 1935, she finds some kind souls in a hard era. In the heart of the Great Depression, as war looms around the corner, she seeks to find her place, and must come to terms with both who she is and what she truly desires. Author's Notes: Release Note: I recently realized what the hold up is. My current mental state is not compatible with the planned ending. If I wrote the ending according to what currently feels right, it will be a wretched, cruel ending that feels monstrously unfair and invalidates the work of the various characters... because that's how my life feels at the moment. The planned ending is coming out hollow and awkward, no matter how I write it, and so I've been bashing my head. I will finish it, once I manage to either brute force something decent out, or once my head gets screwed on straight. Audience: This story is not for young children - it contains some profanity, sexual content, violence, gore, and significant adult themes. Most of these are handled delicately enough not to upset teens or adults (hopefully), hence the lack of relevant tags, but it is nonetheless unsuitable for youth. It's fairly slow paced, and focused on the development of very human, very flawed individuals. Length / Completion Estimates: The outline currently involves two books. Book 1 is expected to be done with Chapter 43. It'll probably be completely finished by sometime in March of this year. I expect to move on to the far-more-lighthearted Of Gods and Dungeons (currently in progress / on hiatus). Afterwards, I may decide to redo Book 1, or write Book 2, or actually start sharing the story most dear to me, that I've been working on for several years now. Draft 1: Please be aware that this is first draft material. I do intend to come back to do a second draft after the story is complete. If anyone notices any issues whatsoever with the story, please let me know (pm, etc) so that I can improve the second draft. Writer's Pledge: I've taken the Writer's Pledge, meaning I'm commiting to completing this story. I'm a proud member of WriTE, a group dedicated to finishing stories. It will be done! Behind the Scenes notes: This picture was commissioned from an inked artist by the name of DanP. Up until the time of the protagonist's arrival, history has proceeded as before. Some places and characters have been borrowed from wikipedia entries of interesting figures from the time. I will make note in the chapter comments when such things come up. Naturally, I've taken a great deal of liberty with them. In interest of respecting individuals, I've either attempted to portray them as accurately as possible, or modified them sufficiently enough that they're simply an inspiration, instead of a real portrayal. I've attempted to be as accurate to the era as possible, but I'm not a historian. If you're aware of inaccuracies, please, bring them to my attention so that I can correct them.
8 115Origin Point
Arc 1 - Azzarath:Origin Point begins with a celebration of the arrival of an Immortal, male kitsune. Whereupon he begins to spin the tale of his origins to a gathered crowd well into such a celebration. The story he weaves begins upon his first world, our Earth, where his first body is dying from something incurable. He is then transferred into a game-like world, and gains a new body that is far stronger. However, this game-like world has its own secrets, which causes the MC to be summoned to a new world. It is here, in this new world, where his personality really comes forth, shaking the world to its very core.Arc 2 - Terra:The story continues with the kitsune's new audience, an army of monsters, as they journey from the forests of Nu'Bai and onwards towards the Lichdom known solely as Necropolis. Whereupon they learn of how he conquered worlds within an area known only as The Abyss. There, his past self meets new creatures and annoyances, as he and his continue to grow ever closer to obtaining their world called Terra. Arc 3 - Abyss:War. The end result in a conflict of words which fall upon deafened ears of those who could not come to an understanding; an agreement. Instead, they must fight one another so that one must come out on top in order to shout to the heavens, "I am right; you are wrong!" Thus is the same in this installment within the series of Origin Point, but instead of outright war, the Ageless speaks to a new audience of Gods, Goddesses, Immortals, and their children of how his past self had to venture into the tutorial world known as Terra where he must fight a War of Attrition. This is so, as he must draw out the God reigning over their world so that he may fight and conquer this deity in order to regain what he desires most. His world. His Terra.Special Thanks to Christian Bentulan for creating the covers for Origin Point.https://www.facebook.com/coversbychristian/___________________________________________________________Origin Point was inspired by the games Everquest and D&D, along with the book series Dragonlance, and the light novel Overlord. This story is a dark fantasy full of torturous experiences. It is not for everyone, but it is tempered with some fluff.
8 481Murphy's Law
****Story has been dropped for being too dark**** "Anything that can go wrong, will." But what if you know what goes wrong in advance? On Earth, monsters come in human form. Some are ostracized or locked up, but others walk amongst us. They’re more common than one would think and they grow in number the higher in the hierarchy you go. With 1 in 100 people preying on the other 99, eventually, a world trying to summon a hero might end up with a monster that doesn't feel like playing along. _____________________________ The story is my take on some of my favorite genre's and tropes, some of which I have no I idea if they'll work well together. English is not my main language so if you notice any typos or grammar mistakes please tell me so I can correct them. Criticism and critique are more than welcome:) A chapter every Tuesday.*I do not own the cover image, it's taken from google.
8 68The Experimental Dungeon
Having all your memories erased and be reborn as a baby without any knowledge, or giving the job of managing a Dungeon without being its Core – a very easy decision for everyone, right? Right? Right? “I really should have remembered from all those fanfics and dungeon stories that those ROBs always screw with their mortal playthings” growls Claudia as she checked her Status for the umpteenth time. “How dare that... that...that manipulative thing did this to me… And no matter what extra options he gifts me with, I will NOT use them to create a hentai dungeon or anything like that” This will not be the usual dungeon core-type story found around here, but the main difference will only be explained in chapter 4 by the Dungeon Pixie. Also – despite the warning please don’t expect any explicit scenes in this story. The warnings are there because mature themes will be mentioned (and not only because the Higher Power provided some special options), but the MC is dead set on evading those options as she sees them as traps. So there are no explicit descriptions planned at all. If that changes I will give extra warnings in the chapter title, but I plan on handling things other ways. Later chapters might go a bit farther than the simple mentions in chapter 2, but don’t expect much more. Status Update 04. April 22 Writing Buffer used up, as said before I'm switching to one chapter a week on fridays. The new cover is the second placeholder, but what I really want will have to be commissioned and take a while. At least it is better than the map-part from chapter 4 that was the first placeholder.
