The jail rod was broken by the men and the emperor fisted my hair and dragged me out of the basement.

"Wait, wait. I'll kill you infront of Arjun and then finish his chapter. You know what? Our death will not seem to be so painful as we fear of. But, the death of our loved ones is the worst thing one can experience.", He said.

So, anyway, I'm gonna die right?

"I'll take you to the war land and then send you to heaven.", He said venom dripping from his voice.

He dragged me inside a horse carriage and the horse started running in seconds.

Meanwhile, I was sitting there having no clue what really is happening.

As far as my knowledge, there is a war happening here, Arjun became the emperor and someone is trying to capture the throne.

Right now, I was really really afraid about dying. Should I really die in hands of a cruel man?

I don't want to reach the war zone because I have never visited one and I never want to.

"Why are you in jail?", He asked all of sudden.

"I was falsely accused of killing his mother.", I said in a low tone because I was scared of him.

"So, who really liked his mother?", He asked and I have no way other than replying him. If I don't reply, what if he hurts me?

"My stepsister. she was the one who really killed her and she framed me.", I replied without even looking at him.

"I just pity you. Why are you staying with a prick like him? How about this? I can help you get revenge from Arjun. You can kill him with your very own hands.", He offered.

"No thanks.", I said and the brightness in his face was turned off immediately.

As the carriage passed by I was getting more and more scared. In these days, God have really taught me his unlucky I am to live a life like this.

I always get caught in something that I'm not involved in.

The soft breeze was no longer giving me peace. It only gave me the fear I'm trying to ignore these times.

Me and Tharun rushed to the palace where we saw the whole palace on fire. Our eyes widened and we entered inside with a great deal of effort.

We entered into the basement and checked each and every cell but Thara wasn't there.

"Could it be, Pandiya Emperor took her?", Tharun asked and I thought this is possible too.

"He might have took her because he knows I love her so much than my life.", I said.

We saw a piece of paper right infront of her cell door and I picked it up immediately.

"Arjun, let's leave from here first or I'm afraid we'll burn alive before burying that bastard.", He said and we immediately got out of the palace.

The place where we born, the place where we grew up and got trained was burning into ashes now and I couldn't do anything about it which was a sad thing.

I started reading the letter which was written by the emperor of Pandya dynasty.

First of all, I admire how you entered into a burning building just to save your love. I have to agree how much you love her..

But, note my words, Arjun. I'm going to turn this whole dynasty into ashes just like your palace is burning. Also, I will give you the worst pain during your death.

You're pathetic right now, Arjun. A new emperor like you have no experience and also your father left your side. Also, your wife is going to die soon.

"We have to go to the war land. That's where he took her.", I said and he nodded. We immediately climbed into the horse and made our way towards the war land.

Each passing second was so tensing. I was scared about her.

"Where is Keerthana and your daughter?", I asked.

"Thank God, they went to her hometown. Her father is sick so she decided to stay there until he gets cured..", he said and I nodded sighing in relief.

So, we don't have to worry about Keerthana and her daughter right now because they're safe.

Thara would also have been safe if I sent her with Tamizh. I regret it right now.

As we reached the war land, I looked at the soldiers who were fighting and it was blood everywhere.

My eyes searched for only one person that is Thara. As soon as I spotted her with the emperor who was fisting her hair and yelling at her, I ran towards them.

The emperor started laughing like maniac looking at me all scared and panicked just for her.

"Look at great emperor Arjun! Look how pathetic he looks!", He laughed crazily.

The strong belief of victory was visible in his eyes. But, I think that belief itself is going to hurt him so bad.

That's when he pulled her towards his arms and placed a knife on her neck.

"Wait!", I yelled where he smirked.

"Tsk, tsk! There's no way other than witnessing your love's life leaving out of her body.", He said and he was about to slit her throat where she closed her eyes tightly.

Before he could do that, an arrow from nowhere pierced through his chest where the knife from his hand was slipped and he backed off.

I know this is the right time and I took another arrow and aimed it right into his neck where his lifeless body laid in the ground.

I looked at the source of arrow and looked at Tamizh coming in a horse with his arrow and bow in his hand.

I sighed in relief as he came towards us.

"Why did I even leave her with you. You couldn't even save her."

"Tamizh! I don't have time for my ego now. I want help from you and your kingdom.", I said and he got down the horse.

"What? Can't you see the emperor is dead? It's easy to win the war..", he said as if it's nothing.

"He have two brothers and a father for God's sake. His father will be back to emperor's position until new emperor is selected.", I explained where he seemed to understand.

"What do you want me to do right now?"

"Nothing big from you. Just take care of your sister."

"What the- you think I'm not worthy enough to fight these people?"

"No. I just want then major help from your father. Without any guidance and mentor, I realised that I can't do it properly. I want your father to guide me right now.", I said.

"Do you think the Chola emperor would help us?", Tharun asked.

"No. He wouldn't. I'm sure he'd always favour the Pandiyas since they have a good friendship. My father is just a king of a small Kingdom. He might not help you with ammunition or soldiers but he have a lot of experience in war that he can advice you with these.", Tamizh said and I agreed.

"So, can you take him here?"

"But he's sick. I don't think he'd be able to travel all way along."

"Okay, Tharun, you just meet the king and explain the current situation. Till then, we'll manage here.", I said and Tharun immediately left in his horse.

We went to my ammunition camp to discuss what we're going to do next.

We settled and gulped some water first. Tamizh was checking her neck if there's any wound but thankfully there was none.

I remembered the words she said to me and hesitated a bit to talk to her.

I hate you Arjun. I don't care if I come out of this cell, or I rot in here but never expect that I will live with you again. I would rather die than living with you.

It was somehow giving me pain in heart but I know I shouldn't be feeling this towards her because she was the one who killed my mother.

"What are you going to do next?", Tamizh asked.

"What else do I have other than attacking. I have gathered all my soldiers and fighting."

"How much time you'll be able to fight?"

"Till I die, I guess..", I replied where he sighed.

"You know how to handle a war or not, Arjun?"

"I don't know how to handle it. I only know to fight. My father only teached me how to fight and I have no idea how to handle it properly!? Enough?", I yelled in frustration.

"You're unbelievable.", He said in disbelief shaking his head.

"Tamizh, calm down..", she soothed him. But she don't bother to soothe me?

That's when we heard the sudden blast sounds outside and me and Tamizh rushed outside where she stayed in the camp.

We say most of our soldiers dead on the field.

We noticed that a man with his black mask approaching towards the land and he started attacking our soldiers..

Me and Tamizh decided to fight. We fought as much as I can also saved ourselves from the arrows and other attacks.

"That's black wolf!", I said. He is the younger brother of the late emperor. I knew he would be holding more grudges against us just because we killed his brother.

He is known as black wolf because he always wears black mask and dress. Even people from his own country is afraid of him.

I was attacking all their men like a crazy man because I was beyond mad at them for killing my men.

I was able to knock down many men at a single time and Tamizh was looking at me surprisingly.

"I hope you don't show that kind of madness to my sister..", he yelled..

That's when an arrow pierced through my shoulder and I groaned. It was painful but I continued to fight.

I took off the arrow from my wound and threw it aside continuing my fight. But this time, I was aware that there was no arrow coming towards my side.

"You okay?", Tamizh asked coming towards my side and that's when a man was running towards him with a knife to stab him.

I pushed him aside where he fell down so did I. The next thing I did was thrashing the man and stabbing him a couple times in his neck with his own knife.

I breather for a few seconds.

"You okay right?", Tamizh asked me. Concern plastered on his face.

I nodded and we continued to fight and beat up each and every men just with our hands. We rarely used sword or arrow because I'm not gonna make my sword bloodied just for these men.

I won't take my sword until someone worthy to oppose me is infront of me.

I still remember how I once fought a sword fight with Tamizh before me and Thara's marriage. I thought he was an worthy opponent.

That's when I saw black wolf approaching me with his sword. Anger was evident in his eyes.

His eyes were red of all anger. He was about to attack me with his black sword when I took my golden sword and resisted him.

I smirked with a chuckle. I know it drives him crazy that I'm chuckling even in this situation. And I know his madness will ruin everything.

"What do you mean by that smirk, Arjun!", He yelled. I heard his rough rugged voice after months.

"You know what? You're a failure that's why your father chose your brother instead of you.", I said and he was literally shaking in anger.

With that, we entered into a sword fight which seemed to not end. Because, neither me nor him is ready to give up.
