a lot has happened within the past year, i got casted as priscilla presley in the new elvis film, i moved to australia and had the best time of my life.

and i fell in love, so incredibly in love.

and i'm back at where it all started, at the met gala where i met austin exactly one year ago.

the crowd is cheering and austin's fingers connect with mine as we climb up the staircase.

i get massive deja vu as we stop for pictures and pose, but as a couple.

austin leans down and whispers "i love you." in my ear, and butterflies erupt in my stomach, i will never not love this man.

i look at him with a smile and whisper "i love you too." and he kisses my lips gently.

we continue climbing until we reach the top where as always, the interviewers wait for us.

the camera adjusts and now it's on us.

"so austin and althea, the elvis movie has just premiered and will be released to the public soon, how do you feel?"

austin speaks first.

"well it was a great experience, filming and taking the time to really get to know elvis." he says and i smile and nod, waiting for the camera to point in my direction.

"yeah, just everything was amazing, i love the entire cast and i can't thank the crew enough, such amazing people were working with us and i couldn't wish for a better experience." i smile and so does the person interviewing us.

"and last time you guys were here you barely new each other, a year later and your in a relationship together and in love. did you ever think that would happen?"

this time i answer first.

with a laugh i say, "well no i definitely didn't expect to be dating austin by the end of the year but i don't regret any of my decisions, i'm with the man i love and i couldn't wish for anything more." i say and austin's grip on my waist tightens.

"i didn't really know what to think at first, i've always been attracted to thea but i had just worked up the confidence to actually be able to ask her out when we were filming. i didn't think she would say yes, but she did, and here we are now." he says with a firm nod and everyone smiles.

"okay well thank you, i think i see lizzo and she is looking gorgeous, but it's nice talking to you two, have a nice night." the interviewer says and we nod, walking away from the cameras.

resting my head on austin's shoulder i sigh, and we slightly sway to the music together.
