All the couples performed all the rituals and finally, I put vermilion on Roshni's hair parting, tied a cheap, metallic nuptial chain around her neck, and after that, we exchanged our vows one at a time with every sacred round around the holy fire, she finally became my wife.

Mihir hugged and congratulated us.

" Congratulations, Bro!! " Shaurya said aloud and all of a sudden there was a commotion. I tensed as he said it aloud in English. Which didn't go with our attire.

I saw a gunman and Hardik look

towards us. They exchanged a look and came to us.

He translated it into Gujarati and I became very angry.

" I just need to see the bride's face. " He said. The other man translated hesitantly.

" Te Mari Patni che!! (She is my wife.)" I shouted. Mihir and the detective also started arguing in gujrati. The other people started getting collected there and they asked me what happened and I explained everything.

People started getting angry with them as he was trying to tease my wife.

They apologized to me and left from there immediately.

" My, God!! You are such an actor!! " Shaurya said.

" Hmm, thanks, but it is not over, I am sure they will come back. " I said.

Mihir's phone was ringing, he picked up the call and smiled.

Just then some high-profile man came to the fair and announced that since the group community wedding was a noble cause, he would like to present rupees Fifty thousand to every new couple.

Of course, we had to get out of there and I didn't want his money but I saw that we were already under scrutiny at least 5 men were watching us. So I clapped enthusiastically.

They started giving money to every couple. Our number was announced and both of us went on the stage to get the money. I looked at the old man and he somehow seemed very familiar. He was also looking at me as if he was trying to recognize me.

Maybe he is also some jeweler or someone I have met earlier. But I was looking different.

I thanked him in gujrati and we touched his feet. After all, he was older than my dad.

But I felt something weird. There was a victorious smile on his face. He signaled something to someone and as soon as we got down the stage, two men came and took us aside.

" What happened, bhai?? " I asked.

" Come with us or we will shoot you." He threatened me and took us to a vacant room nearby.

I saw from the corner of my eye that Mihir and Shaurya saw that and he nodded at me.

Roshni was scared as hell. I caught her hand tightly.

" Don't worry, I am with you. " I said. She hugged me.

In about 5 minutes, 2 other men came to watch us

I was thinking of the way to get out of there when all of a sudden, I saw Shaurya pulling one of them aside and started beating him.

" Roshni, please stay here and be strong we need to help them. Don't worry, the police would be here any moment. " I said and she nodded.

" Take care." She said, I nodded and joined all three of them in beating them to a pulp. Mihir gave me a loaded pistol.

" You have a pistol Mihir bhai? "

" Of course, we have its license. We need to have one for our protection. I stole two of them from Surat and one is dad's pistol. We had to be ready. " He said.

" Mihir, you take Roshni and leave from here, take her to Surat. " I said, I wanted them safe.

" No way, bhai!! You take her away. Shaurya and I will take care of them along with our detective. " He said laughing at me.

" Mihir do as I say. " I said.

" No way, she is too difficult to handle. As it is she is your responsibility. So save her and go to the helipad there are two helicopters to take her away. "

" I will not leave both of you here. Shaurya you take away. " I said.

" Forget it, she called me bhaiyaa, my heart is already broken. If she had not called me bhaiya, I would have taken her with me. Just then we saw more people coming with the old man who was giving money on the stage.

How was he related to us?? Why did he look so familiar??

He wanted to take revenge on us? Why??
