《I Can Make You Smile (David x Reader)// CAMP CAMP》21

"Okay, Campers! We have rented a room that's split into two parts! One part for you guys, and the other part for me and (Y/N)." David explained.
"Yah! Sleepover!" Nikki yelled before running into the room with three beds. "Let's make a fort!" She yelled, starting to rip off the sheets from the farthest bed.
"Don't ruin my bed, Nikki," Niel complained. Max smirked,
"Yeah! Nikki! Let's make a fort!" He yelled before purposely choosing to pull the blankets off Niel's bed. Niel turned to Max,
"You're an asshole-"
"Kids! Keep it nice in here, we have neighbors who will be trying to sleep." I chuckled before picking up a remote and turning on the TV. They all turned to the rooster teeth channel,
"Oooh! TV!!!" They yelled, running to sit in front of the screen.
"Is that the right channel is let them watch-?"
"It'll be fine~!" I said before walking into our part of the hotel room. David left the door open a crack, to be sure we can hear the kids if something goes down. I turned on the TV, turning to David, "What do you usually watch?" I asked. David shrugged,
"I like Bob Ross." He replied. I sighed before flipping through channels.
"Breaking news! A cultist named Danie-"
"Boring," I mumbled,
"Hey, SpongeBob-!"
"Boring."
"WHERES THE LAMB SAUCE-"
"Boring."
"It's yah boi- Smarshmallo-"
"Boring."
David sighed as well, looking at the TV before his eyes trailed to me. He then leaned down, gently pressing his lips against my neck.
"D-David? What are you doing?" I asked.
"Enjoying our alone time." He responded, reaching across my lap to place his hand on the bed.
"We-We're not alone... Nikki, Niel and Max-"
"They're absorbed by the TV." David cut off, biting down slightly. I chuckled softly,

"I thought you were... I don't know, innocent. Maybe blind to anything sexual?" I laughed. David moved away and placed his hands on either side of my waist.
"Well, I guess you shouldn't assume things, should you?" He chuckled. I liked this sexual and flirty David, although I admit I also liked the happy cinnamon roll, David.
I smirked, "I guess not." I wrapped my arms around his neck and brought his lips toward mine. The same feeling I got from our first kiss jolted through my body, a feeling I wish I could experience on a daily occurrence. David gently slid his hands under my thighs, pulling me to him by my legs.
I wrapped them around his waist, as my hands went to tangle in his hair. He tangled his hands in my hair as well, biting my lip and drawing it out before he moved down, planting kisses down my chin to my neck.
"Are you sure this is the time for this...?" I asked. David gently bit down on my collarbone.
"I'm not sure." He replied.
Right then a scream was heard from the living room. David quickly got off me, running to the door and I followed behind,
"WHAT?! WHOS ON FIRE?!" David yelled. I stood behind him, looking at the three who laid underneath their newly built fort as they were watching TV. Nikki frowned,
"The guys sawed her in half!" She yelled. Niel hugged himself,
"It's was so... Much... Blood..." Niel whispered. Max shrugged,
"It was pretty cool." He said. I pressed the off button of the TV,
"I think it might be time you guys sleep. It is pretty late." I said, putting my hands on my hips.
"Aww." Nikki whined, "I won't scream again! I promise!"

"I'm more worried about you having Nightmares, Nikki."
"If we sleep, you and David have to sleep too. Then it's fair." Neil mentioned. I sighed,
"Fine, we're going to bed too."
I grabbed three pillows and handed them to the trio to use. "You guys have a nice rest, we'll most likely get up early tomorrow." I smiled. They all three groaned. David handed them a flashlight,
"I'll allow shadow puppets." He grinned before walking into his room. I smiled at the three kids before turning around,
"Hey... Samuel?" Nikki asked. I turned to the greenish-blue haired girl,
"Yes?" I asked. She paused before pulling the blanket up,
"Can you tuck me in? My mom... Usually leaves before she can tuck me in... And I've heard other campers say that their parents do it..." Nikki stated. Niel looked away,
"You're not the only one, Nikki." He whispered. Max said nothing, he grumpily rolled over, pounding himself into his pillow,
"Just shut up and sleep!" Max yelled. The two paused before laying down.
"Nevermind," Nikki mumbled. I got down to my knees beside Nikki and gently tucked her into the sheet before planting a kiss on her forehead. I then turned to Niel, tucking him in as well and pecking his temple. Finally, Max. I gently brushed my hand over his hair before gently kissing his forehead.
"Goodnight, Kids." I grinned before leaving the room. I gently shut the door, leaving a small crack before turning to David. He stood from the bed and smiled softly.
"Is everything okay?" He asked. I nodded,
"I just... Tucked the kids in." I smiled. He smiled back, a soft smitten one before he gently kissed my lips.
"I think you're a better counselor than a spy."
"I think so too." I smiled before kicking off my boots and crawling into the bed. We turned on the radio, keeping it at a small volume before turning off the TV and curling up to each other. I laid my head against his chest, listening to his heartbeat before I drifted to sleep.
//
Crying, screaming. I quickly awoke, jolting up at the sound. David leaned onto his elbow.
"Is that... Max?" He asked.
"Stay here."
I quickly slid off the bed, walking to the door and to the fort, seeing Max tossing and turning, tears pouring from his eyes. I shook him, causing the boy to jolt, his eyes widening and breathing becoming heavier. I quickly scooped the boy into my arms, him reacting by immediately wrapping his arms around me.
"It's okay, you're safe," I whispered, patting his black fluff of hair. I wasn't sure how to comfort him, but the cliche-fanfiction-nightmare-method seemed to work. His hands gripped my shirt trying to hold back his crying as much as possible.
"I... Didn't mean to wake you." He mumbled double-taking breathes in his sentence from crying. He moved away from my chest, looking up to my eyes.
"It's okay... How about you sleep with me and David? We can both make sure you're safe." I smiled, gently wiping his tear away with my thumb. We both walked back to my room, David sat up in the bed, looking at us with tired eyes,
"Is he okay?" David asked. I nodded, helping Max climb onto the tall mattress. David was confused at first until I crawled into bed, letting Max lay between me and David.
I gently wrapping an arm around the boys small frame. Max turned to me, curling up to my side, and I let my arm rest on David.
David gave a small smile before resting his hand on Max floof of hair, and with that, the three of us fell asleep.

Cosmic Bulldozing Team
"Welcome to the Cosmic Bulldozing Team! CBT for short... references to any other acronyms are purely coincidental." Breve has one exceptional gift: an inborn potential for Resurrection magic. The cost? Every other healing spell she casts is absolutely paltry in comparison to the rest of her race, making her family outcasts within her society. That potential alone, however, classes Breve as a Rank A Healer. By what metric? Well, by the crazy elf lady who’s about to destroy her planet. Wait, what? Here's the low-down: her planet has been targeted by the Cosmic Bulldozing Team, which, as their name suggests, operates in the apparently lucrative business of destroying planets. This comes with the unfortunate side-effect of also murdering everyone who lives there. And Breve would’ve been killed, too, if she hasn’t unintentionally passed their audition for a new healer. Unwillingly saved by the people who just annihilated everything Breve ever knew and loved, she’s dragged into a massive spaceship before, without a moment’s reprieve, being assigned missions to sally forth and commit the same atrocities on other planets. And with Breve's home lying in a pile of celestial bedrock, it seems that cooperating is the only option. And she will cooperate, or so help her, they'll send her back whence she came: into the void of space, where the smashed rubble of her planet now drifts along. "Buckle in, rookie: you've got some planetary destruction ahead of you." (Updates every 2 days.)
